[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67493] documents with a special font aren't displayed correctly
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67493 --- Comment #5 from Owen Genat --- Created attachment 83564 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=83564&action=edit FontForge screenshot of metrics for Rotis and DejaVu Sans fonts. This is not necessarily the cause of the problem, but it is worth noting that the SPACE (U+0020, named "glyph1") character in the provided custom font is mapped to the beginning of the Private Use Area (U+E001, named "space"). I am not sure why this would be necessary, but it seems erroneous. A more likely cause of your problem is that LO is now (more) correctly interpreting the metrics of your font. I have attached a screenshot of what FontForge shows for the OS/2 > Metrics tab. There are significant differences e.g., a "Typo Line Gap" of zero for your font. It is possible this is contributing to the line spacing issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57378] FILEOPEN / DOCX FILTER: cropped image in docx file is displayed incorrectly in writer
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57378 --- Comment #18 from Stephan van den Akker --- Thanks Cor, The issue with bitmaps in docx files not being cropped seems to be solved. Many thanks to the unknown hero that fixed this. I'm trying to figure out what is going on in my "real life" document. The remaining problem is with drawings (grouped vector and bitmap elements) inside a Word 97-2003 doc. For some reason the bitmap elements inside these drawings are not recognised as bitmaps by Writer, and are treated as some kind of uncroppable but scalable vector element. E.g. the context menu of the bitmap part doesn't have the "Picture" and "Caption" items associated with a bitmap. I can't attach a sample document, but I can provide a small sample file to the LO devs. The only thing I notice different in the content.xml part of this document is an extra empty element within the surrounding the draw:image refrerence: Removing it seems to make no difference. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67673] Other: Pasting data into Calc - Text import dialog ignores column type
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67673 --- Comment #11 from Marcel Samek --- I have experimented a bit more with mixed data in the columns and now I understand what is happening: When you select a column and mark it as "Text", Calc goes through and identifies all the cells that have numberic data in them and changes the format to "Text", but it leaves all the cells that have non-numeric data alone and leaves them as "Number". The result is that the spreadsheet now has a column with mixed data in it. The reason that this behavior is annoying and why I consider it a bug is this: When I imported the text column, in the import column I marked it as text and thought I was done. It was only later than I realized that sorts on that column were not sorting that column properly. They were in a bizzare order and I started digging into the problem. The way the current functionality is set up means that the "column type" setting in the import dialog is essentially useless because you are not guaranteed that it will actually set the column type. After the data has been imported, you have to go an set the format of the cells again. If you mistakenly believe that the column type setting in the import panel actually sets the column type, then none of your data sorting will work properly for text data. For one column Calc does what the user has asked it to do, but for another Calc silently ignores the users input? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57291] Embedding audio files used for transitions
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57291 --- Comment #4 from Marc --- I agree that this is a very desirable feature, particularly because using a sound file for transition is the only way you can place a sound-track in a presentation so that it will run throughout the whole presentation. For example, I created a presentation for which the whole purpose was to display the words of a song, with saved timings so the slides would change at the right points in the song, but when I copied the presentation to the computer it is to be shown on - no song! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67673] Other: Pasting data into Calc - Text import dialog ignores column type
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67673 --- Comment #4 from Marcel Samek --- Hi Cor, I am not convinced that we are talking about the same thing. So let me as you this: 1) Copy the following lines and paste them into a text editor. Then copy the same lines from the text editor. (If you copy/paste directly from a web page it will behave differently, but that is a different issue). D 3 U 4 d 13 u 4 DDDUD 27 DDDUU 10 DDDUd 36 DDDUu 16 DDDdD 26 DDDdU 36 2) Paste into a new worksheet in Calc. Calc immediately pops up a modal panel labeled Text Import. 3) On that panel select "Space" as a separator. Now in the field display you will see two columns. The first containing text strings and the second containing numbers. 4) Click on the header for the first column. The column type pulldown will say "Standard" 5) Select "Text" from the pulldown. 6) Hit OK to import the data into the spreadsheet. So, my question is this: What is the expected behavior of my having selected "Text" from the pulldown? I have been laboring under the assumption that making that choice tells calc that those are "Text" cells. If that is not the case, then I do not understand what the purpose of that "column type" pulldown is. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67673] Other: Pasting data into Calc - Text import dialog ignores column type
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67673 --- Comment #2 from Marcel Samek --- Hi Cor, Thanks for the quick response, but your answer does not make sense to me. Yes, you are correct, the formatting on the pasted data is Number/Default - if that was simply the default behavior I would have no problem with that. However, when I did the paste, Calc popped up a panel that specifically asked me what type the columns were and I specified that the column was text. I did not ask for this panel - Calc chose to pop it up when I did the paste. So, if Calc is going to pop up a panel that asks me what type the column is, and then chooses to ignore my input, that looks, smells, and tastes like a bug. Either Calc should not have the option to specify the column format on the import panel, or it should not ignore it. Either way, something needs to change. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67501 --- Comment #2 from tilu...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #1) I studied this behavior, and the problem is not the border width, but your PointA helped me to find out what is it. So the problem: Every cell has its own borders, and the neighbouring borders are placed on each other. So if you set 2 kind of width, in general, the thicker will be displayed. My suggestion for solution: The border of neighbouring cells should be a common attribution. For example: L2's bottom border is L3's top border.
