You click on okay, the the Spell Grammar check dialog disappears. This behaviour would be correct if the check had really been completed. What often happens is that, when the Spell Grammar check process is started again (at this point), it finds (can find) many suggested corrections before finally, correctly, declaring the the process is complete. I have not been able to determine a cause or pattern for this behaviour, which is why I had held off reporting it, but it happens often enough to need reporting. Conditional or unconditional background colour must not be dependent on Value Highlighting; especially can a conditional format be underlaid to a calculated cell value that is – for good reason - locked. It should more properly be named Reset. LO needs a proper Undo function, to, for example, undo the last change made. The normal undo function in Writer can be used, but for users who have to alternate between using MS Office (at work) and LibreOffice (at home), it gets confusing. What would perhaps help, is a Back option which would go back to the previous suggested correction - without undoing. It is a feature of human nature to spot something that should have been done (or not done) just as okay/change is clicked. Proper Undo and Back options would greatly aid productivity. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48128 --- Comment #2 from dcr...@yahoo.com 2012-04-01 10:02:54 PDT --- The 3.5.2.2 RC appears to have resolved the behaviors I mentioned here. Full rows are moved, copied, etc. Ranges with empty leading cells no longer pull the content to the leftmost cell. There are still a couple behaviors, one directly related, one related to the Edit, Copy/Paste functions, that could use update. The related issue is, when a specific range of rows and columns are selected, you cannot move/insert (ALT) while offset by a column. You can only move/insert (ALT) such that you stay completely in the same columns, or move completely out of the selected range of columns. I'll enter a new bug report for this. I'll enter a new bug report for the Copy/Paste function as it existed in the earlier builds too. Nice that the original issues were already worked on! I'll search for reports of the other issues before posting. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Click and drag these cells up to a new location while holding the ALT key. Shift one cell to the left or right and the pointer shifts to a not allowed icon. Shift two cells to the left or right (completely outside of the originally selected columns) and the move/insert is allowed. Stay within the originally selected columns and the move/insert is allowed. Note that this does not happen if dragging BELOW the original location, only above. There is a similar problem with ROWS when moving to the left of the selected cells but not to the right. As long as a dev or QA person did not change the status it is likely that it is not yet fixed. It is annoying and not helpful for developers to search through several unhelpful comments to find the important information. And if you think we are fixing this not fast enough then please start yourself. I can give some code pointers or you can help with one of the other 650 open calc bugs. And no this bug is not a candidate for critical. This is a pure UI problem and maybe there is even a reason for this behavior. One would need to check in the code why this is happening and why changing the zoom facot changes the UI behavior. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48168] New: Menus positioned incorrectly on multi-monitor displays
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48168 Bug #: 48168 Summary: Menus positioned incorrectly on multi-monitor displays Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.1 Release Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: peter.bay...@openearth.com.au Created attachment 59359 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=59359 Screenshots showing Writer running on each of three monitors I run three monitors arranged horizontally. When I run Writer on the Left-hand monitor the various menus act properly. When I move the Writer main window to the Center Monitor, the menus appear on the Right-hand monitor and even sub-menus are on the hard left edge of the monitor so they are placed over each other. When I place the Writer main window on the Right-hand monitor, the menus appear on the left-hand edge of the right monitor and are also placed over each other. I would think the problem lies in an assumption, somewhere in the code, that there are, at most, two monitors side by side and menu position calculations are being made accordingly. Below are screenshots of the Writer window on the three monitors. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 38838] [EasyHack] Removal/Replacement of the String/UniString/ByteString with OUString/OString once and for all.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38838 --- Comment #6 from David Tardon dtar...@redhat.com 2012-04-01 22:09:21 PDT --- (In reply to comment #5) I'd like to work on this. Can it be assigned to me please? I do not think this is a one-man task... Just pick a module (or just a bunch of files) that still use String and try to replace it by rtl::OUString + rtl::OUStringBuffer. Beware of rippling effects, .e.g., if you replace String by rtl::OUString in a virtual function declaration, you will have to change all the derived classes as well, otherwise overriding will be broken. Also, where can I see the versions that have already been fixed (ByteString), so that I have an example to guide me? See https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/String_Classes for (rough) comparison of functions of both classes. The most important difference is that String is mutable while rtl::OUString is not. For constructing a string piece by piece, use rtl::OUStringBuffer and then call makeStringAndClear() to get rtl::OUString. There are also additional string functions in comphelper/inc/comphelper/string.hxx . -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45848] PDF: Text in a pdf is imported twice
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45848 Rainer Bielefeld libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|normal |major CC||LibreOffice@bielefeldundbus ||s.de --- Comment #6 from Rainer Bielefeld libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de 2012-04-01 22:53:40 PDT --- All Markus' and Korrawit's observations reproducible. I heavily suffer from that bug. This does not happen with all PDFs for me, generally all normal Text documents will be imported without problem, but PDF exports from CAD programs are totally crippled by this problem after PDF import, completely unusable. Older Master versions like Server installation of Master LibO-dev 3.5.0 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) English UI [(Build ID: 5d1a991-4cb1bac-ca7e6f5-9125509-ce71330)] (2011-11-09) suffering from Bug 44710 - FILEOPEN PDF: Rotated texts at wrong position and scrambled (LibO 3.3.0?) also showed that duplicated characters, see Bug 44710#c3. The question is what strings exactly are affected. A common mark of texts in those CAD drawings is that character widths and similar are not normal. But I can't reproduce that problem with an own sample (Type an O into a textbox in a sample.odg, export to sample.pdf, open sample.pdf with DRAW works fine). @Markus Ilmola: What's the special thing with your character in your sample that causes the problem? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
