[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51022] New: Print range lost on file save/reopen if the file contains external link
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51022 Bug #: 51022 Summary: Print range lost on file save/reopen if the file contains external link Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: Windows (All) Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: sc...@ashisuto.co.jp Reproduced with LibreOffice 3.4.5, 3.5.4 on XP and Win 7. It worked fine with OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 and 3.3.0. If a Calc file contains an external link, print range at last sheet is lost when saved and reopened. And as I stated, whether the file has 2 sheets, 3 sheets or 10 sheets, only the last sheet of the document is affected by this bug. It can be reproduced with a new document, and reproducible everytime. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create 2 new Calc files. (A.ods, B.ods) 2. Open A.ods and enter a data into A1 of Sheet1 and save. 3. Open B.ods and insert an external link at A1 of Sheet 1 to refer the data entered to A.ods at step 2. 4. Enter data to the remaining sheets of B.ods so all sheets have print range each. 5. Save B.ods, close and reopen. 6. Print range at last sheet is lost. If I open the file saved at the above step 5 with OO 3.2.1 and 3.3.0, the print range is ok. And if I save the file at the above step 6, then open it with OO, the print range isn't loaded. Therefore LO CAN save the print range, however, CAN NOT load it when reopened. (Overwrite the file at this point will permanently loses it.) Also, if I set the print range again with LO, it is lost again when reopened. But then it starts working fine if the link is removed. Here are the work-arounds I have found so far, but I don't think these are all that practical. -Insert a blank sheet at the end of the document. (Hide the blank sheet if needed.) -If a file has a sheet that does not need to be printed, move this sheet to the end of the document. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51022] Print range lost on file save/reopen if the file contains external link
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51022 --- Comment #1 from HD sc...@ashisuto.co.jp 2012-06-13 00:03:37 PDT --- Another case to point out. Use Excel to create an xls file with the same steps as comment 1. But this time, insert the link to Sheet 2.(Make sure Sheet1 has just some plain texts w/o any links) And save it while all sheets are set to normal view, open with LO and save as ods. Reopen the ods and LO does not lose the print range. If the xls is saved by using Excel while any of the sheets are in page preview mode, then the bug is reproduced. Also, if the link is set to the first sheet of the xls, the bug is reproduced regardless the view mode. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Trying to drag and drop a slide always results in the moved slide being the first slide of the presentation. This is happening in Slide sorter view as well as in the slide panel in normal view / slide editing. Workaround: One has to use cut and paste to change ordering of Slides. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a new presentation 2. Create a few slides 3. Go to slide sorter / view 4. Try to move a slide to a different position using mouse drag and drop. Current behavior: Always results in the moved slide being slide inserted at the beginning of the presentation. Expected behavior: Place the slide, where I dropped it. Whenever she would cut and paste, she would be prompted to install Java, for some reason I don't quite understand. In any case, unchecking Use a java runtime environment from options seems to have fixed the issue. I understand there are some parts of LibreOffice which use Java. I guess it's ok to prompt if they're being activated. I don't think that's the case here though. The behaviour I would expect is that a user who is just using the basics of writer should never be asked to install software which is not necessary to the task at hand (cutting and pasting). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51044] New: FILESAVE '.eps' graphic in '.doc' table is compressed to 0.41 mm tall when 'save' or 'save as'
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51044 Bug #: 51044 Summary: FILESAVE '.eps' graphic in '.doc' table is compressed to 0.41 mm tall when 'save' or 'save as' Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5 Daily Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: cl...@rsjc.net Created attachment 62976 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=62976 What it should look like Look first at the 'Image_shows.pdf' to see what the uncorrupted i,age looks like, then at 'Image collapsed.pdf' to see what happens when the uncorrupted '.doc' file is saved then opened. The file to test is 'Image_containing.doc' These all contain a summary of the problem, now repeated here. Ubuntu 10.04, LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 AMD 64 version Build ID: 165a79a-7059095-e13bb37-fef39a4-9503d18 The Figure in the example is a 2-row, 1-column table. The graphic image (a ‘.eps’ file) is inserted in the upper row. The lower row contains the caption text. When saved (‘Save’ or ‘Save as’) and opened the image is collapsed down to a height of 0.41 mm. That is probably how you will see (actually fail to see) it in the '.doc' file. With care you can select it in the ‘.doc’ file: put the (arrow) cursor at the very top of the table to show ‘Adjust table row’ and left click. Move cursor up a bit to get the ‘hand’ cursor and then right click. Click on ‘Picture’ in the menu. Set ‘Original size’ which gives ‘Width’ as 170 mm, and then set ‘Height’ to 100 mm, and ‘OK’, so the image reappears. The ‘Height’ will be corrupted (probably to 41 mm: 100 times the previous setting?). Repeat the ‘Height’-setting, next corrupted to 77 mm. Repeat again and this time get what it should be (100 mm). With MS Word 2000 in WinXP the ‘.doc’ file displays and saves correctly, AND SO IT DOES TOO IN LIBREOFFICE FOR a ‘.tif’ graphic in the top row of the table. That seems significant but I know too little to be able to suggest where th eproblem might be. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Sorry, I mis-characterized the combo-box. Just to be clear - if you select a number from the drop down list under the title tier that number will appear in the field above. But if you then select another from the list it will not replace the first number but will be written on top of the first number. I will send you two screenshots of the result after selecting several numbers from the list. Notice screenshot2 which is a ZOOMED version of the first. It appears that there are several overlapping boxes! Maybe this has something to do with my problem! But from your results, it seems my problem MUST be with LO version 3.4.4 when used on a Mac OSX 10.5.8. If you ever have a chance to test my version of LO with a Mac using the database I sent you, I bet the problem will show up! Also, to be honest, I have no idea why the .odb file is so large. I can use separate data series for the two but then the legend doesn't show the series as one but as two entries. In excel its possible to individually format each slot individually. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51051] New: SLIDESHOW: Using a custom animation with hardware acceleration enabled led to fuzzy fonts under Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity) and Mint 13 (Cinammon).
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51051 Bug #: 51051 Summary: SLIDESHOW: Using a custom animation with hardware acceleration enabled led to fuzzy fonts under Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity) and Mint 13 (Cinammon). Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.5.3 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Presentation AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: lionel.tresaug...@gmail.com Created attachment 62988 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=62988 This is a composite picture obtained from two screenshots of the same slideshow. The uppert part corresponds to the version with hardware acceleration disabled, the lower part with hardware acceleration enabled. Problem description: Hello, When I use a custom animation in a slideshow (like using a zoom effect to bring a picture in forefront), as soon as the animation starts and even after it has finished, the fonts used in the slide become slightly fuzzy. This only appears when I enable the hardware acceleration in the LibreOffice options. I have noticed this behaviour both under Ubuntu 12.04 using the Unity desktop environment and under Mint13 using the Cinnamon environment. Thus, we can not attribute this bug to either Compiz or Clutter. My graphic card is a Nvidia GeForce 9600M GS and I use the proprietary drivers (currently the version 295.53). My version of LibreOffice is currently 3.5.3.2 Build ID: 350m1(Build:2). Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable hardware acceleration under Tools/Options/View 2. Create a slideshow 3. Add some text and one picture in one slide. Link the picture to a custom animation such as Entrance/Zoom/Fast speed/Start on click. 4. Play the slideshow fullscreen Current behavior: The fonts used for the text part of the slide become fuzzy. Expected behavior: The fonts should remain sharp. Platform (if different from the browser): Linux x86_64 Ubuntu/12.04 and Mint 13 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
