POINT 1:

In "Edit"->"Fill"->"Random Number"->
   random number generation should be given one more checkbox option of
"filling cells with random INTEGERS ONLY, between supplied minimum and maximum
value".
  This can be done by using the inbuilt function of RANDBETWEEN()  , which is
available in libreoffice.

POINT 2:

  In the current random number generation dialog box, it can also be enhanced
for limiting the number of decimal places in generated number. Ask from the

called bug was corrected by reloading an older version from dropbox and hoping

Problem description:
Problem applying Autofilter sort function to a certain data sheet

Steps to reproduce:
1. Only reproduced using the file in which the problem was found
2. Select any cell in the Expenses table
3. Select Sort Ascending for any Autofilter menu

Current behavior:
The column labels will sort into the data table and be replaced by a data
record, regardless of sort option setting or database definition settings.

Expected behavior:
Column labels should remain in row 1

Hola Cesar, thanks for reporting.

Haven't you read, about to Be aware that all comments posted, including
attachments are public. It's not fine a file without depersonalize.

The issue with the file I think is there are hundreds of duplicated text boxes,
you can see it with the navigator [F5].

Please can you verify if they are in excel prior to save as ods.

confirming, but bibisect show this all the way back to pre-3.5 at
d6cde02dbce8c28c6af836e2dc1120f8a6ef9932, thus likely not a regression. Also
tested with ODT, which doesnt show the issue (all the way back to pre-3.5).

Looks like an off-by-one error in reading and writing bookmarks each in the
*.doc filter

The vocabulary file I want the second row to be checked in french

Problem description: 

I made a spreadsheet with vocabulary.

First Row german words, second row french words.

When selecting the second row and editing the cells to "text", language french,
the spell checker is not recognizing the new language.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new Spreadsheet
2. Write a word in the language of the document in A1
3. Write a word in a foreign language in B1
4. Select B1, edit cell text to "text" and select the used language
5. See that spell checker is still checking in the language set for the
document

Current behavior:

Spell checker is not checking in used language

Expected behavior:

Spell checker should check spelling based on the setting in "Format cells -
Numbers - Language"

The NLP solver saves upon exit from it, but not upon exit from Calc. This is
useful when having lots of variables and lots of inequalities. Might also be a
problem with the linear programming solver as well.

A file with two sheets and sample conditional formatting in Sheet2

Problem description: 

When I create conditional formatting (3 conditions) for the whole column
everything works perfectly. However, if there is a preceding sheet, it is
deleted and the file is saved and reopened the conditional formatting is lost.
This does not happen when I delete any subsequent sheets, or move the sheet to
be deleted after the one with conditional formatting.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create an *.ods file with two sheets
2. Create conditional formatting in the second sheet
3. Delete the first sheet, save the document and close Calc
4. Reopen the spreadsheet

Current behavior:

Upon reopening conditional formatting is lost

Expected behavior:

Upon reopening conditional formatting is preserved

Operating System: Ubuntu

Multi-page spreadsheets. Reference in one spreadsheet to a page and cell in an
external (closed) spreadsheet fails in one cell with "Err:520" shown. Other
cells with similar references work. 

If other cells are changed to refer to the target page/cell in the external
file they work. 
If the failing cell is COPIED to another cell and adjusted to refer to the
correct page there, it will initially work but later fail.
If the cell is changed, file saved, then edited to refer to the correct
external page/cell again, the correct value will appear but will again fail
after the external links are refreshed either manually (Edit-Links-Update) or
by save/close and reopen with external links updated.
If the target spreadsheet is open, all links work. 

** If the name of the source spreadsheet (where the failing cell is located) is
changed so that the name includes more than just the month and year (say,
MAR2014.ODS change to MAR2014C.ODS) all links work. 

Dependency seems to exist between the name of the open file and behavior of one
cell in the file?

File setup is, in an annual directory:
Month files:  JAN2014.ODS, FEB2014.ODS, MAR2014.ODS ...
Stock records file:  STOCKS14.ODS

Failure first noted in 4.2.1.1 release; 4.2.2.1 not tested
Failure also occurs in LO 4.1.5.3 release (currently in use)
Not been tested in 4.0
Worked correctly in 3.6.5.2 release

Attachment is the first of 2 files. Will add the external link file afterward.
The failure is in the monthly file, in the cell referring to the external
stocks file for the number of shares for IBM. CVX reference always works
correctly.

Note: the sample files don't appear to have the problem. No idea why. But they
do contain the linkage examples that have the problem.

Workaround: will be changing filenames and/or directory names, but that's a lot
of editing ... or building batch files to always open both the monthly and the
stocks file for every editing session.

The bug can be reproduced with the attached file.

1. Search for "ISERR(A$2" and replace with "ISERROR(A$2" and replace all.
2. Close without saving and return to the start screen.
3. Reopen file
4. Searching and replacing all as before will cause the crash.

The bug is reproducible in LO 4.2.2.1 and LO 4.2.3.1 prerelease.

it's my fault, I'll try to explain. You can see the problem only with the
Italian UI. The English one works fine. 
You can reproduce the problem when you install LibreOffice with the Italian
language pack. Maybe the problem is common also for other languages where the
translated sentences are longer then the English one.

I know that there's a conversion of UI elements but I can confirm the problem
on all the tested versions.

In attachment I removed sensitive data and attached testfile; once again us
state: printing problem of chart appaers in LO 4.2.3.1, not in 4.2.2.1!

It seems there is a bug in LO 4.2.3.1, when printing a document from Calc
(and within the document there is a chart). The problem does not exist when
printing the same document in LO 4.2.2.1. As you can see in LO 4.2.3.1 the
chart is not printed properly; in LO 4.2.2.1 there is no problem.

Hope you can help, or forward this e-mail to the people who might be able
to solve this problem. Or maybe it is already solved..

Problem description: I marked all of the leading portion of an article on
ZeroHedge.com for copying then shift-Insert it into a new writer document. The
writer freezes up. After clicking the window close button and after about five
seconds a dialog box indicates that the writer is unresponsive.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to ZeroHedge.com and select an atricle.
2. Highlight from the title line through the first paragraph of the article and
copy it to the clip board by pressing Ctrl-Insert. Note: This marked section
will typically include one or more graphic images.
3. Move to Libre Office Writer window and Shift-Insert the HTML into the new
document.

Current behavior:The Writer inserts the HTML text, but only the outline boxes
of images appear and then the writer freezes (becomes unresponsive). The only
way out is to click the Libre Office window close button and then when the
dialog box appears, elect to shutdown Libre Office.

Expected behavior: The portion of the higlighted HTML document (text and
graphics) should appear in the Libre Office Writer document space and allow for
editing.

Using openSUSE 13.10 on Intel Core i7-4700mq, 1080x1920 display System76 laptop
system with 8 GB RAM and 480 GB SSD

$HOME/.config/libreoffice/4/user) but it made no difference.

BTW, a new profile directory was not created; is that normal?
I'm certain no libre* processes were running when the profile dir was renamed.

table broken over a page boundary.

There has to be something in my environment (fonts? Options settings?)
which is different than the other testers.   But I'm stumped for ideas

slideshow where one click too much is neede on page 2

In the attached slideshow, the overly text on page 2 appears only after the 2nd
mouse click (or second time I press the arrow key or PageDown key). All other
custom animations (e.g. the one on work well.

I have tried deleting the Custom Animation on this item and entering it again,
but it's always the same.

When unzipping the file, in content.xml I found an animation entry without a
targetElement. I guess that this causes the problem and that this it was
created when deleting some animated item.

If the bug responsible for creating such an element can be found, I would
propose to check for such empty animation elements and delete them. This should
be done at least when all Custom Animations are removed from a slide; better
each time the Custom Animations panel is shown for a slide.

The DOC file attached has the phrase "அம்மா அப்பா பக்கம்" three times which

Another symptom under 4.2.2.1. I wanted to eliminate the mouse driver so I used
alt- combos to navigate to the file pull down. I then down-arrowed and
right-arrowed to the "recent documents" pull-down. The first time it was

Hi Pierre-Yves,

you are right, it is possible to open the hyperlink. I did not know that way
but I also did not expect it. So for me not very intuitive.

What I expect is a handling which is usual in most applikations and also in the
LibreOffice components Writer and Calc. And the usual ways to open hyperlinks
which I know are single click, double click or Ctrl-Click. So, to my opinion it
is still a bug, but it is not really a severe problem.

I have the same issue. It seems to be caused by rows with cells spanning
multiple columns, as if the colspan counter isn't resetted for the next row(s).
The "staircase" starts at the column where a _previous" row had a colspan
attribute. In the examples in the bugreport this is column 1. I have the issue
in a table where the first colspan attribute is in column 4 (of row 1). In the
pasted tables, columns 1-3 (in rows 2 and further) are ok, but from column 4,
the staircase begins.

This is definately a regression from 3.x and i'm almost certain 4.0 didn't have
this bug.

Ok. I understood.

But this method is not obvious.
I have saw another method but it is not obvious too.
Also we can set focus on target col with double Ctrl+LMC.

I still think that by default would be right way to extend selection not only
to first empty cell, but to last not empty cell.

But we found trick and I can work and if you do not agree for my opinion for
default action you can close this report. I will agree your decision.

Analysis with LibO 4.2.2.1 on Win7 :

The "mountain" picture belongs to the page (header/footer) part, not to the
text body.
First page has the "First Page" page type, with "Same content on first page"
deselected, other pages have the "Default Style" page type, also with "Same
content on first page" deselected.

Without any change, you delete on page # :
- 1: picture in the first page of page (only one exists) with "First Page"
style (page 1),
- 2: picture in the first page of pages with "Default Style" style (page 2),
- 3: picture in the other pages of pages with "Default Style" style (pages
3-end).

It remains the picture in the other page(s) with "First Page" style :
- OK, there are none in the attachment ; there should not exist any, in any
doc,
- but LibO doesn't know this subtility, it allows them to exist!
- the bug is that the picture, deleted from the first page background and still
existing in the following page backgrounds, is nevertheless drawn in the first
page : this is WRONG (bug set to NEW),
- to delete it, check the "Same content on first page" in "First Page" page
style before deleting, so that you see all.

Headache garranteed...
