However, if one copies some text and pastes it within any of the itemize lines, the indention is lost as is the itemize bullet. (The text can be from a from a pure text editor, it can be inserted or replace text, it does not not matter.) The itemize bullet is also not recoverable via ctrl-z (undo) within the box. Though, if one leaves the box, using ctrl-z returns to the initial state. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

However, I have not seen this problem with my default (German) installation of LibreOffice 3.5.3, and I can NOT REPRODUCE it on my machine (using MacOS X 10.6.8 like you). To test, I did a fresh install of LibreOffice 3.5.3.2, installed the Spanish langpack, set both the System UI language and the LibreOffice UI language to Spanish/Spain, but the About box says correctly LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 Build ID: 235ab8a-3802056-4a8fed3-2d66ea8-e241b80 and when I select Get Info in the Finder for the LibreOffice application, the Information window also says 3.5.3. However, the different Build ID quoted by you shows that not only the version number is wrong, but that you really have another build. You are right, there must be a problem somewhere, of course ... Therefore, I wanted to ask you to do another, clean install of 3.5.3, after manually deleting (!) the old version of the LibreOffice application before (to avoid any confusion and installation mistakes), but LibreOffice 3.5.4 is coming soon, and so I don't want to waste your time. Could you, please, when LibreOffice 3.5.4 is out, try the following: 1) Go to the Applications folder of your Mac, search LibreOffice and delete the complete LibreOffice application (just to ensure that there is no confusion of application files etc.). 2) Download LibreOffice 3.4.5 from http://www.libreoffice.org/, together with the language pack (Translated User Interface) of your choice 3) Install LibreOffice 3.4.5 and then the language pack 4) Check again the LibreOffice Version both in the About LibreOffice window and with the Finder's Get Info feature 5) Report here again if the version is correct this time (i.e., 3.5.4.x) or wrong again?! This would be very helpful, and you may want to download 3.5.4 anyway, as it contains many useful fixes ;-) Thank you very much! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This is a serious issue, of course, and I am sorry for all the inconveniences it causes to you. However, I need to ask you some questions in order to avoid misunderstandings: 1) Which version of LibreOffice do you use (e.g., 3.4.6, 3.5.3, or ...)? 2) Do you have any kind of Universal access utilities enabled (in System Preferences Universal Access), e.g. Voice over or Enable access for assistive devices? (There are known problems with such utilities enabled.) 3) Does this always happen with the same (or some) documents you try to edit, or does it happen with any document you try to edit? 4) IF it happens only with one or some special document(s), could you please attach such a document to this error report, using the Add an attachment link above? This would be very very helpful! 5) When you need to force quit LibreOffice after the Not responding message, MacOS X may prompt you with an error report (or crash log or however it is called in Lion) it wants to send to Apple. You may need to check Show details or the like in order to see the acutal error report data; it looks like a long text file containing all kind of strange stuff ;-) Could you please, if this occurs to you, click into this error report text, select all the text (Cmd-A should work), copy it (Cmd-C) and then use any text editor (like Apples TextEdit application) to insert the text and to save it as a plain text file? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46254 --- Comment #6 from Paul Renault prena...@nb.sympatico.ca 2012-05-23 04:29:17 PDT --- It looks like the bug is caused by Windows. I had had another odd problem: some updates/patches for the .Net Framework 2.0 weren't 'sticking'. Just minutes after installing three patches, the Windows Update Manager would prompt me to install them again and again. Researching this on Microsoft's forums, the consensus of fixes were to delete all the deletable files in the %TEMP% folder - this behaviour was caused by incorrectly-created temporary files. (Yeah, I know..WTF?) This took care of the issue with Update Manager. This worked for LibreOffice yesterday just after I deleted the cruft...but (I've just tried it now) the 'drop the last part of the filename' behaviour is still/again occuring on this machine. I will reinstall version 3.4.4 as this version has never shown the bug, and check the contents of the %TEMP% folder as I copy'n'paste. I'll also do some more digging around Microsoft's forum to get a more complete description of the problem with the %TEMP% folder. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Reasoning: 1) My $HOME is mounted from the same server. Loading and saving from there works like a charm. Mount-entry for this: server:/export/home on /home type nfs (rw,nosuid,soft,nolock,addr=192.168.1.1) 2) Loading/saving from my home-dir mounted to a different mount-point does *not work*. Mount-entry for this: server:/export on /mnt/server type nfs (rw,nosuid,soft,addr=192.168.1.1) == The failing share is mounted with lock (as no nolock is given). https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46959 --- Comment #2 from Jeff Evans jevans4...@aol.com 2012-05-23 05:10:08 PDT --- (In reply to comment #1) what evidently happens here is that the grid line is drawn over the border line. this is not new and happens in OOo 3.4beta and OOo 3.0.1 as well. though it has become a little more damaging in that in OOo 3.4beta PDF the non-overpainted part of a 0.3pt red border is still visible while on LO 3.5.4 PDF it is almost completely covered by the grid line. @Michael Stahl: are you saying this is not a bug /should not be fixed? Looking closely at some old printouts, I see that what you say is true. The problem became apparent with the degradation of borders in .xls format - see my bug 46960 and related. I also had to back out 3.5.3 due to bug 49582, which doesn't help the situation. I believe the ideal would be to suppress the grid line where a (non-blank) border was specified for the cell or the relevant adjacent cell. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50278 Bug #: 50278 Summary: Provide separate dock icons for each component on Mac OS X instead of or in addition to the global launcher Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO Master Platform: All OS/Version: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: UI AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: thumperw...@hotmail.com LibreOffice counterpart to https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=87090 Presently, LibreOffice for Mac OS X installs the entire suite into one .app bundle. There are no separate launchers for the individual components, so users cannot have e.g. an icon for Writer in the dock. The AOO ticket has an attached solution in the form of dummy .apps for each component which only contain a bit of AppleScript. Whether the license is suitable or not (the attachment dates back to 2008, as the bug was originally filed against OO.o) it should be easy enough to reconstruct from first principles. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50279 Bug #: 50279 Summary: install-instructions for Linux outdated and misleading Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.3 release Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: medium Component: Documentation AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: e...@riseup.net The install-instructions for Linux-users on the website are outdated and misleading. They still regard version 3.3 and not 3.5. For inexperienced users it causes installation failures because the version-numbers in the command-instructions doesn't fit the new 3.5 version. Additionally for Fedora/Redhat: the rmp-file (at least LibO_3.5.3_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz) doesn't contain a desktop-integration package for RedHat as stated in the install-instructions. On Fedora 16 this makes the program invisible to the normal user. It works with the freedesktop desktop-integration package (libreoffice3.5-freedesktop-menus-3.5.3-2.noarch.rpm), but for inexperienced users the whole process is pretty misleading and will probably cause installation failure. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47011] Add an auto save option (not auto recovery)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47011 --- Comment #2 from Jan Holesovsky ke...@suse.cz 2012-05-23 06:38:08 PDT --- The implementation of the AutoRecovery is in: framework/source/services/autorecovery.cxx Particularly see implts_saveDocs() and implts_saveOneDoc() that implement the saving itself. The UI of AutoRecovery is here: cui/source/options/optsave.cxx Ideally the AutoSave should use the above mentioned code; when turned on (that means, new checkbox to enable AutoSave should be introduted), we would first copy the current document to the AutoRecovery area, and then write directly over the document being edited, instead of writing to the AutoRecovery area as it is now. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
