https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58499 --- Comment #1 from john.pr...@cantab.net --- Yes I agree that the bold formatting is lost. Other formatting problems: * Columns D L (they should look like column S). These are both columns which have conditional formatting where the normal formatting (when no conditional formatting is active) has been lost. This does not happen everywhere though (column AW is very similar, but retains its base formatting apart from cell AW7). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58298] : Writer hang and 0xc0000005 error in RPCRT4.dll from soffice.bin in Windows 8 event log
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58298 Tony Cross tonycros...@yahoo.co.uk changed: What|Removed |Added Severity|minor |normal Priority|lowest |medium --- Comment #2 from Tony Cross tonycros...@yahoo.co.uk --- After a lot more research I've established that setting Windows 7 in compatibility mode does NOT resolve the problem. Neither does Run as administrator. I have also done a vanilla install of Windows 8 followed by an install of LO 3.6 (and nothing else) and I get the problem, so I don't think it's anything to do with my setup. The problem seems to occur most when using cut and paste in a writer doc that contains an image. I've not been able to reproduce the problem in a doc without an image. What I did was: 1. Create a new writer doc 2. Enter a few paragraphs of random text 3. Insert an image (with optimal text wrap and specified border sizes) 4. Copy and paste paragraphs of text around the doc. 5. Save-As the doc 6. Export as a pdf (via the toolbar button). The dialog box to choose the destination for the pdf file was not displayed and the 0xc005 error appeared in the Windows event log. Pressing the export to pdf button again eventually (after about 40 seconds) produced the dialog box and from then on LO seemed to work ok. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

(In reply to comment #0) My issue is that I need a way to force comparisons to be case-insensitive, and apparently specifying the column type isn't sufficient... Yes it is : The SQL statement update Text1 T1 set Target=(select Col2 from Text2 T2 where T1.Col1=T2.Col2) works as expected Now, in a query, as you point out the order of comparison is crucial. With the SQL statement: update Text1 T1 set Target=(select Col2 from Text2 T2 where T1.Col1=left(T2.Col2,5)) T1.Col1 ignores case and accepts so uppercase or lowercase (result of left...) With the SQL statement: update Text1 T1 set Target=(select Col2 from Text2 T2 where left(T2.Col2,5)=T1.Col1) The expression left(T2.Col2,5) is evaluated and compared with T1.Col1 T1.Col1 is defined as to ignore case, but not the result of expression left... IMHO This does not seem to me to be a bug, I would recommend then to close as NOTABUG (In reply to comment #1) If I understand this response, with all due respect, it seems inappropriate: the request is not here to be able to run update queries from the GUI. The Issue is not either a limitation of the engine version but a different result depending on how to write SQL. (2) “Insert File...”. A Windows dialog is openend in order to choose a file to be inserted. (3) Choose a picture file with the file extension jpg or png. Then “OK” or “Open”. The dialog closes and nothing is inserted. Expected: Display of an error message: “The file 'filename.jpg' cannot be inserted, hence it is not a text file.” or a similar message. So, if a user expects this (insert picture), he may be quite irritated, if this is not possible. In order to avoid such an expectation, the menu item should be changed to “Text file...” or “Text document...”. In SQL it has to be the same result when linking a = b or b = a. When this doesn't work it is a bug. Try in the example-database: SELECT Col2 FROM Text2 WHERE 'pqrst' = Col2 Response is Col2 with 'pqRst'. (In reply to comment #1) If I understand this response, with all due respect, it seems inappropriate: the request is not here to be able to run update queries from the GUI. The comment has nothing to do with an update-query from the GUI. The problem of this bug is, that nobody from the Libre-Office developers could change something at this position. It's a direct SQL-input. Somebody, who has installed a newer version of HSQLDB, could try the command. Could be, that it works in the way the reporter of the bug thinks it should work. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47163] Profile folder cannot be created in nonANSI path
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47163 --- Comment #4 from Socratis socrat...@gmail.com --- Reporter from Bug 58495 here. Thanks Urmas for finding out that my report was a duplicate. It didn't occur to me to search for ANSI, only for ASCII and/or locale. Anyway, during my search, a quick and dirty workaround is to change the system locale to match the language of the user's profile, i.e. Cyrillic in your case or Greek in mine. Of course this is not optimal or wanted in most of the cases. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58440] EDITING: moving columns/rows with alt+dragdrop overwrites instead of ousting
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58440 --- Comment #5 from Rainer Bielefeld libreoff...@bielefeldundbuss.de --- (In reply to comment #4) A little more detailed description 1. fill the first three fielda (A1,B1,C1) of row 1 with random data (for example a,b,c) 2. select colum C by clicking the column header 3. Alt (or whatever required for Mac) 4. Click into C2, keep mouse button pushed 5. Start moving mouse pointer to the left Mouse pointer changes to Not here in C2 6. When you have trespassed border C-B Mouse pointer changes to Move, Border between coluns B-A becomes bold 7. When you have reach middle of Be release mouse button Contents of columns B,C have interchanged. That's the way how it works with WIN, and this does not work under Ubuntu (May be because of other reasons). If a last attempt failed please please make this one new for Markus, he already fixed other bugs (Bug 46230 - EDITING: impossible to perform a drag drop of entire row/column). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44688] (windows only) Hebrew Vowel Points are sometimes misplaced in PDF export (and printing)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44688 --- Comment #16 from dehc...@yahoo.com --- Being a biblical scholar myself I experience the same problem: While in Writer the vowel signs in are placed correctly under the Hebrew letter, exporting the document as PDF results in dislocated vowel signs. (I used the PDF button, no options selected.) Printing the document Exporting the very same file as PDF with LO 3.5.4.7 in openSUSE 12.2 KDE results in a flawless PDF file. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57985] SQL: left() function causes VARCHAR_IGNORECASE columns to be compared case-sensitive
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57985 --- Comment #7 from David F Smith davidjudysm...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #5) Well, for me it is not a bug. I disagree. Now, in a query, as you point out the order of comparison is crucial. I'm not aware of any other SQL situation in which a comparison is non-commutative. Equal should mean equal, regardless of the order of the comparands, and as far as I know it does mean that in every other flavor of SQL. What you're describing sounds like a workaround for a bug, and not one that I as a developer would be happy to publicize except as a short-term fix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
