[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 73270] FILESAVE: images lost after saving to new file name and saving again

It seems that everytime I simplify an affected document and save it again, that document is then stable, that is, I cannot reproduce the issue on it any more. I even created a Lorem ipsum document with 100 pages and 200 image, but again I could not reproduce the issue on it. --- There is, however two details about the issue that I can share: On the first document where the error occurs (a custom genealogy report generated by the open source GRAMPS application), the corrupted file consistently ends up at 30MB instead of the 50MB of the initial file. There is no obvious rule as to which images get lost, as far as I can tell. The corrupted file has only 178 images (instead of the inital 193 images) in its pictures subdirectory, and I can give you a typical before-after section of the content.xml: Before (correct): - draw:frame draw:style-name=fr4 draw:name=MYIMAGE_JPG text:anchor-type=paragraph svg:y=0cm svg:width=3.11cm svg:height=4.001cm draw:z-index=1 draw:image xlink:href=Pictures/12BC03848D4E4622.jpg xlink:type=simple xlink:show=embed xlink:actuate=onLoad//draw:frame /text:p/table:table-cell/table:table-row/table:table/table:table-cell/table:table-row - After: - draw:frame draw:style-name=fr4 draw:name=MYIMAGE_JPG text:anchor-type=paragraph svg:y=0cm svg:width=3.11cm svg:height=4.001cm draw:z-index=3 draw:image//draw:frame /text:p/table:table-cell/table:table-row/table:table/table:table-cell/table:table-row - (Note that I replaced the filename with MYIMAGE for privacy reasons.) As you can see, the xlink:href has been removed and only a draw:image/ tag remains of the image. This is an identical effect as described in bug 52638, comment 12. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 73273] presenter console: slide transition jumpy
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73273 --- Comment #2 from Stephan Weinberger invisi...@xover.mud.at --- Updated LO to 4.1.4.2 from debian wheezy-backports - same behaviour. (Is the presenter console now built-in? it doesn't show up in the Extensions Manager anymore. How can i make sure I'm not somehow using the previsouly installed extension?) Another weird detail: When I open the slides overview dialog in the presenter console and scroll around there (resulting in slide previews being loaded) this does *not* interfere with the animations (although in this dialog the programm has to load not only one but several slide previews at once; so i guess i can rule out general performance issues with my laptop). It really seems to be the one preview in the presenter console's main screen that causes the hickup. Hi, I've tested it in 4.2.0.1 (64 bit ubuntu). Meanwhile, I've installed also the Czech and German version and tested them too. They behave exactly the same. For example, in German, if Extended tips is checked, all document thumbnails and the also the Hilfe and Extensions buttons show this tooltip: Klicken Sie ein Symbol ein, um ein Neues Dokument..., which is nonsense - this text does not have anything to do with those buttons. In English, no tooltips show at all (which I find to be a bug, too), but those, which are displayed in other languages, are translation of Click an icon to open a new document... I guess that the mechanism which assigns the extended tooltips does not work well, since they display differently in English vs. other languages: Button tooltips: English: none Other languages: incorrect tooltips File thumbnails: English: file path (perhaps this is the right thing) Other languages: meaningless tooltip text __ Milos -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70637 --- Comment #11 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- (In reply to comment #10) (In reply to comment #9) [...] Currently on StartCenter F10 toggles from File on Menu - Open File on the StartCenter GTKbox. What do you mean by Currently ? The StartCenter in LO 4.2 in its current state or the StartCenter in the current stable version (4.1)? When building LibreOffice 4.2 on Ubuntu / Unity, F6 and F10 do nothing (for me) in the StartCenter. Working in both Windows, and Linux (Fedora 19 w/GNOME DTE) with both LibreOffice 4.2.0 rc1+ TB builds and current TB builds of master. Don't normally look at the 4.1 builds. F10 and F6 now have their default behavior and toggle between the Main Menu (File dropdown) and the Open File GtkButton of the Start Center. Land on the Open File button, issue a ShiftTAB to position backwards onto the Recently Used Documents thumbnail view list. There, with current builds of 4.2.0 and master, the F10 now correctly toggles between the main menu and the thumbnail view list. And cursor movement and selection with enter key works correctly. I still believe refactoring the GTK UI to recognize the GtkBox elements for F6 landings the recent documents would improve the UX. At this point with 4.2.0 rc1+ and master--the only F6 landings are the main menu and the File Open GtkButton of the StartCenter--and either a single ShiftTAB, or 10 TABs is needed to reach the recent documents list. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Another thing I did in the course of trying to run this down was add a Statement sized paper definition to the printer PPD file. I don't know what the equivalent in Windows would be, but in Linux this seemed to solve the problem of LO guessing at the size you were intending. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48775 cle...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|NEW --- Comment #32 from cle...@gmail.com --- I just tried to reproduce this with Version: 4.2.0.1 / Build ID: 7bf567613a536ded11709b952950c9e8f7181a4a (on Windows 7) This bug should be now avoided since windows installation was changed to automatically install all parts of LibreOffice (including the Base module, which is needed for the bibliography database) (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.2#Installer ) I installed 4.2.0.1 over the older version (I think it was 4.1.2.3) and the base module was not installed (no File-New-Database menu entry, crash was reproducible). The bug was however resolved after I deinstalled the older LibreOffice, then reinstalled 4.2.0.1 instead of merely upgrading (Base is then installed). For this reason I'm changing the status from NEEDINFO to NEW since imo either during upgrade setup needs to make sure base is installed even when it wasn't before or to make this explicit in the documentation.
