[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52569] New: base64 included images makes openoffice freeze

2012-07-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52569

 Bug #: 52569
Summary: base64 included images makes openoffice freeze
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.5.4 release
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Drawing
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: r...@rom1v.com

Created attachment 64763
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64763
Scroll in this document for making libreoffice freeze

In the attachment, try to go to the last page or previous one : it is
impossible, it freezes.

If you press F5, you see the "navigator" (navigateur in french), the "image13"
has an url starting by "data:image/jpeg;base64". I think this kind of image is
not handled correctly by libreoffice.

--- Comment #4 from Rainer Bielefeld

For "1b" we already have "Bug 37654 - UI Slide names no longer visible in Slide
Pane / Page Pane"

"2" only affects docked slide pane, in floating pane you can see multiple
columns with thumbnails.

That still worked in LibO 3.1.1 and with "LibreOffice 3.3.3 German UI/Locale
[OOO330m19 (Build:301) tag libreoffice-3.3.3.1] on German WIN7 Home Premium
(64bit)

[Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.4.5 German UI [Build ID: OOO340m1
(Build:502)]" parallel Server installation on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)

[Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.4.1RC1 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German
UI [OOO340m1 (Build:101)]"

So it seems we lost that with 3.4

A docked horizontal slides pane only can show a single row of thumbnails

All the same in DRAW.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52565] New: (regression) Conditional Format formula for wrong cell is displayed

2012-07-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon

 Bug #: 52565

is displayed
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.6.0.2 rc
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
  Severity: critical
  Priority: medium
 Component: Spreadsheet
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: james_av...@yahoo.com

Created attachment 64757
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64757
Demo spreadsheet with conditional formatting

The Conditional Formatting dialog sometimes shows information about
the wrong cell (that is, some cell other than the current selection).

Please open the attached CondFmt.ods spreadsheet, which was created
with LibreOffice 3.4.4

Click any cell in column A, then Format->Conditional Formatting
and display Condition #1. Every cell shows the Formula

MOD(B1,2)=0

which is incorrect except for cell A1. In all the others, the formula is

MOD(Bx,2)=0 [where x is the row number]

That this is the case can be confirmed by observing that the 'Yellow' style is
conditionally applied only when the number in column B is even.

You can also open the spreadsheet using LO 3.4.4 and see the correct formulas.

Marking this as critical because IMO this regression must be fixed before 3.6
is released, as it makes it impossible to rationally edit Conditional Formats.

Hi,

I redid, with LibO 3.5.5.2, the procedure described above :

create a new table :
- create a field A VARCHAR(100)
- create a field B NUMERIC(50)
- change length of B > NUMERIC(20)
- change type of B > DECIMAL(20)
undo -> B is NUMERIC(20)
undo -> B is NUMERIC(50)

and I still see no problem. For me, there is no bug.

Can close all documents till a blank GUI appears.

But then neither File/Exit nor X-Button closes the GUI.

Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice

AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Created attachment 64753
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64753
This is the file after opening.

Problem description:
Much like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46699 (this may be a
regression of that bug... opening an empty (0 byte) file causes a master file
to be silently written to the file location as soon as "CSV Filter" is invoked.
Some formats (like PDF) give an error dialog (General Error), then exit more
properly.

Touch (or Copy NUL: >filename.csv) to create an empty file
Steps to reproduce:
1. Touch (or Copy NUL: >filename.csv) to create an empty file
2. Double-click to open the file in LibreOffice
3. Select CSV filter
4. File on disk will likely be an empty master document.

Current behavior:
Master Document is written to disk, even if the file is not saved.

**While normally I'd say this is heinously dangerous, If this only happens with
empty files, it's only confusing.**
Expected behavior:

LibreOffice should _warn_ if you're opening an empty file and _ask_ if you want
to create a new file with that filename/path.

The file length should probably be checked _before_ we get to that filter
dialog. If the file does not exist, or does exist, but has no length (or maybe
we don't have access to read the file!) this should probably be explained
better.

Platform (if different from the browser):
Windows 7 32 Bit
LibreOffice 3.5.5.3

Hi Joseph,

are you using LO 3.4 or 3.5?
The last stable version is 3.5.5.
Is bug still in 3.4 or 3.5?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52558] New: Broken check for Boost::Date_Time in configure.in

2012-07-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52558

 Bug #: 52558
Summary: Broken check for Boost::Date_Time in configure.in
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.6.0.2 rc
  Platform: All
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Libreoffice
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: ftig...@wolfpond.org

Recent versions of LibreOffice-3.6 (since June 2012) fail to build on some of
my systems. The error message indicates a problem with Boost::Date_time

checking whether the Boost::Date_Time library is available... yes
configure: error: Could not find a version of the library!

It turns out Boost::Date_time is in fact perfectly functional and the
configure script reports a non-existing error.

Removing the AX_BOOST_DATE_TIME check from configure.in is enough to make
LibreOffice-3.6 start building.

Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.6.0.2 rc
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal

Created attachment 64750
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64750
Screensot of step 4.

Problem description:
For negation, in French language, when "ne" is missing : the subject is
rewritten.

In French language , negation is done with 2 words, generally : "ne ... pas".
For example : "Je mange" => "Je ne mange pas".

Steps to reproduce:
1. Write "Je suis pas idiot.", in French Writter.
2. Writer detect the fault, and underline "suis pas" with a blue wavy line :
"ne" is missing.
3. With the secondary button mouse (generally the right), clic on "suis pas".
4. A menu appears and "suis pas" is selected.
5. In the menu, you can select the corrected text : "Je ne suis pas". Do it.
6. The text is now : "Je Je ne suis pas idiot."

Current behavior:
The subject is rewritten. It's bad.

Expected behavior:
1. Write "Je suis pas idiot.", in French Writter.
2. Writer detect the fault, and underline "Je suis pas" with a blue wavy line :
"ne" is missing.
3. With the secondary button mouse (generally the right), clic on "Je suis
pas".
4. A menu appears and "Je suis pas" is selected.
5. In the menu, you can select the corrected text : "Je ne suis pas". Do it.
6. The text is now : "Je ne suis pas idiot."

(Correction of steps 2 and 3 are not crucial, but 4 and 6 are.)

Platform (if different from the browser):

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1

Screenshot showing the same document, but in LibO 3.5.5.3 on WinXP: no color

And now I understand why nobody else complains about this issue: it is NOT
reproducible with LibO 3.5.5.3 on Windows XP Professional.

To test, I used the same file as on MacOS X (screenshot: attachment 64672), but
the result is different: on WinXP, the text is no longer visible (only the wavy
red line shows where it is). Therefore, on Windows the display of text color
and background color is correct (matching), only on MacOS X the background
color is rendered incorrectly.

Could someone else please test on some Linux variant, please?

LibO 3.6.0 rc2 has a separate box to activate macro recording:

Tools->Options->LibreOffice->General->Enable macro recording (limited)

However, the help dialog still does not mention that this option exists and
that it is disabled by default. Since this is not specific for Calc (but also
affects Writer) I consider this a documentation bug, hence the change in the
component.

Hello Drew McLean,

thank you very much for your bug report! I agree with you that this is a
critical issue. It is already known, therefore I mark this report as a
duplicate of the main bug report for this issue -- bug 39007.

In the report for bug 39007 you will find some suggestions how to solve the
problem, at least for some time (see comments no. 2, 6, and 20 there).
Basically, you need to delete the file
"org.libreoffice.script.savedState"
from the folder
"~/Library/Saved Application State/"
(~ is your user/home folder) and to reboot your Mac.

I hope that our developers will fix this issue soon and for good, but it seems
it is not easy to fix, it is some kind of terrible "misunderstanding" between
LibreOffice and MacOS X 10.7 (AFAIK 10.7 only).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52552] New: : Issues with password-protected read-only files

2012-07-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52552

 Bug #: 52552
   Summary: : Issues with password-protected read-only files
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.4.1 release
  Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: cst...@gmail.com

Problem description: Formatting errors in read-only files, particularly
read-only files with radio buttons. Inability to unlock password-protected
read-only files.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Get a password-protected read-only file with radio buttons (e.g.
http://www.iwcc.il.gov/arbdecFORM.doc ).
2. Open it.
3. Try editing the fields. Enter the correct password ("IWCC" without quotes)
when prompted.

Current behavior: The formatting is messed up. (Note the lack of a radio button
next to A. in the list midway down the first page.) You cannot edit the file,
and there is no way to unlock it, even after entering the correct password.

Expected behavior: Correct formatting, file becomes unlocked and capable of
editing after the password is entered.

Platform (if different from the browser): Windows 7 64-bit

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/13.0.1

You don't need to test for the time a conditional format regression has been
introduced. They have been introduced all at the same time by my big merge of
the new conditional format code.

I'll need to inspect the gdi metafile code to see if they support our
conditional formats at all.

Good to hear that! This means that something with the existing User Profile
went wrong, I mean, it did not work correctly anymore after the upgrade.

Therefore a final question to you, Jan:
Do you still have the old (renamed) User Profile folder (at: /Library/Application Support/, as I wrote in step 1 and 2 of comment #2)?
It should be there parallel to the newly created "LibreOffice" folder which
contains your new (and working) User Profile.

Can you please
* ZIP the complete old (renamed) User Profile folder (just select the complete
folder and then choose "Compress ..." from the Finder's "File" menu)
* and then attach the ZIP file to this bug report (just click on "Add an
attachment" on this page)?

It is possible that this ZIP archive will help our developers to find out what
was going wrong with the user profile after the upgrade -- this may help them
to prevent such annoying issues in future.

Thank you very much in advance!

> As you see I answer as you advised.

Thank you ;-) As you see, it helps to keep the bug report page short and clean.

*

I adjust the summary again to reflect our enlarged knowledge, and add this bug
to our list of issues about "Incorrect behavior using existing User Profile for
upgrade" (bug 43489).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52547] New Firefox Image Clipboard Causes Wrong Paste In LibreOffice

2012-07-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52547

--- Comment #1 from Dave Richards 2012-07-26 14:41:44 UTC
---
Here is some more information:

http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/926093?page=3

Firefox 12 added new formats to the clipboard when you copy an image.
Unfortunately, some applications were choosing a plain text URL rather than the
bitmap (image data), so the change in Firefox 13 is to remove the plain text
URL from the clipboard.

However, both Firefox 12 and Firefox 13 include some HTML code on the
clipboard, to embed the image. This is needed to be able to paste images into
Gmail messages, which was the whole point of making the change in Firefox 12.

Classification: Unclassified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.6.0.0.beta2
  Platform: Other

  Severity: normal

AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
ReportedBy: drich...@largo.com

Created attachment 64741
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=64741
Now offering two items, URL an bitmap

Prior to Firefox 12, when you right-mouse clicked on an image and selected
"Copy Image" the bitmap was placed into the clipboard. This worked perfectly
in OpenOffice/LibreOffice. With Firefox 12 and higher, when you select "Copy
Image" the URL and bitmap are both placed into the clipboard. In LibreOffice,
when you select "Paste Special" the two types are displayed. However when you
paste it uses the URL and embeds the image into the document. Regular users
cannot immediately see the difference, however it's preferable to always use
the bitmap when available and store the image inside the document. This builds
a self contained document that can be viewed even when not connected to the
Internet.

We are requesting that the paste clipboard by default always use a bitmap if
it's available.

Attaching a shot showing the clipboard as offered by Firefox.
