[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58417] Libreoffice 4.0 crashes in LanguageTag constructor at start on Ubuntu 12.10 64bit
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58417 --- Comment #18 from mak...@t-online.hu --- Hi everyone, I downloaded the final stable release's (4.0.0.3) deb files and installed. The symptons are the same: LibreOffice loads, if I click on a menu item, or type some text the app crashes. If I re-launch it quits immediately after the splash screen. If I remove the libreoffice directory in ~/.config it loads again. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit and have several languages installed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Unfortunately, after checking this option, exactly 100 function names still appear in localized language instead of English. Please see attached spreadsheet for excessive list. It seems that they all appear in files that are in scaddins directory in Pootle, which may help narrow down the issue. Expected output: After checking Use English function names, all function names should be in English. I could reproduce this on: - LO 3.5.6 on Arch Linux (i386) - LO 3.6.5 on Debian GNU/Linux (amd64) - LO 4.0.0 on Windows 7 (i386) One user pointed out that this bug was introduced in 3.5.6; 3.5.5 and earlier worked as expected, which would classify this issue as regression. I did not check if this is really a case. I have checked only Polish version of LO. Don't know if this appears in other languages and to what avail. This might be seen as duplicate of: - #32686 - I could reproduce this problem on other OSes, so this is not Ubuntu-specific bug. - #50118 - I don't know if this is matter of LO's core or add-in; it does appear on standard installation of LO (without any third-party extensions) and users perceive it as a bug, so I strongly believe it is a bug. You get leading zeros if the length of the numberstring is less then your specified count. Eg. if you have 100 and take 3 leading zeros your result is 100. If you have 100 and 4 leading zeros you get 0100. So for numbers 1-9 you will get the number itself with leading zeros set to 1 or 0. If your number starts with 0 there's a difference. See the example. I think what the user as default expects is a leading zero for 0.1. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60582 Priority: medium Bug ID: 60582 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: EDITING: Incorrect inserting of images to Draw when done by Copy/Paste from Finder Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: czepe...@email.cz Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.2 rc Component: Drawing Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 74532 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=74532action=edit The attachment shows the result of inserting a PNG image to LibreOffice Draw by using Copy/Paste from Mac OS X Finder. Hi! I am a proud user of LO, but there is one annoying bug that affects many versions of this office suite and that could be fixed easily in my opinion: I do not remember, when it actually worked properly (I am using LO since version 3.3.). I was always expecting it to be solved in the next version. Now, I have decided to report it myself. Problem description: If you want to insert an image from Finder to your Draw project by using Copy/Paste, the software inserts only an icon named PNG,JPG,TIFF based on the image's extension, but not the image itself. If you do the same Copy/Paste trick from Finder to other components of LibreOffice, like Writer, it works normally. If you do it in Draw or Impress, it inserts only an icon. Steps to reproduce: 1. Find an image on your Mac by using Finder 2. Select the image 3. Press Cmd+C 4. Jump to LibreOffice Draw 5. Press Cmd+V Current behavior: If reproduced correctly, you will not see your image, but only an icon, named PNG,JPG,TIFF... based on the original image's extension. If you try to insert the same image by pressing Cmd+V in Writer, Impress and Draw, you will see that only Draw and Impress are affected, while Writer inserts the image properly. Expected behavior: I expected that Copy/Paste of an image to LibreOffice Draw would insert the image itself, like it does in Writer, where this function works properly. I just love to use Cmd+C / Cmd+V to insert my images and photographs directly into my documents, presentations and drawings. It's fast and user-friendly. Thanks you, guys! Unfortunately, it is not correctly updated after switching tabs at top of window. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open new template manager 2. Switch tab to Presentations 3. Descend into Presentation backgrounds directory 4. Switch tab to Documents Result: No templates are shown. Breadcrumb navigation still shows All templates → Presentation backgrounds. See attached image (it's from Polish version of LO; Prezentacje means Presentations, pretty similar to English). Expected results: Refresh breadcrumb navigation and change current directory to root.
