[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62581] New: : wrong Opentype Font Display / Univers LT Std
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62581 Priority: medium Bug ID: 62581 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: : wrong Opentype Font Display / Univers LT Std Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: hau...@web.de Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 3.6.5.2 release Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 76855 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=76855action=edit Font Popup Menu showing the (wrong) oblique display of Univers LT Std 55 Problem description: Steps to reproduce: (0. Acquire Univers Std as Opentype font set) (1. Install properly) steps 0 and 1 I have for years. 2. Open LibreOffice 3. create any kind of new document 4. Type some text, select text 5. Select Font Popup Menu 6. Scroll down to Universe LT Std 7. Find all Univers font cuts displayed properly, EXCEPT Univers LT Std 55 Roman 8. Choose Univers LT Std 55 9. Text is displayed, and printed, as Univers LT Std 55 OBLIQUE Current behavior: Univers LT Std 55 Roman is displayed, and printed, as Univers LT Std 55 oblique. The Italic button is unselected. Selecting the Italic button makes the font even more oblique. All other Univers varieties are displayed properly. This is an offical Linotype Univers Opentype license, no illegally downloaded contraband. Expected behavior: display and print Univers LT Std 55 Roman as Univers LT Std 55 Roman This behaviour is not new. I remember seeing this with earlier versions. Unfortunately, Univers LT Std 55 is my main font. Up to now, this specific font fault kept me from switching to LibreOffice full-time. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45600 --- Comment #22 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com --- I talked to Andras about this; apparently it's related to our renaming (and adding component names eg. So it seems like the best, and cleanest fix is to implement the simple interface necessary to populate the jump-list with exactly what we want, rather than using the Windows built-in support - the examples are there, the MSD docs are there - so with a few more code pointers we should turn this into an easy hack :-) [ prolly best as a separate bug ]. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Severity: critical Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: michael.me...@novell.com Hardware: Other Status: NEW Version: 4.0.0.3 release Component: Android Impress Remote Product: LibreOffice I did an hour long presentation and got this today: E/AndroidRuntime( 2269): java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: bitmap size exceeds VM budget E/AndroidRuntime( 2269):at android.graphics.BitmapFactory.nativeDecodeByteArray(Native Method) E/AndroidRuntime( 2269):at android.graphics.BitmapFactory.decodeByteArray(BitmapFactory.java:405) E/AndroidRuntime( 2269):at android.graphics.BitmapFactory.decodeByteArray(BitmapFactory.java:418) E/AndroidRuntime( 2269):at org.libreoffice.impressremote.communication.SlideShow.getImage(SlideShow.java:57) E/AndroidRuntime( 2269):at org.libreoffice.impressremote.PresentationFragment$ThumbnailAdapter.createBitmap(PresentationFragment.java:309) E/AndroidRuntime( 2269):at pl.polidea.coverflow.AbstractCoverFlowImageAdapter.getItem(AbstractCoverFlowImageAdapter.java:73) I strongly suspect that this is because: public Bitmap getImage(int aSlide) { byte[] aImage = mPreviewImages.get(aSlide); if (aImage == null) { return BitmapFactory.decodeResource(mContext.getResources(), R.drawable.image_loading); } Bitmap aBitmap = null; try { aBitmap = BitmapFactory.decodeByteArray(aImage, 0, aImage.length); } catch (OutOfMemoryError e) { Log.e(Globals.TAG, Bitmap decoding error byte length: + aImage.length + first 4 bytes: + aImage[0] + + aImage[1] + + aImage[2] + + aImage[3] + Exception + e); } if (aBitmap == null) { return BitmapFactory.decodeResource(mContext.getResources(), R.drawable.image_loading); } return aBitmap; } is called by the coverflow, and constantly re-creates the bitmap from the stored base64 string. It seems to me that this is really silly :-) we should store the Bitmap and return the same Bitmap pointer for each slide as a Bitmap - which has to be 50% of the size of a base64 encoded image. It would also be the same image each time so as to not kill the GC etc. - and caching that should improve perf. We should throw away the base64 text too as soon as we successfully have an image in hand :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Problem description: When using the quick search box while editing in Writer (invoked with ctrl+F), the search string is interpreted as a regular expression if the use regular expressions option has been checked in the search and replace dialog before. However, there is no immediate way to check, uncheck or just check out the state of that option from the quick search dialog. Steps to reproduce: 0. Type ??? in an empty writer document 1. Here is a description of how to reproduce the bug starting from scratch with a freshly-installed LO 4.0.1.2: 1) Create a new document by clicking Database in the LibreOffice opening screen 2) Click Next with Create a new database selected 3) There is no need to register the database, but click Finish 4) Let the name default to New Database 5) Click Create Table in Design View 6) Create a new Table, adding a field named Foo, leaving the type at the default, which is Text [ VARCHAR ] 7) Exit, saving changes and allowing the software to create a primary key 8) Leave the table with the default name, Table1 9) Double click the new Table1 to open it for editing 10) Fill in a sample row, with ID set to 1 and Foo set to Bar 11) Close Table1, saving changes 12) Click Reports and Create Report in Design View 13) Click Detail 14) Double-click Foo to add Foo to the Detail section of your report 15) Close the Add dialog box 16) Make sure the value box containing =Foo is still selected 17) Click the ... next to Font and change the Arial Regular 12 to Comic Sans MS Bold 20 18) Close the window, saving changes as Report1 19) Double-click your new Report1 to open the report 20) Notice that the word Foo appears in Comic Sans MS Bold, but the word Bar is still in Times New Roman 12. Since upgrading to LibreOffice 4.0, my Reports in Base are no longer formatted correctly. No matter what font I specify (even something zany like Wingdings Bold Italic 16 point), the fields in the report still come out using the default font, Times New Roman 12 point. Many of my fields aren't actually big enough for 12 point type, so the reports look jumbled, with partial lines printing on top of each other. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Im excitedly testing the /daily/master/Android-ARM@24-Bytemark-Hosting/current releases. It looks great on my Note2. Im testing it with the Samsung Smartdock and an attached wireless Desktop Set. Mouse is working fine in LibreOffice. The issue i want to report is the misinterpreting of the Keyboard-Inputs. Normal Keys are working fine but Space and Shift won't work. If i'm testing with the Samsung-Stock-Keyboard-App Space isnt working. If i'm testing with Go-Keyboard-App Shoft isnt working. Im looking forward for news about this port to Android. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62603] New: Regular expression replacements affect formatting in undesired ways
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62603 Priority: medium Bug ID: 62603 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Regular expression replacements affect formatting in undesired ways Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: coldchr...@gmail.com Hardware: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.3 release Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice This bug corresponds to the Apache OpenOffice bug 121482, which was previously marked as RESOLVED FIXED but has now been reopened. Since LibreOffice 4.0 now uses the the same ICU-based regexp engine as AOO 3.4, it also suffers from the same formatting-related problems. Regexp-based search and replace operations now affect a text portion’s formatting, even though no style-related operation was specified. For example, the regexp search ([:alnum:]) replaced with “$1 to replace straight quotes with curly quotes affects the formatting (specifically, italics in this case are removed from part of the text portion). This seems to suggest that search and replace operations using regular expressions now not only operate on the underlying text content, but also interfere with the text’s *representation*, which is of great concern since one of the most important principles of both AOO and LibO is that they are supposed to cleanly separate the “model” or content structure from the “frame” or visible representation of the content. This bug yields an underlying question: does the ICU regexp engine really allow clean seperation between content and presentation? Is the problem solely related to AOO and LibO’s implementation of ICU or is there an inherent problem in ICU? It appears necessary for the LibO project to fix this bug by themselves and independently of AOO, since it is assumed that LibO will not re-base their code on AOO’s in the future. The fact that AOO once thought that the bug was fixed but then changed their mind and realized that they were not sure is troubling. Eventually, fixing this bug might require cleaning up and improving the API’s *search descriptors*, especially with regards to the way text portions are treated by search descriptors. The very old and as of yet unfixed enhancement bug (OOo/AOO bug 2997) asking for the addition of character styles searches through the search and replace dialog comes to mind. It is troubling that this particular issue was never fixed in more than ten years. The search decriptors’ use of the `awt` module for locating character formatting in paragraphs might be a hint to understanding this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
