In such case, I have to click anywhere in the link and then click on the Hyperlink button. A Hyperlink window pops up, and shows the existing text and hyperlink. This is fine. But if I select the entire text in the document and then click on the Hyperlink button, the window does not behave properly: The Target field in this window is filled with the existing target. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48644] TDF Site: There is No Longer a Link to 3.4.x version download In Conflict with Published Policy
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48644 Vaughn Reid III vaughn_reid_...@elitemail.org changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|WORKSFORME | --- Comment #4 from Vaughn Reid III vaughn_reid_...@elitemail.org 2012-06-27 04:17:45 PDT --- If removing download links to 3.4.x is the desired behavior, then I see a policy mis-match. It is my understanding from reading release policy notes that there should be 2 release versions available for easy download. See: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/release-policy/ I also remember reading in a couple locations on the web site -- although I couldn't find those locations this morning -- that the idea behind having 2 current releases was to provide a more conservative and stable release for slower moving business usage environments and to have a less stable bleeding edge version for enthusiasts, early adopters, etc. This multi-tiered release cycle is mentioned here: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Release_Criteria. Since the stated release policy and state release criteria mention providing multiple versions available for download, it seems reasonable that the two primary release versions should be available for download from the Download page. A person who wants to use the older release -- which, by policy, should be the more stable release -- should not have to go digging around the web site to look for it. In addition, since both 3.4 and 3.5 are mentioned prominently on the web site with both a 3.4 Features page and a 3.5 Features page, it seems that common sense would dictate that both versions would be easily download-able from links on the download page. Once a stable 3.6.x release is available will easy to get to links to 3.5.x go away? If the answer is yes, then the release policy and release criteria should be changed to reflect that reality and the layout of the web site should change to remove references to the previous version. If, however, Libre Office wants to follow its own release policy and release criteria, it should make it easy to download both currently supported versions from the download page. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Save in any location using Save As dialog. This is Location1 3. Close document or close the entire application 4. Open any text document in a location different to Location1. 5. Try to open Save As dialog. Check the offered path. This will be Location1 or 5. Invoke Export PDF tool. The offered path will be Location1. Current behavior: Yesterday I edited a document, saved it, and today I opened a completly different document from a completly different path, maybe, this time from a removable drive - and WTF! Export PDF dialog offers me yesterday's path, from where I must made a thousand clicks to get near the original. Expected behavior: The normal behavior is first to offer the path, where the original document was opened, or system My Documents path for newly created documents. And make it easily accessible by for example a 'record changes' button on the the 'standard' toolbar. The 'changes' functions are frequently used in office work / collaboration. For an efficient workflow they should be easily accessible. Now the are (default) only accessible form the (edit) menu in OpenOffice 3.5. At the moment there is a dialog window for the same function. That is akward. Dialog boxes are many times in front of the text you would like to look at. Other solutions are fine. JRE 1.7u4 and JRE 1.7u5 32-bit frameworks both correctly function under 32-bit and 64-bit Windows with LibreOffice 3.5.4 features that require a Java runtime, notably this reports File -- Send actions; and with the Tools -- Accessibility -- Support assistive technology tools (using Java Access Bridge 2.0.2). However, multiple users have reported issues with LibreOffice function following JRE upgrade--Bug 50371. These issues are not repaired by JRE and LibreOffice reinstall. Suspect JRE misconfiguration following upgrade on Windows systems. LibreOffice JRE configuration on Windows is in the javasettings_Windows_x86.xml file from the C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\3\user\config directory of each users profile. Suggest review of this XML file for residual JRE settings from prior versions. Removal and auto-rebuild has helped some users. Unfortunately, for some even complete removal of LibreOffice user profile has restored JRE function--suggesting JRE misconfiguration is at the system level. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47263] [BASIC] nested UNO structs confusing
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47263 --- Comment #4 from Noel Power nopo...@novell.com 2012-06-27 07:48:42 UTC --- (In reply to comment #3) Hate to say it though, in my exprerience issues like this usually have a reason, that reason usually being the basic compiler/runtime is sooo crap that trying to make it do something sensible can be incredibly hard. well at least now I see exactly why this is happening, all uno objects are introspected, all properties of an uno interface object ( or members of of an uno struct ) are retrieved via uno via a XPropertySet interface. So.. that explains why attempts to modify the nested structure fail ( ok we knew it was returning a copy but good to know exactly where ( and in master that is basic/source/classes/sbunoobj.cxx:2129 ) All operations on uno objects are generically treated this way so changing this would require some work. Would be cool though if this could work in a sensible way I haven't been convinced that this is an impossible task yet, still investigating, possibly we could intercept attempts to access nested struct members and wrap them with a new internal object that might use reflection instead to set the values ( never used uno reflection but a quick look at the api and it looks promising ) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 41191] HOME/END keys ignore cursor control option in RTL docs
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41191 --- Comment #4 from Ted Hopp ted.h...@gmail.com 2012-06-27 08:34:08 UTC --- Created attachment 63524 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=63524 Additional details Here are detailed steps that generated the attached images: 1. Start a new document. 2. Ensure that cursor control is set to logical (Tools Options; navigate to Language Settings Complex Text Layout) and not visual. 3. Set the paragraph (Format Paragraph Alignment; set Text direction to Right-to-left. 4. Type a L, R, L sequence (L = left-to-right character; R = right-to-left character). The cursor will be at the trailing end of the second left-to-right character (as shown in the top of the image). 5. Press the END key on the keyboard. The cursor moves to the visual end (left edge) of the line (as shown in the bottom of the image). I realize that the end of the line is visually ambiguous when the base flow and the (logically) last character have opposite directionality. In a sense, the cursor positions at the end of steps 4 and 5, while different, are both correct. The best way to deal with this would situation be to show both a primary and a secondary cursor in these situations, but LibreOffice does not do that. I would expect that the cursor cursor movement option setting would control how the ambiguity is resolved. That is, I would expect that logical movement would have the END key put the cursor at the trailing end of the logically last character on the line (i.e., as it appears at the end of step 4). Similarly, if the cursor movement was set to visual, the END key would put the cursor at the visual end of the line. Instead, it the cursor movement setting has no effect on the behavior and the cursor always goes to the visual end of the line. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Steps to reproduce: 1. Input one timestamp (beginning of time period) 2. Input one timestamp (end of time period) 3. Calculate duration (2. minus 1.) 4. Format duration with square brackets to avoid reconduction within 24 hours range Current behavior: duration will be calculated and displayed within 24 hours range Expected behavior: duration will be calculated and displayed with number of hours, even if beyond 24 hours range Platform (if different from the browser): Fedora 17 x86_64, reproduced also on Windows Xp and Vista Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Basically, if you know the available memory on the host which will install the lzma package you can tweak the highest compression ratio that this host will be able to process. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Btw, your formula expression =TIME(TRUNC((B$1*$B$4)/60,0),MOD(B$1*$B$4,60),0) is overkill, date and time are expressed in days with 0.5==12h, so for your calculation in minutes this =B1*B4/60/24 respectively =B1*B4/1440 gives the same result. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51485] New: Add an option for ENTER to be New Line in Cell
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51485 Bug #: 51485 Summary: Add an option for ENTER to be New Line in Cell Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.5.2 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: ful...@gmail.com I would love if there was an option that would allow while typing in a Cell that pressing ENTER on the keyboard would enter a return character, or a new line, however you want to look at it. For almost 6 years I've been regularly working with spreadsheets that need new lines in the cell. Even after 6 years CTRL+ALT+ENTER or ALT+ENTER does not seem to be natural to me. I keep just hitting ENTER and I'm sure I'm not alone. My mind never thinks that ENTER should move to the next cell. Moreover, sometimes that other office suite decided to just stop allowing ALT+ENTER to work, one of the reasons I got my company to switch to OOo, and since Libre. I think this enhancement is one more small thing that could help us in the Office Battle. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51297] Unfilled arrow styles are not saved properly
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51297 Regina Henschel rb.hensc...@t-online.de changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #1 from Regina Henschel rb.hensc...@t-online.de 2012-06-27 15:45:45 PDT --- The root cause of this problem is described in issue 47406. You can find discussions about that problem in the developer mailing list too. I have adapted the arrow heads to the new, corrected way the z attribute is interpreted. But it is possible, that you still have the old file in your user profile. Please rename your LO user profile folder temporarily and start LO newly and test the behavior in this new environment. If save and reload is okay there, then rename the file 'standard.soe' in your original user folder and copy the corresponding file from the newly created user folder to your original one. On Windows the file is located in \LibreOffice\3\user\config; I guess it is in a similar path in Ubuntu. After that action change back the name of your original LibreOffice user folder. Another way to get the correct file is to download it from the source repository http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/raw/core/extras/source/palettes/standard.soe Notice, that you cannot use documents using this unfilled line ends in old and new versions of LibreOffice, in turns. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
