This is prevented and LibreOffice fails with: The application can not be started. I think this points to the bug being in a dynamically loaded library used by LibreOffice. I have in the meantime upgraded some packages, some of them to versions from deb-multimedia.org... I will try to narrow this down more. There is an Integer-field for the primary-key. Then I put values in the table through JDBC. When I try the same with ODBC through the GUI an error occurs: validation error for column ID, value ***null***. When I try it with the same connection with Tools → SQL it works. So this is an error produced from LO, not from ODBC. To normalize, you should select all and apply Remove Space After the Paragraphs in Words Paragraph ribbon. When saving in doc. format everything seems smooth and same. I have prepared a simple test file. And screenshoot.(doc vs docx in MS Office) Probably this issue is submitted before but i couldn't find the similar bug via search or suggestion.
