Draw a freeform line on a slide in Impress. - Open new presentation - On the Drawing bar, click the drop-down arrow next to the Curve icon, and select Freeform Line - Draw a forward slash / across the slide 2. Optional: add a custom animation (appear, for example) to the new freeform shape. As it's optional, I'll skip this step. 3. Save the file as a PPT and close. Saving as Microsoft Powerpoint 97/2000/XP/2003 (.ppt) 4. Open the PPT file again. Current behavior: Freeform line disappears. Other shapes may or may not persist. Confirmed. If I repeat the test and save to ODF instead, the line remains after closing and re-opening the document. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Sugegsted FULL DESCRIPTION: The default is activated by enabling spellcheck in some viewing modes including WRITER Web View and CALC. It changes the displayed text length upon various unindentified parameters including text content and displayed font. Suggested COMMENT: The cursor stays at the same place as it would be with spellchech dis-activated, and is therefore not alligned with displayed text insert point when the bug is active. For this reason the bug is sometimes refered as faulty cursor. Truth is, it is a text display bug. Enabling spellcheck should NOT change text layout. We suspect a letter spacing rounding error. The most important functional requirement is interoperability. Findings: - When opening and saving a .doc document in libreoffice and opening in word 2003 again results in loss of all styles. - Same but saving as word 2010 .docx results in unable to open in word. - Same when saving in openxml docx Peter, Thanks for the bug report! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72745] EDITING: pictures in documents
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72745 Qubit qu...@runcibility.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||qu...@runcibility.com --- Comment #1 from Qubit qu...@runcibility.com --- (In reply to comment #0) This looks to me like a software design issue. (1) When you write a document, copying a picture from another source and then pasting into a document, there are times that the Writer hangs. I think its a memory allocation issue? Do you think you could come up with some steps to reproduce the bug? I often paste pictures into Writer, but if there are some specific steps that seem to trigger the problem, the devs would love to have them documented here :-) (2) Another related problem is: I write a document with travel info for myself and then I paste a photo of a building in the document. The link gets pasted, so next time I open it, the link does not get resolved, because of the network disconnection. There should be a way to have a paste option: the link, or the photo object itself, or a local link to the document's current directory. If you think in terms of Microsoft's OLE then this requires some design issues: (a) how to move / print / save a document with linked objects (b) to give options, when pasting a picture object. You might be running into this bug: Bug 52547 - New Firefox image clipboard causes paste as link in LibreOffice - paste directly is preferred ..or something similar. You may also explicitly choose to insert an image by link or directly into the document: https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Inserting_Pictures I love Libre Office. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60232] Possibility to update bibliography references from bibliography database
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60232 --- Comment #5 from Jorendc jore...@libreoffice.org --- As far I understand the code, and what also is mentioned in the Apache bug: there is no link between the reference field and bibliography database. While selecting from bibliography database when creating a new reference field (insert indexes and tables Bibliography entry...), the entry selector is pulled from the bibliography database over here: http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/ui/index/swuiidxmrk.cxx#1331 Since there is no unique ID, there is no link between the reference and the database, once inserted into the document. Conclusion: there has to be an _hidden_ unique key. Hidden because users may not change this unique key manually (and thus break the linkage). To prevent automatically updating for certain entries, a checkbox needs to be introduced. Probably a part of this code http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/ui/fldui/fldmgr.cxx#1528 can be re-used, to update the field. This code is currently used to modify the reference field (http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/ui/index/swuiidxmrk.cxx#1278) when you manually edit the reference data inside your document (double click on the field - edit).
