Well, that's weird.

1/ Can you please, given the steps I provided above, create a new ODS file at
your end and test with both LO releases (4.1.x and 4.2.x)?

2/ Is there any chance to get formatted data inside the text:p tag in
content.xml instead raw data ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76428] New: Enhancement : Help file needs to have improved or needs to get a good explanation for page layout change horizontal vertical to V

2014-03-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76428

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 76428
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Enhancement : Help file needs to have improved or
needs to get a good explanation for page layout change
horizontal vertical to V
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: bugquestcon...@online.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.5.3 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Although did before a change of the page layout within one Writer document from
vertical to horizontal, and back to vertical, I could not find the information
in the help file.

The help file needs to get the information:

Change from vertical page layout to horizontal page layout within one document:
Create a horizontal page layout in Styles and Formatting Page
Next insert manual break with format change
Insert Manual break page break and select Style: select the page style name
created before for the horizontal page format.
(The style used above might no be matching the Help file style.)

Should this explanation be in the Help file, then the search with keywords
needs to be improved. eg. horizontal page layout, horizontal page, change
vertical to horizontal, vertical to horizontal, etc should lead to the
above sketch text.

How hard can it be :)

(In the fist paragraph on that page, select Format, Paragraph .. Text Flow and

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76431] New: EDITING: computed cells content not refreshed when changing source values

Bug ID: 76431

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: nathael.paj...@ed3l.fr
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.5.3 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 96145
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=96145action=edit
The file with the bug.

Hi,

I have some computed cells content which is not refreshed when changing source
values, even when using F9 or the Tools-Cell content menu.
Automatic computing is checked, and checking/unchecking it does not fix the
problem.

Formula is =Bilan.D57
Same formula in another cell gives the right result (copy of source cell)
Even when using copy paste of formula from cell where it's not working.

This happens only when the value in the source cell (Bilan.D57) is modified due
to changes in the current sheet, and I made no changes in other sheets since
opening the document.
Value in cell Bilan.D57 is a computed value and is OK when I go to sheet
Bilan.

The value is not updated if I switch to another sheet and come back with no
modifications made on the other sheet.
If I do so, the value is updated on the next modification on current sheet.

The value is updated again as soon as I make a modification in another sheet
which changes the source cell value (Bilan.D57), you can try for example
Mars.P17

Cell with the problem is 'Compte ED3L'.H3
In the attached file it displays 0,00 while Bilan.D57 is 1986,17
In the attached file you can modify cells in sheet 'Compte ED3L' collumns E and
F, these should modify the amount in H3
It changes the amount in Bilan.D57 but not in H3 of current sheet.

Thanks.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76440] New: COUNTIF broken when applied on database ranges imported from registered source

2014-03-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76440

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 76440
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: COUNTIF broken when applied on database ranges
imported from registered source
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: jm.zam...@scarlet.be
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.2.1 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

To reproduce:
1. Import a set of data from Bibliography source using datasource panel (F4).
2. A database range is created, called something like Import1
3. Insert a simple COUNTIF formula pointing to that database range (f.ex.
COUNTIF($A$1:$A$10;A1) if first cell of range is A1)

Result:
COUNTIF return 0 in all cases

Notes:
1. If the cell pointed by the condition argument af the COUNTIF formula is
edited, then correct value is then displayed correctly.
If you refresh de database range, then the value displayed after edition is
reset to 0.
2. All works correctly if the condition argument is a regular expression.

Context:
- LibO : 4.2.0.4 and 4.2.2.1 releases
- OS : Windows XP and Windows 7

20:00 appears in cell and 01:20:00 AM appears in input box

tried various combos of reformating, retyping, editing contents, no luck. Just
checked - typing in 00:01:20 works, apparently format defaults to HH:MM:SS

I've had the same problem but it was not consistent. Now I make notes on the
sheet saying what the numbers actually mean.

It is perhaps fine to see, however, I would expect to see whatever format I set
not some default US format not matter how fine it is. I sometimes wonder
whether US natives are aware that there is a world outside of US :-).

multiple.operations is not working for long calculations. Only the very first

Consequently, all results are the same.
This appears to happen when more then 393 rows in the attached example are

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76448] New: 4.2 new feature group policy (GPO) missing adm(x) file

2014-03-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Summary: 4.2 new feature group policy (GPO) missing adm(x) file
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: n...@debian.org
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.2.1 release
 Component: Documentation
   Product: LibreOffice

Hello,

version 4.2 has the cool new feature of group policy object support (GPO) for
Windows systems in an active directory (AD) which is described here
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.2#Options_.2F_General

To use this feature you need to know all the registry keys and for this the
software should bring an admx (new) or adm (classic). file
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administrative_Template

I'm not able to find such a admx or adm file.:(
Just some other requests for it:

http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/29668/setting-up-libreoffice-42s-new-group-policy-management/
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/foren/S-Re-Wo-gibts-die-ADM-X-Dateien/forum-273968/msg-24722099/read/showthread-1/

On page 8+9 of this presentation (found by startpage.com) you see there is a
adm file in use but no contact:
http://libreoffice.hu/files/2014/02/Andras_Timar_LibO_Central_Config_Management.pdf
https://fosdem.org/2014/schedule/event/central_configuration_management_of_large_libreoffice_deployments/

Can the ADMX or ADM file be made public to make this libreoffice GPO feature
available and/or added to the wiki?

Thanks alot.

Regards

Noël

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76446] FILEOPEN: DOCX: incorrect rotation of VML shapes

2014-03-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76446

--- Comment #2 from Jacobo Aragunde Pérez jaragu...@igalia.com ---
I opened the document with Word 2007 (which uses VML for the shapes) and the UI
says the shape rotation value is 329. The rotation value inside the document
is: rotation:-2050306fd

I did some changes to the document and saved it again. The newly generated
document says: rotation:329

The fd modifier is the key but I don't know what it means and I find no
examples nor references in the VML definition. 2.050306 radians are 117.47
degrees, which is a similar angle...

I think I generated this document with Office 2007, which usually saves the
rotation in degrees, so this is a bit weird :P

I'm not sure but your problem may be because of section 1 being a subsection of
section 3 that places a not visible space on the page and makes the table flow
for you. Also the even distribution between columns may cause the flow of the
two columns in section 3. Section 2 seems to have no influence and to be not
useful too.
So nobody could reproduce - set as worksforme - Sophie

not reproducible here, see bug #76451 and #76452 - I took a relatively large
upload with chromium, and a small png with firefox, but no problem in either
case.

Maybe people are too impatient and click submit multiple times before the
upload/submit is complete?

If this is still reproducible (and not due some hiccup on fdo's side): Please
state the browser that was used, and what kind of file you're trying to
upload/what size does it have, etc.

I don't see anything obviously wrong with the setup, and for me it works, so I
suspect it is either some FDO problem/short outage or some browser quirk...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48887] Export to HTML in Writer should not embed images FILESAVE

2014-03-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48887

I agree to Antonio and Owen Genat. It is not any longer possible to create
simple html with pictures linked in 4.2

Furthermore, and much important, html files with images saved in lo 4.2 writer
don't open anymore in lo. lo crashes if you try to do.

That means, you can open them in a browser (slowly) but if you wan't to change
the code of the html file you must use another text editor.

For my opinion, it should be restored as it was until 4.1 and as Owen Genat
says:

- File Export select File Type of XHTML will embed the graphics.
- File Save As... select File Type of HTML Document will link the
graphics.

The attached document contains three custom shapes. The left example has the
default settings. The middle example is rotated by 90°, the text remains in the
default orientation. The right example is rotated by 90° and in addition the
whole text is rotated by 270°, which is one of the settings in Excel. All angle
values are those from the UI. I have not looked, whether they are different in
file format.
The file contains in addition a screenshot from the view in Excel 2010.

Open the file. Notice, that the rotated shapes are wrong.

Notice, that for a draw:custom-shape the draw:enhanced-geometry has an
attribute draw:text-rotate-angle, which would be responsible for the text
rotation. The shape rotation is done by a transformation.

This is for the master branch only.

In Calc, go to

Format - Print Ranges - Edit

to launch the dialog. Those 3 range picker buttons on the right hand side are
squashed, and widening the dialog won't change it. Even extending the dialog
to the right to make it wider will not make those buttons unsquashed.

I'll attach a screenshot shortly.

I wonder if the problem is related to the memory options in use. What settings
are you using for the Graphics Cache? The memory and how long the images are
stored in memory. Just a thought.. Peter

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76459] New: Mix-up of Stable 4.2.2 Mac OS with Windows 4.2.2!

2014-03-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76459

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 76459
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Mix-up of Stable 4.2.2 Mac OS with Windows 4.2.2!
  Severity: critical
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
  Reporter: micmon...@aol.com
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Installation
   Product: LibreOffice

HI! I use Mac OS 10.7 Intel w/plenty of memory HD space. I currently use MAC
LibreOffice 4.1.4.2. Using Safari, I tried to download the update called Stable
4.2.2_MacOS_86.dmg file and I had problems! Your Stable 4.2.2 download link for
Mac Doesn't Match the actual download!! In fact, instead, I get the following
download: 4.2.2.1_Win_x86.msi! Also, I have tried downloading the Mac Fresh
version 4.2.2 twice and the Safari download screen window froze! No download
ever occurs!! I tried to search the Help sites, but there's too much
confusing/advanced info that doesn't help me.

Is this Windows download, that I received, supposed to work for Mac AND
Windows? If not, Please, go into your system and Rematch and Unfreeze the Fresh
and Stable 4.2.2 download versions for MacOS to your Mac OS download
hyperlinks!

Where is the exact link/download to use LibreOffice on a Barnes Noble NOOK HD
(Android)device, please? Where are the exact instructions to use LibreOffice
with desktop and Android emails? Again the information others left in the help
sites is too advanced or people didn't leave their Operating systems info in
order to get proper answers from other knowledgeable people. This really should
be placed into the General Instructions of LibreOffice.

I also sent you a small donation a few days ago, which was all I could send at
the moment…imagine my surprise that your new update download doesn't work for
Macs!

Thank You for your prompt attention to this major problem for all Mac users! I
love your program!

Two page QA sheet with formulae for students

I found it almost impossible to get either sub or superscripts to position
properly despite unformatting and reformatting several times. Also, I tried
copying stuff from the original MS Word doc which sometimes worked sometimes
didn't. In all cases the outcome was unpredictable although the most common was
no change After an hour on a dozen instances I eventually managed it. Now I
find that after reopening the document almost all the sub/superscripts are all
over the place. Many are doubly sub/superscripted and very little bears any
resemblance to the saved document (attached). In the first four lines with
sub/superscripts not one is correct. The prop and trans should all be
subscripts, elsewhere there are several 10 to the power 8 where the 8 should
superscript and all the rest should be normal. Could it be that original, which
I didn't write and contained only the questions, is an MS Word document?

PS Otherwise LibreOffice is my first choice

It's right, you couldn't zoom in the images the control shows.
So I have created a little macro which opens the images of the control with the
external imageviewer of your system when pressing a separate button. Makes the
same you described: reading the path of the file, opening the file with the
viewer of your system.

Found possible solution ?.
After uninstalling Libreoffice and installing again v4.2.2 i got (during
installation) 2 errors.
One of them was related to Firefox (i needed to close it to continue
installation of Libreoffice).
Second one was FxControlWin.exe, which is a part of programming environment for
industrial logic controllers. After closing it and services depending on it, i
could continue with installation. And after that i got my damaged files open
(but there was alot weird stuff, like boxes for comments, the amont of them has
been multiplied by 20)

I can open, edit and save Calc files, if secondly described program is not
started.

Hi, so my advice would be: if you are working, use a stable version 4.1.5 for
example, if you want to test, use the last RC: 4.2.3.1. When reinstalling make
sure to make a clean install: remove your old profile, remove all of the old
install traces.
The multiplication of notes was a known issue with 4.2.x series. I'm closing
this bug. Please open another issue for other problems you may find. Thanks!

I have several sheets that I want to add a border below row 2. I select all
sheets and the row and use format cell borders.

The border is only added to the cells that aren't merged, not the row 12
merged cells.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Merge rows 1 2 in columns A-C.
2. Select row 2 and format cellsborders.
3. Select bottom border, 1.5 ok

Expect a border across base of row 2 including merged cells.

Current only non merged cells have border.
NB if I select the cells and not row not a problem

2 date fields with character effect title for the first.

Hi,
My proposal seems to the issue 66914
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66914 but I think it's different.

I have a date field formated to show the date with words rather than numbers.
But I can't capitalize the first letter of the first word. If I apply the
character effect title all the words have the first letter capitalized.
To bypass this problem, I have to insert 2 fields of date (see the attachment)
with the first with character effect title.
So, could we have a new character effect Capitalize for sentence in order to
capitalize the first letter of a sentence. Besides this enhancement could be
used for the date fields with words.

Sorry for my poor english. Regards,

Thierry

Indeed, in the duplicate I reported that I observe the same problem with a
standard Apple font, Geneva, and with a free font, Gentium[1], and. So no need
to download a proprietary font.

Copying a remark from the other report:

I've found an old discussion about a similar problem with Geneva bold, and it
was related to the fact that Carbon automatically created a pesudo-bold font,
while Cocoa no longer does this:
http://typophile.com/node/59767

Most probably the new way LO uses to emulate a bold font where only a regular
version exists is not as good as the old one.
