https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60064 ajlittoz page74010...@yahoo.fr changed: What|Removed |Added Assignee|page74010...@yahoo.fr |libreoffice-b...@lists.free ||desktop.org --- Comment #3 from ajlittoz page74010...@yahoo.fr --- What kind of test document do you need? This is an enhancement request for a feature which is not presently offered by Writer. A sample document could be built like this: - create a new A4 portrait document - insert a line containing A (tab) B - give this line a named style, e.g. Custom based on Default - modify tabs in Custom style: create one right-aligned tab at right margin Result: A is flushed at left margin, B at right margin. Save document, re-open it. Format-Page, change to A4 landscape. Result: B is no longer at right margin and stays 17cm from left margin, as per definition. My intent was to keep B flushed at right margin, but this is not possible in the present implementation since ALL tabs are relative to left margin. This requires to attach a new property to a tab definition (its coordinate origin). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45644] Inconsistent behavior of table.Borderline in Writer and Calc
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45644 --- Comment #8 from Dietmar dhill...@gmx.de --- (In reply to comment #6) Calc cells and writer tables are different pieces of functionality. I'd personally be surprised if they were visually identical when accessed like this programatically. Can you be more specific on your expectation ? Well, they both respond to the command BorderLineStyle, so programmatically the tables for Calc and Writer are the same. Also, the characteristic InnerLineWidth is in reality the OuterLineWidth in Writer for a line at the bottom of a cell, just for a line at the top it is inner. Anyway, changing this would probably involve too many changes in the code of LO and there is the new linestyle which sort of wraps this issue. Also developers obviously got used to it, so if you close with wont fix, I don't mind. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71941] LO uses formatting from adjacent cell when it should not
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71941 --- Comment #5 from Aprax r...@jwcca.com --- The fix, to untick, is not intuitive, very not intuitive, it's buried so deep in the config. It definitely should be unticked by default. It may be useful for some people but really I can't think of any time when I'd want that. If I insert new columns, I format them myself if they need to be. I don't want the program to assume the new column has the same characteristics as the one to the left. Example: I have two 'time' columns followed by a text column and decide to insert a column to calculate the number of days between two 'date' columns elsewhere, the new column should be 'number' but extended formatting makes it 'time'. Which has to be changed either way, but is frustrating when it's initially made 'time'. I guess the 'fix' is to change the default for brand new installs but what about us folks that 'update over' existing config that has this ticked? It's definitely a PITA, confusing at least, and if everybody has to 'report a bug' to find this answer, that's a lot of time wasted. If this config was added as a new 'feature' and defaulted to ticked, that was a mistake, and one with serious consequences to the reputation of the product. Any new feature needs to be tested in the context of the number of users that will benefit from and want and understand it. My reaction was that 'someone broke LO Calc' (and I muttered a few words that I won't repeat :) How could this be 'fixed' for the unwashed masses that have this ticked but don't have any idea why their lovable LO is now their unlovable LO? The Status option NOTABUG should be changed to BIGBOOBOOSORRY :) J -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67527] FILEOPEN: LO can't open files over SMB - wants to repair!
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67527 --- Comment #39 from Maxim momonas...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #37) @Stephan Bergmann: I found what causes the problem with the official build: Looking at the strace output showed that libORBit-2.so.0 can't be found. So I did 'sudo yum install ORBit2' and now it works! I can confirm the same for Ubuntu 13.10 (64-bit). Installing 'liborbit2' package solves the problem. But unfortunately it still won't work under KDE, unless exporting 'OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome'. That is: Running 'soffice smb://some_ip/share/document.odt' under KDE doesn't work, but 'OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome soffice smb://some_ip/share/document.odt' does work. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57204] INDIRECT function changed but not documented in online HELP
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57204 --- Comment #1 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com --- Created attachment 89711 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=89711action=edit Pair of linked ODS with screenshots showing results under v3304 to v4132. There does indeed appear to be a problem with the indicated help page not being as clear as it could. The indicated help page was last updated 2012-09-14, which is prior to this bug being reported (2012-11-16), so the presently displayed information is evidently indicative of the problem. In fact, since the earliest version of this page (2010-12-06) no revision has ever altered the section dealing with the INDIRECT() function. The information on this page appears to be inaccurate with respect to Excel notation used to refer to filename+sheet+cell. This is the key problem statement that causes confusion: the Excel address in INDIRECT(filename!sheetnameB1) is not converted into the Calc address in INDIRECT(filename.sheetnameB1). I am not sure why the double quotation marks are used where they are on the help page. I think they should be used around the entire expression in brackets, with single quote marks around the filename. In the Calc Guide v3.4, p.250 indicates the general format for a reference as: ='file:///Path File Name'#$SheetName.CellName The single quotes only ever go around the filename and not filename+sheet, so this would seem to be one area where the help page examples are wrong. This is contrary to the provided example =INDIRECT('[$C464.ods]Sheet1'!$Z$5) which perhaps should instead be =INDIRECT('[$C464.ods]'Sheet1!$Z$5) but this remains unclear. In the initial report there is also a reference to a filename in cell C464 and then in cell D464 a HYPERLINK() function references C464. All three INDIRECT() function examples however then refer to C464. I initially thought this should be D464, but I now understand C464 to contain Sales_WE20121118 while D464 contains the full filename Sales_WE20121118.ods. The original report stated that C464 contained the full filename, but this cannot be right given the extensions (.ods) used in the INDIRECT() functions. With this in mind I think I have accurately prepared an example (Sales_WE20121118.ods and Sales_total_v3304.ods) under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 using v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6 (refer attached). In the example there are separate rows showing use of the filename without extension and with extension. In each row I have labelled the several different forms of filename+sheet+cell referencing used in the INDIRECT() function as: 1. '[f]s'!ci.e., =INDIRECT('[filename]sheet'!cell) erroneous test case, brackets and wrong placement of single quote marks 2. 'f!s'c i.e., =INDIRECT('filename!sheet'cell) help page Excel notation, wrong placement of single quote marks 3. 'f'!sc i.e., =INDIRECT('filename'!sheetcell) adaptation of (2), correct placement of single quote marks (but wrong) 4. 'f.s'c i.e., =INDIRECT('filename.sheet'cell) help page ODF notation, wrong placement of single quote marks 5. 'f'.sc i.e., =INDIRECT('filename'.sheetcell) help page ODF notation, correct placement of single quote marks (but wrong) 6. 'f#$s'.ci.e., =INDIRECT('filename#$sheet'.cell) Calc Guide v3.4 notation, wrong placement of single quote marks 7. 'f'#$s.ci.e., =INDIRECT('filename'#$sheet.cell) Calc Guide v3.4 notation, correct placement of single quote marks 8. 'p/f#$s'.c i.e., =INDIRECT('/path/to/filename#$sheet'.cell) Calc Guide v3.4 notation, wrong placement of single quote marks 9. 'p/f'#$s.c i.e., =INDIRECT('/path/to/filename'#$sheet.cell) Calc Guide v3.4 notation, correct placement of single quote marks Basically, only (7) and (9) are expected to work, although (1) is also reported as initially working. I opened the Sales_total spreadsheet under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running these LO versions: - v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6 - v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602 - v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b - v3.6.7.2 Build ID: e183d5b - v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24 - v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a The attached screenshots indicate that cases (1), (7), and (9) do indeed display the expected result under v3.3.0.4 through v3.5.7.2. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67698 --- Comment #2 from bugquestcon...@online.de --- As I don't run MSO anymore I can't compare and comment on MSO Word. My point is that in Writer selecting WebLayout view is the only way to get rid of larger white, textless areas in a writer document 's screen, but have the entire screen to see the text. (Print Layout is important but not when one just needs to write or correct text.) Therefore it would be good if in the WebLayout view the position of the cursor would be shown using the number of pages as if it would be PrintLayout. Otherwise the writer of the text has no direct information on how the text is.
