Original DOC document. SHows correctly in MS Office. OOO does not show all
pages. Page 1 should be there and page 2 empty. Other pages missing.

Mimetype fixed

I already pointed out that the provided XML attachment contains
style:table-column-properties fo:break-before=auto
style:column-width=15.145mm style:use-optimal-column-width=true/, but
doesn't contain any use-optimal-line-height.

So I persist that the problem lives in the input .XML file, not in LibO. I
can't go further due to a lack of getting the details steps used to load those
XML files.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 43715] Impress: presentation minimizer not reduces resolution of images (regression after 3.3)

2013-10-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43715

--- Comment #20 from Jean-Baptiste Faure jbf.fa...@sud-ouest.org ---
In fact Presentation Minimizer fails to reduce pictures that are added in a
slide with the layout Title, Content by clicking on the Insert Picture
button which is _in the slide_.
If you insert a picture in a slide with the layout Blank slide using the
button From File which is _in the toolbar_, then Presentation Minimizer
reduces this picture without problem.

Steps to reproduce:
You need 2 (different) pictures, for example 2 photos, size ~3 MB each.
1/ create a new empty presentation
2/ chose the layout Blank Slide
3/ in the toolbar Drawing click on the button From File, choose the first
picture
4/ add a new slide and click on the layout Title, Content
5/ in the center on this new empty slide you have a button with 4 actions;
click on Insert Picture and choose the second picture
6/ save your presentation
7/ menu Tools Minimize Presentation...
8/ choose the options which give the smallest size (default options for Screen
Optimized)
9/ Presentation Minimizer says that the file size will reduce from ~ 6 MB to ~2
MB or less
10/ launch the minimization
You get a file with size ~ 3 MB. If you examine the minimized presentation you
will see that only the first picture has been reduced. You can verify that by
opening the file with your preferred archiver software (rename the .odp in .zip
before).

Tested today in the master (Build ID: 8998a84f2a45f099981183fc7c6ba1d16a744414
after the de-extension-alization of Presentation Minimizer) and in LO
4.1.4.0.0+.

Best regards. JBF

2013-10-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #2 from Tor Lillqvist t...@iki.fi ---
Please note that there will be lots of false differences between (flat) ODF
exports of even only minimally edited versions of a document, though, thanks to
gratuitous randomness in the ODF output. See my recent changes in master that
check for the LIBO_ONEWAY_STABLE_ODF_EXPORT environment variable, and in case
that is set, do ODF output in a more stable manner. Unfortunately, as the
ONEWAY part of the env var name indicates, this is not intended to be
roundtrip-safe, though, so that code path can not be made the default. It would
be great if people who actually understand the issues involved would figure out
roudtrip-safe ways to solve the problem (that task it likely not an EasyHack)

With Base you could connect (under Linux) to the addressbook of KDE. Up to the
last Version 3.5.* the connection could be established, but no content is shown
with my special addressbook - don't know why.

Same system, since LO 3.6.*, an error occured:
SQL Status: HY000
The connection to the external data source could not be established. No SDBC
driver was found for the given URL.
A connection for the following URL was requested sdbc:address:kab.

It's the same behavior with all versions up to 4.2.0.0 master from 2013-10-18.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 41981] Custom Shortcut Keys for Special Symbols

2013-10-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41981

--- Comment #4 from Zoltán Hegedüs x...@hdsnet.hu ---
I am writing mathematic formulas with Writer, without the formula editor,
because this is fast in this manner.
I made a lot of macros, and a hotkey for each macros. For example, the integral
sign, Greek letters, and by the way, for the charcters of standard notation of
English pronouncation.
Microsoft Office Word 2003 can make hotkeys for special characters directly,
without macros. It should be good this function in Writer: after choosing the
character, a button for choosing the hotkey, and a check box for choosing the
insert mode: with the actual font at the cursor at time of inserting, or with a
given font, for example, OpenSymbol (the font of the choosed special
character).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70644] New: Other: Formula gets lowercased and invalidates non-existing sheet name

2013-10-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 70644

non-existing sheet name
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: ad...@lukas-prokop.at
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.2.2 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 87851
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=87851action=edit
Lowercased sheet name in reference

Problem description:
  Based on the following description:
https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Referencing_a_Cell_in_Another_Document
(Section: To Reference a Cell in the Same Document)
If another sheet is referenced in a formula and this sheet does not exist
yet, the sheet name gets lowercased. This invalidates references to resources
that will be attached later on. This is IMHO an unexpected, annoying behavior.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new, empty spreadsheet.
2. enter the following formula in cell A1 of Sheet1: =Sheet2.A1
3. *Create a new sheet Sheet 2*. Set the cursor in cell A1 there and enter
text or a number.
4. If you switch back to Sheet1, you will *not* see the same content in cell A1
there, but a #NAME? referencing error. This is due to the formula which got
lowercased to =sheet2.a1. Where a1 is a valid reference to A1, sheet2
is not a valid reference to Sheet2.
5. If you change the formula to =Sheet2.a1, the reference will work again.

Current behavior:
Reference error due to lowercase operation.

Expected behavior:
Working reference once the referenced sheet gets introduced.

Possible/proposed solutions:
  * Do not apply lowercase operation.
  * Sheet2 equates technically to sheet2.
  * Or at least adjust the documentation that the sheet has to exist beforehand
and sheet names should only consist of lowercase letters.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.0.4 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Using a previously stored letter logo and address, letter details were added
and saved to file. The file, when opened again, contained all the correct
details and layout, font, type etc. Additions were made to the uncompleted
letter with no problem until suddenly after adding 6 lines of type the whole
letter disappeared, replacing it with a blank page containing logo and address.
NO KEYING ERRORS WERE MADE BY ME
Various ways were attempted to try retrieval without success BUT even the
existing STORED FILE had been wiped and only contained the blank page and logo.
This is a very serious fault as no explanation, warning, or options were
offered at the time of adding the extra words.
My confidence in using this product again has been considerably shaken. I
hope there is some remedy which can restore my faith. I had, up until this
experience, been very pleased with your product.
Hopefully you will be able to assist and reassure.
  Many thanksMike Parker

Master document is a key feature Of LibreOffice and anything that could
simplify using it should be done

When you want to create a master doc from your current doc, yo can use the
File/send/Create Master Document action.

If you do so and if your document do not use any heading style (Heading n) you
will have an error message : Can't create document

With this message you haven't got any information to solve the problem. The
message should be more explicit and should tell where the error come from.

An second step could be to allow creating a master doc form a document with no
heading style AFAIK, I don't see any reason for not allowing it.

Please be gentle with my poor English

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70636] bug reporter pages are just plain fucked

2013-10-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70636

--- Comment #1 from Fuck Registration fuck.registrat...@mailinator.com ---
Resolved?!? Nothing has changed! Did you fucknuts even test this?

Let me be a little more clear. If I go to
https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/ without JS, I get a message about
needing JS and am given a broken link. The bugzilla link is
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice;bug_status=UNCONFIRMED;version=?
which DOES NOT FUCKING WORK WITHOUT JAVASCRIPT. The text It is also possible
to use bugzilla, with a more complex interface, instead to report a problem.
It works on all browsers and when JavaScript is disabled. strongly suggests
that this would be an alternative way to report bugs without enabling
motherfucking javascript.

If I enable that fucking shitstack then I get a login form, above which it says
Please login using your bugzilla account. and bugzilla account links to
https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/ which is an actual working url. All you
retards need to do is use that same URL for the non-JS case and there wouldn't
be a problem.

Pull your head out of your ass!

Actually, why not just put the link direct to bugzilla on the main page? Your
website is a horrible mess. It looks way more enterprisey than it should for an
OSS project. I hit the main page and I get some huge fucking ad that has zero
useful stuff aside from the link to main site What the fuck am I getting at
the root if not the main site? Once I get to the main site then I have
multiple levels of crap to drill through to report a bug. The first page I hit
at the domain should breifly explain what LibreOffice is and should have links
to the download section and the bug reporter at the TOP LEVEL.

The idea is to compete with M$ on features, not on who can have the shittier
website.

@Justin:
Could you upload an xlsx file with the var.p and var.s functions used as an
attachment to this bug?

And possibly with more functions as listed in
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/what-s-new-changes-made-to-excel-functions-HA010355760.aspx
(except covariance.p/covariance.s, these have been fixed with bug 7)
?

I know how to fix it, but I haven't got Excel, so I can't test the fix...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69214] VIEWING: integration of film (avi, fly etc.) doesn't work! errormesasge: format is incorrect

2013-10-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69214

--- Comment #1 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net ---
Not reproduced with LibO 4.1.2.3 on Win7 : intégration of a short .AVI
succeeds.

I experimented tons of incorrect format for videos in the past (every where,
not specificaly in OOo...). If it last worked in 4.1.0.4 release, that may
evoque a lack of robustness in the LibO film input filter. However I suggest
you still try with films from different sources.

Set status to NEW since issue has been confirmed by another user in Bug 70649.
according to that report it worked fine in 4.1.0.4, hence regression.

No issue with Win7 64bit so bug is probably Linux specific.
Mac user feedback appreciated.

2013-10-19 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 70651
CC: webs...@global.libreoffice.org
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: BUGZILLAASSISTANT: Link to Bugzilla does not work
without javascript enabled
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: qu...@runcibility.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: WWW
   Product: LibreOffice

Testing on Ubuntu 12.04.3 + FF 24 + NoScript 2.6.8.3

REPRO:

1) Open https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/
2) If enabled, disable javascript for the libreoffice.org domain
3) Click on the [bugzilla] link:

It is also possible to use [bugzilla], with a more complex interface, instead
to report a problem.

RESULT:
The page reloads and the body of the page (below the header banners) appears
blank. There is no obvious way to get to FDO or back to the previous BSA
screen.

EXPECTED:
To be taken to this page on Bugzilla where one can enter a new LibreOffice bug:
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=LibreOffice;bug_status=UNCONFIRMED;version=?

NOTES:
Right-clicking the link and selecting 'Open in a New Tab' will properly open
the link
