Steps to reproduce: 1. Create new presentation 2. Add a table with 20 rows and 20 columns 3. Try moving or resizing it Current behavior: With a modern fast worstation pc, it takes 10seconds just to do basic operations like move or resize. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50763] New: HTML Import doesnt parse inline base64 images correctly
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50763 Bug #: 50763 Summary: HTML Import doesnt parse inline base64 images correctly Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: bjoern.michael...@canonical.com Inlined HTML images: img src=data:image/jpeg;base64,fdsiid... .../ are imported as text. This is an enhancement request to parse such data correctly. Since the base64-data contains no whitespace, Writer has a hard time figuring out how to break lines, freezing it even on small amounts of such data. So this is more important than a random feature request as it might be responsible/root cause for a lot of copy-paste from web, then freeze bugs. If a full implementation of base64 parsing is out of scope, a workaround should be implemented to at least just skip such data, to prevent the Writer layout going havoc. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50137] After created user profile, LibO close
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50137 --- Comment #7 from Andras Timar tima...@gmail.com 2012-06-06 02:37:46 PDT --- (In reply to comment #4) It is normal that soffice.bin exits early (with a special exit code of 81) whenever it detects that the bundled and/or shared extensions are not in sync with the corresponding user profile data (which is esp. the case when a new user profile directory is created). However, the outer soffice.exe should restart soffice.bin when it exits with the special code of 81. Would be strange if that mechanism stopped working. I think that this is the case (started from LibreOffice 3.4). The fix of bug #43989 only prevents this happening, so we need to investigate a little bit, why this mechanism stopped working. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Use a remote cups server to print, no a local one. 2. Set /etc/cups/client.conf to use it remote cups server 3. Open writer or calc. 4. Open a document. 5. Go to File - Print, and you'll see the printers. 6. Keep open libreoffice for 20 minutes. 7. Go to File - Print, and all printers disappears. 8. Close libreoffice. 9. Start libreoffice again, and go to File - Print, and you'll see the printers ok. Current behavior: The printers disappears when you keep open libreoffice for 20 min. If you close a re-open it, the printers appears again. I think the problem is related with the fact of libreoffice open a connection with the cups server when it's starts, and its connections is closed a minutes later (i don't know why). Its seem like a libreoffice don't detect this connection lost. May be libreoffice should open the conection with the cups server when the user open the print dialog, and not when its start. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50343 --- Comment #1 from Sven Eden yamakuz...@gmx.net 2012-06-06 05:45:02 PDT --- I can confirm that for all .xlsx on versions 3.5.2.2 and 3.5.4.2. Platform: Gentoo Linux x64 LibreOffice: 3.5.4.2 built from source When opening an .xlsx a popup appears: The file '*filename*' is corrupt and therefore cannot be opened. LibreOffice can try to repair the file. The corruption could be the result of document manipulation or of structural document damage due to data transmission. We recommend that you do not trust the content of the repaired documents. Execution of macros is disabled for this document. Should LibreOffice repair the file? *Yes* / *No* When I select Yes (No just stops the attempt) the following popup appears: General Error. General input/output error. Unfortunately there is absolutely no informational/debugging output on the console, and I can't find a way to enable any. If you can make available that debug output, that should help us track down this problem. Any instructions how to setup console debug output on Windows? When running this build I do not see anything like that. I used --enable-debug to build it. The output does not go to stdout/stderr (aka console), but is instead handed to Windows' OutputDebugString function. At least when attached to the soffice.bin process via a debugger, this output should be made available via that debugger. (For example, I tested this with the freely available depends.exe, http://www.dependencywalker.com/, loading soffice.exe into it and then Profile - Start Profiling..., taking care that Log debug output messages. and Automatically open and profile child processes. are both checked, should start soffice.exe, which in turn starts soffice.bin, for which depends.exe then automatically opens a new sub-window, where the relevant debug output should appear in the bottom pane, along with other logging messages. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50786] New: EDITING: sort or natural sort of text should ignore spaces
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50786 Bug #: 50786 Summary: EDITING: sort or natural sort of text should ignore spaces Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.3 release Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: bert.vanvrec...@gmail.com The sort algorithm (apparently) sorts on ascii values of the characters in text strings. Consequently, a space character is also considered to be a letter. However, a space should not have an influence on the sorting order and should be ignored. If it is not possible to implement this in the standard sort function (as it would change the behaviour of a feature that is used quite a lot), then I hope it can at least be implemented in natural sort. An example: Flemish surnames often start with De or Van de and these names can be written either with or without spaces. LibreOffice Spreadsheet sorts these names incorrectly: DESIRED RESULT: 1stnameSurname BartDebacker PeterDe Decker MarkDemol RudyDe Wilde WimDewilde ACTUAL RESULT: 1stnameSurname PeterDe Decker RudyDe Wilde BartDebacker MarkDemol WimDewilde WORKAROUND: As a workaround, you add a column calculated from the the one to be sorted with spaces removed (e.g. =SUBSTITUTE(B2, ,) ). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50783] Can't create database or access table in Base
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50783 --- Comment #4 from Petr Mladek pmla...@suse.cz 2012-06-06 07:10:23 PDT --- One change is that org/hsqldb/lib/FileSystemRuntimeException.class is missing in the broken sdbc_hsqldb.jar. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48056] FILEOPEN Report with charts fails with Message Failed to parse the report
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48056 --- Comment #10 from Kohei Yoshida kohei.yosh...@gmail.com 2012-06-06 07:12:01 PDT --- (In reply to comment #9) (In reply to comment #2) I wouldn't be surprised if Kohei's work on Calc Charts during 3.4 development has caused this. I know that he touched on the problem there and the distinction between Calc chart instantiation and Base chart instantiation. There should be something on this in the developers mailing list archive. I will have a look. Kohei? Does this ring a bell? If this is true, you'll most probably be much faster than me in tracking this down. Don't hesitate to ask me if you need collaboration on this. That report builder is riddled with problems. There was a problem getting the right filter picked because the report builder pretends to have a valid import filter when in fact it's not. All I did was to make the core chart import filter the preferred filter in order to get that picked. Other than that I have no idea. I'll be away for 3 weeks, so I won't be able to look into this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
