Hi,

We have a strange Silverstripe issue.

Today i figured that our Contact page with url
https://tr.libreoffice.org/iletisim/ was showing the content of get-help page
http://tr.libreoffice.org/get-help/. I investigated the matter from admin
dashboard, and no changes were there. Saved the İletişim(Contact) page and
problem was solved.

However i just see that another page Belgelendirme(Documentation) with url
https://tr.libreoffice.org/belgelendirme/ is showing the homepage of
https://tr.libreoffice.org/home/

I'm leaving the page unchanged for your investigation.

Best regards,

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: olav.seyfa...@web.de
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.3.2 release

'Whitened' first slide of a presentation (with title, a picture of mine, etc.)
as it is displayed on my external LCD monitor (2560x1440 pixel).

Problem description:

Presenting a presentation an my external monitor yields mostly white screen.
See screenshot.

Steps to reproduce:
1. create or open any .odp
2. put some content on the slide
3. start presentation

Current behavior:

On a small screen / my laptop builtin screen all is fine.
Closing the laptop lid (so there's only my external monitor and display is
switched to it), picture gets whitened as in screenshot. Reopening lid
(switching back to laptop only) yields a complete white screen. Pressing ESC
closes presentation - edit mode is displayed correctly. Pressing F5 again
yields correct presentation (on the small screen).

Dual screen CLONING works 'fine' (low resolution of small screen).

Dual screen EXTEND works fine if the SMALL screen is used for the actual
presentation (the big screen displays the presenter screen including preview
and annotations correctly!). If the big screen is used for presentation, there
is the whitened screen as shown in the screenshot.

Expected behavior:

Presentation should display correctly, even on a big screen.

Workaround:

Disabling Hardware accelleration resolves the issue, but I want to use it since
the rendering quality is much better.

Notes:

Powerpoint 2010 and 2013 work correctly on the same hardware.
Operating System: Windows 8
Version: 4.1.3.2 release

After opening a testdocument with tables in LO 4.1.3 Writer, the width of the
colums is changed compared to the original document.

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Open testdocument.docx an MS Office 2007 or 2010 and go to page 3. It has
two tables. The column width is the same in both tables.
(2) Open the test document in LibreOffice 4.1.3, go to page 3 and check the
tables. The upper table is broader because it has wider columns.

See also the vertical green lines in Table_original.jpg and the vertical red
lines in Table_wider_columns.jpg.

TESTING with LO 4.2.0.0.beta2 + Ubuntu 12.04.3 x86_64 + FF25

Is there a reason we need so many different attachments? One is called
Animated gif not working in Impress, but lists a MIMEtype of image/png.

Here's how I tested each GIF:

STEPS:
- Open GIF in browser and confirm animation
- Open LO Impress, Insert - Image - From File ( GIF file ), and check
animation

Running some tests:

For each attachment:
- 'rugby3.gif' looks the same in both FF and LO
- 'soccer_player_animated.gif' same in both
- 'Animated gif not working in Impress' is a PNG
- 'another gif that is not displaying correctly' (metamorp.gif) - same in both
- 'Animated gif that does not work in libreoffice 3.5.7.2'
(01-animated-small.gif) - same in both

(In reply to comment #15)
This may be a problem with 64bit version. I created a slideshow using 32bit
version of OpenOffice which displays all animated gifs fine. However,
opening same .odp file in LibreOffice on 64bit Ubuntu results in many of the
 gifs being corrupted.

I'm testing with a 64bit build of LO here...

(In reply to comment #44)
 (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=57174) it shows only empty
area (deginning) and the final screen of the animated gif.

GIF animates fine in LO.

 For this
 (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=67085) I see white sheet
music notes on black flickering background, but there should be colourous
 musical notes on white background.

I see colored notes on a white background.

spreadsheet that will crash on filesave after modifying one cell content

Hello,

OS : Windows Vista Pro 32bits + SP2
on 4.0.6.2 at work, I switched to 4.1.3.2 (release) (through software removal
and then installing the new version). I then had to go back to previous version
because calc would systematically crash on filesave with certain files, which
is a blocker for me.

With the file attached (no confidential job data in it) I could reproduce the
bug easily :
* I open the file with calc 4.1.3.2
* I enter a 1 in the J182 cell on the first sheet from the left (congés)
* I then try to save the file
* I see the progress bar and suddenly calc crashes.

This does not happen with v4.0.6.2.

I don't know if it can be related to bug #71847.

Thanks,

Chris

Have you tried with a clean user profile?

Steps to reproduce (or open the attached bugdoc):

opened doc

current behavior: the legend is hidden
expected behavior: the legend is visible

Open the file saved at step 5 with LibreOffice 4.1 and note that the legend
 is visible.

NOREPRO verified with LO 4.1.2.2

In 4.2 version, add transparency to the legend area: the legend becomes
 visible.

Confirmed

The good news is that there is no dataloss, however set the severity to
major because uninformed user may believe that her data are corrupted.

Sounds good to me.

All problematic gifs are still problematic (not showing as supposed) for me
 in Ubuntu 13.04, 32 bit LO 4.0.6.

Hi Andis,

LO 4.0.6 has been End of Lifed (EOL):
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan#4.0_release

Could you please update to a modern version of LibreOffice (such as 4.1.3 or
4.2.0.0.beta2) and see if you can still repro these results?

Thanks!

   What|Removed |Added

   Hardware|Other |All
 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW
Version|3.6.1.2 release |Inherited From OOo
 Ever confirmed|0 |1

--- Comment #1 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com ---
Due to these findings I am confirming this bug, even if only to get a developer
to examine the styles in order to determine what should be getting set in the
CSS of the HTML for the two filters in question. Status set to NEW. Version set
to Inherited From OOo as v3304 through v4132 all exhibit the same problem with
the centred+orange list item text for the provided example. Platform set to
All/All. Test results to be attached in a following comment.

It is worth noting that the provided ODT in comment #0 has apparently been
converted from a Word document and so may not be the best test (or it may be a
very good one, depending on viewpoint). The embedded graphic is a Microsoft
Visio diagram. The ODT (content.xml) contains:

 style:style style:name=P1 style:family=paragraph
 style:parent-style-name=Standard style:list-style-name=WW8Num26/
 ...
 text:list xml:id=list36587887 text:style-name=WW8Num26
text:list-item
   text:p text:style-name=P1Mobile A starts a new GPRS session/text:p
/text:list-item
 ...

... and (styles.xml):

 style:style style:name=Text_20_body style:display-name=Text body
 style:family=paragraph style:parent-style-name=Standard
 style:class=text
style:paragraph-properties fo:margin=100% fo:margin-left=0cm

 style:auto-text-indent=false style:text-autospace=none/
style:text-properties fo:color=#ff9900 style:font-name=Courier New
 fo:font-weight=bold style:font-weight-asian=bold
 style:font-name-complex=Courier New style:font-weight-complex=bold/

   /style:list-level-properties
/text:list-level-style-number
text:list-level-style-number text:level=2 style:num-suffix=.
 style:num-format=a style:num-letter-sync=true
   style:list-level-properties

 fo:text-indent=-0.635cm fo:margin-left=2.54cm/
   /style:list-level-properties/text:list-level-style-number
 ...

Note that the Text body style is set to use the #ff9900 colour. This could be
the reason for the orange list item text, which I can confirmed as being
converted in this manner under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running:

- v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6
- v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602
- v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b
- v3.6.7.2 Build ID: e183d5b
- v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24
- v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a

Examples of commands used for testing conversion (original ODT renamed to a.odt
for convenience):

$ soffice --headless --convert-to html:HTML (StarWriter) --outdir
HTML_StarWriter/v4132/ a.odt

... and:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72320] EDITING: Image disappears after rotation

I've checked with Power Point.
The original image is a pdf screenshot (therefore a bitmap). However the same
error happens also when I try to paste polygons etc from pp.

When I try to paste this images in a bitmap format nothing happens in LO.
When I try to paste as metafile I see the image pasted correctly but I get the
rotation error. It disappears only if I convert the image in LO in bitmap.
However, the image quality decreases sensibly.

 CC||khaledho...@eglug.org

--- Comment #12 from Khaled Hosny khaledho...@eglug.org ---
This is an old bug that got exposed by recent changes in the underlying layout
code.

Basically what is happening is that when we are exporting to tagged PDF, U+00AD
(soft hyphen) is used as hyphen character (probably to allow for text re-flow)
but this is wrong since U+00AD is a control character and should not have any
visible output as it sole purpose it to indicate possible hyphenation point.
Our new (more Unicode complaint) layout engine strips such control character
and replaces them with a zero width space, the old engine did not do this and
it worked to some degree (as long as the font has a visible glyph in that
position, which most fonts do, but there is no requirement to do that).

I need to find what is the proper way to tag and automatically inserted hyphen
in tagged PDF and implement that, so I appreciative if any one can research
this.

ODT and example X/HTML output under v3304 and v4132.

I think this bug can be RESOLVED as NOTABUG. At the very least this bug would
need to be changed to an enhancement request as it is asking for a new option
that has never existed. There are separate filters for converting a file opened
in Writer to HTML in such a way as to embed or link any included graphics:

- File Export select File Type of XHTML will embed the graphics.
- File Save As... select File Type of HTML Document will link the
graphics.

These two filters can be used via the command line as:

$ soffice --headless --convert-to html:HTML (StarWriter) file_to_convert.odt
$ soffice --headless --convert-to html:XHTML Writer File file_to_convert.odt

I have tested this functionality under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running:

- v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6
- v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a

... indicating it has always been this way. The problem indicated by comment #2
is a completely separate issue that is raised (using the same attachment) in
bug 54315.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72125] Expert config dialog takes too much time to come up

2013-12-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72125

--- Comment #3 from Noel Grandin noelgran...@gmail.com ---
I've done some basic analysis of this, but I find KCacheGrind hard to follow,
so take this with a pinch of salt:

My preliminary conclusion is that SvTreeListBox is simply not designed for this
number of elements.

It appears to be doing a calculation of item height for every single item
inserted, which is generating a ton of calls down into the text layout
subsystem, which is adding up to a lot of time.

A stripped down stack trace looks like:

SvxJavaOptionsPage::ExpertConfigHdl_Impl
-CuiAboutConfigTabPage::Reset
-CuiAboutConfigTabPage::FillItems
-CuiAboutConfigTabPage::InsertEntry
-SvHeaderTabListBox::Insert
-SvTreeListBox::Insert
-SvListView::ModelNotification
-SvTreeListBox::InitViewData
-SvLBoxString::InitViewData
-OutputDevice::GetTextWidth

Other ListBox implementations handle this one of two ways:
(a) the client code explicitly specify the row height, and the ListBox just
uses that number, not calling any text layout
(b) the ListBox assumes that all rows are the same height and only calls layout
for the first row.

I can confirm the behaviour described on W7

Embedding fonts makes loading time greater and greater while using the doc.
Finally the loading time can take 5 min (SSD)

I did have curious things also, such as different styles (the styles on the
writer document was not what it is defined to be) for all doc. closing LO and
launching LO again with a doc that don't any font embedded and all works fine.

Bug ID: 72394

Summary: Program freezes when saving any change in Preferences
(Options)
  Severity: critical
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
  Reporter: it...@italovignoli.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: NEW
   Version: 4.2.0.0.beta2
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

LibreOffice 4.2 Beta 2 for MacOS X 10.9 freezes when saving any change in the
Preferences (Options) windows. The problem happens with 32 and 64 bit versions,
and you have to kill the program using Force Quit. Tested on two different
MacBook, with different processors.
To reproduce, launch LibreOffice, open a document (even a new one), open the
Preference window, change one of the options in one of the panels (I tried with
several combinations), hit Save to apply the change. The cursor does not change
shape for a few seconds, then changes to the multi-colour wheel and stays as
such forever (until you force quit the program).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62104] thumbnail should use a file format with indexed colours

2013-12-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62104

--- Comment #1 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com ---
Created attachment 90358
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90358action=edit
ODTs, JPEG graphic, and some thumbnails showing size difference.

The main graphic in the attached testkit uses this source image:

http://vrroom.naa.gov.au/Images/Certificate%20exempting%20from%20dictation%20test%20%28CEDT%291_1591944_tcm11-17598.jpg

ODT file names indicate the version of LO used to create the document under
Ubuntu 10.04 running:

- v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6
- v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602
- v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b
- v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a

Thumbnail generation under v3.3 and v3.4 series is flawed - the original image
inserted into the document is not scaled correctly. The thumbnails generated by
v3.5.7.2 and v4.1.3.2 are included separately for comparison. The palette
version of each is created via ImageMagick:

$ convert thumbnail_v3572.png -type Palette thumbnail_v3572_palette.png

This is equivalent to converting to PNG8 (the 256 colour GIF equivalent) and
results in a thumbnail ~40% the size of the original thumbnail PNG. This is
slightly smaller than the corresponding PNG - GIF conversion using the same
tool.

Other ListBox implementations handle this one of two ways:
 (a) the client code explicitly specify the row height, and the ListBox just
uses that number, not calling any text layout
 (b) the ListBox assumes that all rows are the same height and only calls
 layout for the first row.

Matches my earlier poking. Can we not stick an extra flag to the
TreeList, forcing one of the above behaviours?

Document made in 2010 with an old OpenOffice version

Sample document made in 2010 with an old version of OpenOffice. Old behavior
is kept even if opened with a new LibreOffice version. You can notice that,
with the old behavior, it is possible to have zero indent on the right side
of the second picture, just some spacing around the picture, even if the
paragraph style has before text indent.

Lib0 4.2.0.0 beta2 on Win7 :

Please pay attention to the Wrap attribute of the frame encapsulating the image
and its title :
- it is Page Wrap in the document you submit, hence the right old
behaviour,
- should you change it to Optimal Page Wrap, it falls into the behaviour you
contest,
- so IMHO all is perfectly correct in LibO, we have the features to get both
behaviour, both in a straightforward way.

Have you tried with a clean user profile?

Hi Cor,
thanks for your interest.

I took my work laptop to home for the week-end, to be able to do some tests.

I've removed 4.0.2 and installed back 4.1.3.2 (using it in French, along with
the 4.1.3 helppack_fr).

I've first checked the file : first time, it did not crash on saving. Then
after closing it and re-opening it, it then crashed on saving it. Doing copies
of the file, working on them : a few times it did not crash on the first
edition, I had to close the file and re-open it to get the bug to appear. But
once it has crashed once, it seems to crash systematically.

I've tried with a clean user profile as you've asked (moving
%appdata%/Roaming/LibreOffice/4/user to user-old). On launching LibreOffice the
folder was re-created.
The bug is still present with the new profile.

I will join the new version (travail2.ods) of the file I used to do these
tests.

I've changed the status of the bug back to unconfirmed, as what's seems logic
to me (needinfo - I give info - unconfirmed - another cycle). Sorry if
that's not what should be done, that's my first bug filing on this platform and
I've not found help on the needinfo tag in the bugzilla user's guide on the
site.

Hi kanyi,

please create a simple database which shows the buggy behavior. A database-file
without any database-table wouldn't work. Nobody could confirm the bug with
such a database-file.
I have tested LO 4.2.0.0.beta2 with a database added here:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=90113
All reports of the database work with my system:
OpenSUSE 12.3, 64bit rpm Linux.

Regards

Robert

Hi Jérôme, I can't reproduce, with the Down arrow key, the cursor moves from A1
to A2 to A3, if this is the end of the column, then jump to B1, etc. If in B3 I
hit the Up arrow key, it moves to B2 then B1, then A3. So works as expeted for
me.
