Yes, 75% is intended for this superscript letters, but it is not relevant to
the bug. (By the way, default single line spacing of LibreOffice is 115% of
the letter size, so 87% proportial value is the real single line spacing.)

 Bug #: 51748
Summary: EDITING: Data entered in one table occurs in another
table as well
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.5.4 release
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: sev...@gmail.com

Created attachment 63857
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=63857
Screenshots of the two tables where a formula entered in table Kalmar appears
in table Växjö

Problem description:
My daughter uses LibreOffice on my recommendation in her business. Last week
she suddenly realized that a spreadsheet she uses daily was behaving strangely.
E.g. when clicking on one cell containing 46.3 the Sum= at the bottom displayed
112 (or at least not 46.3). Some empty cells displayed non-zero sums. Data
entered in one table appeared also in another table. Unfortunately she tried to
correct some errors but things got only worse. A couple of cells (I think four)
have references between the tables, something like 25.1-Table1:e44.

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
I have no clue right now. I will check if I may give you a copy of the failing
file.

Current behavior:

Expected behavior:

Platform (if different from the browser):
She is using Windows 7 and I have the same behavior with XP and Vista.

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1

sasha.libreoff...@gmail.com, that isn't a solution to the problem generally as
it prevents LibreOffice from (correctly) adding automatic file name extensions
for other file types. .tsv needs to be recognized by LibreOffice as a valid
extension for the so-called Text CSV format (which is a poor choice of name
in any case).

Numbers in cells A3, A5, A9, B9, C5, D3, D9 loose their decimal separators -
they are in .xxx format in the csv file.
Workaround - edit csv file by adding ending 0 to decimal numbers to have all

Cell N58 selected. Sum=87.3 at bottom (double value).

The error in Sum= occurs in the original file of type .xls, Microsoft Office
2003. When I saved the file as .ods this problem disappeared!

Unfortunately it is not OK to submit the whole file and when I try to remove
some data the same cells in the other table are also deleted which makes it
impossible to show the error in a small, insensitive file. I will continue to
try and keep just some errors.

If this is the same as bug #51731 you should only get this problem with cells
which are 2 columns from the one from which Window-Freeze was started.
Can you confirm this ? (ie: 3rd column off the freeze it is fine)

Also bug #51731 lists another workaround: clicking in the formula input widget
before selecting the target cell (to reset proper focus)

The spreadsheet has been developed using Open Office 3.3 with Swedish language

It has always been saved in .xls format since it must be readable by some

Printed page format changes for same file between Windows (XP Professional) and
Linux (Ubuntu 12.04) versions.
When file is opened in both operating systems the file shows the same settings
but the Linux page is smaller so it does not print with correct line spacing on
pre-printed documents.

Thank you very much for your bug report!

To make it possible to reproduce and track down the problem, could please you
attach the spreadsheet in question (the Excel file) to this bug report? Just
click on Add an attachment on this bug report page. This would be very
helpful. Thank you in advance!

Also, please report which version of LibreOffice you are using.

I added a new document. It has the same problem. I can reproduce the problem
with LibreOffice 3.5.4 on Windows 7 64 Bit. It just seems that no line spacing
at all is imported from pptx. My first thought was that it's due to unit
conversion since in Word the spacing is called multiple and takes values from
0.x to 3.0 or something, whereas in Impress the equivalent is called
proportional and takes percentage values.
Then upon closer inspection I saw that Impress shows the correct line spacing
in the format paragraph dialog FOR THE TEXT PLACEHOLDER. Unfortunately it does
not affect the text inside the placeholder. There the linespacing is single.
In PowerPoint I see no difference between the placeholder settings and those of
the text inside the placeholder. Maybe Impress is just missing inheritage of
paragraph formatting.

Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. create a spreadsheet with a couple of cells
2. make a chart (I use a line chart)
3. make the LibreOffice window smaller than your screen real estate (or
maximize it on the left display if you have 2.)
4. start resizing the chart, dragging the mouse significantly out of the
LibreOffice window.

Current behavior:
The chart becomes very big (intended behaviour) but when the mouse is released
the chart keeps growing and growing.

Expected behavior:
The chart becomes very big, but when the mouse is released the chart stops
getting bigger and bigger.

I primarily marked it as high because I thought quite a few people could
benefit from it (even if minor) and because I figured it was an easyhack. For
relatively easy things that can benefit a large group of people (even if it's
just a minor improvement), I feel like a high enhancement can be justified, but
feel free to lower the priority.

I don't think I'll be able to handle this one at the moment so if someone else
wants to assign themselves to it, I already am working on a few others that are
taking more time than anticipated.

Thanks for the comments

--- Comment #4 from Angelo Borsotti angelo.borso...@gmail.com 2012-07-05

The attached document shows the problem. I created a new blank document,
then clicked on Numbering in the Styles and Formatting window to create
the first item of the first list. Pressing Enter, I created the second
item. Then I created a paragraph bla bla bla with default formatting
and then again an ordered list with Numbering. Note that the first
item of the second list starts at 3.
But I want it instead to be numbered at 1. To do it, I must apply
a local change to paragraph formatting (Numbering, restart).
This, instead, should be embedded into the Numbering style, much the
same as what the ol html tag does.

Before, during and after shots showing formula in B2 as it gets changed

If you cut (Ctrl-X on Windows) a range of cells in a row that affect a formula
on the same row (but that formula cell is not included in the cut) and then
paste the cut contents into another row (accepting the existing data warning)
that contains a similar formula, the formula from the cut row is changed to
that of the paste row when it should remain untouched.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a new sheet
2. In A1, enter 35, and in A2 enter 77
3. In B1 enter =A1/7 and in B2 enter =A2/7
4. Click in A2, and Cut the contents (Ctrl-X on Windows). Formula in B2 remains
correct.
5. Click in A1, and Paste the cut contents (Ctrl-V in Windows). The formula in
B2 is now the same as the formula in B1.

Current behavior:
Formula of cell in row with data Cut is changed to formula of cell in row that
is target of Paste.

Expected behavior:
Formula should remain untouched; user did not change cell contents and paste
did not target that cell (thus, no reason to change).

Platform (if different from the browser):

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51758] New: FORMATTING: Underline Will Not Operate On Cells Currently Containing Mixed Underline (Inconsistent with Bold, Italic)

2012-07-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51758

 Bug #: 51758
Summary: FORMATTING: Underline Will Not Operate On Cells
Currently Containing Mixed Underline (Inconsistent
with Bold, Italic)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.4.3 release
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: jason.tea...@yahoo.co.uk

Problem description:
When multiple cells are selected and they have a mixture of underlined / not
underlined contents, the Underline toggle on the toolbar (and its keyboard
shortcut) will not change anything. This differs from Bold and Italic, which
will set all cells selected to either bold / italic or not bold / italic. In
other words, underline does not set all cells to one or the other state, unlike
bold and italic.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enter data in four cells, and make two of them bold, italic and underline
using the toggle buttons on the toolbar (or the shortcut keys).
2. Select all four cells, and toggle bold, then italic. Both will coerce all
four cells to the same - whether it decides to make them all bold / italic or
not bold or italic. At least all cells gain the same style.
3. Try the same with the underline toggle button. It has no effect until you
*only* select cells with the same existing underline style.

Current behavior:
Underline toggle will not do anything on selected cells with a mixture of
existing underline styles.

Expected behavior:
Like bold and italic, it should either set all selected cells to underline, or
set them all to not underline. Whatever criteria bold and italic use to decide
what to do, underline should use also.

Platform (if different from the browser):

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0;

This is standard spreadsheet behavior and not a bug, formulas referring a cell
that is moved with cutpaste or dragdrop are adapted to the new position. If
you don't want that copypaste and afterwards delete the original.
