[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52569] New: base64 included images makes openoffice freeze
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52569 Bug #: 52569 Summary: base64 included images makes openoffice freeze Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.5.4 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Drawing AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: r...@rom1v.com Created attachment 64763 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64763 Scroll in this document for making libreoffice freeze In the attachment, try to go to the last page or previous one : it is impossible, it freezes. If you press F5, you see the "navigator" (navigateur in french), the "image13" has an url starting by "data:image/jpeg;base64". I think this kind of image is not handled correctly by libreoffice. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52565] New: (regression) Conditional Format formula for wrong cell is displayed
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52565 Bug #: 52565 Summary: (regression) Conditional Format formula for wrong cell is displayed Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.6.0.2 rc Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: critical Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: james_av...@yahoo.com Created attachment 64757 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64757 Demo spreadsheet with conditional formatting The Conditional Formatting dialog sometimes shows information about the wrong cell (that is, some cell other than the current selection). Please open the attached CondFmt.ods spreadsheet, which was created with LibreOffice 3.4.4 Click any cell in column A, then Format->Conditional Formatting and display Condition #1. Every cell shows the Formula MOD(B1,2)=0 which is incorrect except for cell A1. In all the others, the formula is MOD(Bx,2)=0 [where x is the row number] That this is the case can be confirmed by observing that the 'Yellow' style is conditionally applied only when the number in column B is even. You can also open the spreadsheet using LO 3.4.4 and see the correct formulas. Marking this as critical because IMO this regression must be fixed before 3.6 is released, as it makes it impossible to rationally edit Conditional Formats. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52561] New: FILEOPEN: FILEOPEN on empty files results in a blank master document being written to the empty file.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52561 Bug #: 52561 Summary: FILEOPEN: FILEOPEN on empty files results in a blank master document being written to the empty file. Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.5.5.3 release Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Status Whiteboard: BSA Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: gmaty...@hotmail.com Created attachment 64753 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64753 This is the file after opening. Problem description: Much like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46699 (this may be a regression of that bug... opening an empty (0 byte) file causes a master file to be silently written to the file location as soon as "CSV Filter" is invoked. Some formats (like PDF) give an error dialog (General Error), then exit more properly. Touch (or Copy NUL: >filename.csv) to create an empty file Steps to reproduce: 1. Touch (or Copy NUL: >filename.csv) to create an empty file 2. Double-click to open the file in LibreOffice 3. Select CSV filter 4. File on disk will likely be an empty master document. Current behavior: Master Document is written to disk, even if the file is not saved. **While normally I'd say this is heinously dangerous, If this only happens with empty files, it's only confusing.** Expected behavior: LibreOffice should _warn_ if you're opening an empty file and _ask_ if you want to create a new file with that filename/path. The file length should probably be checked _before_ we get to that filter dialog. If the file does not exist, or does exist, but has no length (or maybe we don't have access to read the file!) this should probably be explained better. For example : "Je mange" => "Je ne mange pas". Steps to reproduce: 1. Write "Je suis pas idiot.", in French Writter. 2. Writer detect the fault, and underline "suis pas" with a blue wavy line : "ne" is missing. 3. With the secondary button mouse (generally the right), clic on "suis pas". 4. A menu appears and "suis pas" is selected. 5. In the menu, you can select the corrected text : "Je ne suis pas". Do it. 6. The text is now : "Je Je ne suis pas idiot." A menu appears and "Je suis pas" is selected. 5. In the menu, you can select the corrected text : "Je ne suis pas". Do it. 6. The text is now : "Je ne suis pas idiot." I agree with you that this is a critical issue. It is already known, therefore I mark this report as a duplicate of the main bug report for this issue -- bug 39007. In the report for bug 39007 you will find some suggestions how to solve the problem, at least for some time (see comments no. 2, 6, and 20 there). Basically, you need to delete the file "org.libreoffice.script.savedState" from the folder "~/Library/Saved Application State/" (~ is your user/home folder) and to reboot your Mac. This means that something with the existing User Profile went wrong, I mean, it did not work correctly anymore after the upgrade. Therefore a final question to you, Jan: Do you still have the old (renamed) User Profile folder (at: /Library/Application Support/, as I wrote in step 1 and 2 of comment #2)? It should be there parallel to the newly created "LibreOffice" folder which contains your new (and working) User Profile. Can you please * ZIP the complete old (renamed) User Profile folder (just select the complete folder and then choose "Compress ..." from the Finder's "File" menu) * and then attach the ZIP file to this bug report (just click on "Add an attachment" on this page)? It is possible that this ZIP archive will help our developers to find out what was going wrong with the user profile after the upgrade -- this may help them to prevent such annoying issues in future. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52547 --- Comment #1 from Dave Richards 2012-07-26 14:41:44 UTC --- Here is some more information: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/926093?page=3 Firefox 12 added new formats to the clipboard when you copy an image. Unfortunately, some applications were choosing a plain text URL rather than the bitmap (image data), so the change in Firefox 13 is to remove the plain text URL from the clipboard. However, both Firefox 12 and Firefox 13 include some HTML code on the clipboard, to embed the image. This is needed to be able to paste images into Gmail messages, which was the whole point of making the change in Firefox 12. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This worked perfectly in OpenOffice/LibreOffice. With Firefox 12 and higher, when you select "Copy Image" the URL and bitmap are both placed into the clipboard. In LibreOffice, when you select "Paste Special" the two types are displayed. However when you paste it uses the URL and embeds the image into the document. Regular users cannot immediately see the difference, however it's preferable to always use the bitmap when available and store the image inside the document. This builds a self contained document that can be viewed even when not connected to the Internet. We are requesting that the paste clipboard by default always use a bitmap if it's available.
