Don't know if I have understand right.
Switching back to English for the GUI doesn't work?
Try to open the source of the table-control for editing. The fields of the
table are defined as Text[VARCHAR]. Now have a look at the Fieldproperties at
the bottom of the tableeditor. The formatexample should show '@'. But sometimes
it shows '0'. If it shows '0' here, it also shows '0' in the form, specially in
the table-control of a form.
Press the button with the three points. Change the language for this field.
Change it back. Press OK. Now the '0' has gone and '@' appears.
Open the form and have a look for this special field. The text would be shown.

I will mark this bug as a duplicate of 67615.

I had no problems with Libre Office 3.00 - which I can no longer download -
but am plagued with them in LO4. When I set to VIEW my page to PAGE WIDTH,
it does not keep this format when I save but reverts to default: maddening!
And consecutive page numbering is useless: writing book chapters, I save my
file with correct numbers intact, but when I next load it the page numbers
begin with `1 and continue in this fashion. Until this bug is fixed, I'm
re-installing Ubuntu 12.04 which has LO 3 and which works PERFECTLY. Smarten
up, LibreOffice: 4 is NOT user friendly.

Hi, which version of the LibreOffice 4.x branch are you using? and please
provide the document with which you experience the page numbering problem,
otherwise we can't reproduce and try to fix the problem. I set the issue on
needinfo - Sophie

Data Form... / Data Form does not support large amounts of fields in
sheet.

In Calc when you have more fields than can be displayed on the available window
real estate on the Data Form GUI, the windows does not offer scrollbars to view
the hidden fields.

The existing scrollbars are used to move the the next data record/row in the
sheet.

Please see the screenshots, notice that 'B' has the window slightly enlarged to
reveal the hidden fields on 'A'.

Indeed, either you reproduce the exact same behaviour and it's the same cause
(for the moment we don't know) and it's All or fill a new bugtracker.

For the moment, I would advise you to fill a new bugtracker by using this page:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77801] New: Cannot create Folder if File with same name already exists

2014-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77801

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 77801
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Cannot create Folder if File with same name already
exists
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: peter_lud...@freenet.de
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.3.3 release
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

I am using Kubuntu 12.04 Precise (64 bit System) with LO 4.2.3.3 Build 420m0
(Build: 3)
In LO I use the KDE Dialogues for Saving Documents. (not LO Dialogues)
If I want to save a document I click File - Save as - I choose a folder -
then I right click in this folder (in the save dialogue box) and choose -
Create/New Folder - name: test (cause I want to create a new folder first)
But
if there is a file in this folder with name test I will get an error message,
that a file with that name already exists and I cannot create this folder.

In LO File Save dialogue the file test will not be visible cause it has no
ending .odt

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77242] writer web stürzt ab bei Aufruf Seite

2014-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77242

 1. Open an empty writer/web document. Choose Kontext-Menu Page
(German: Seite). Libreoffice crashes. So it is for example
impossible to create a background
 2. Open a Writer/Web document. Write a Text, create a spreadsheet. Save
the document. It becomes very large.
You cannot open it with Libre again or only with strange changes.

This happens with Libreoffice in ubuntu-linux, in window 7 and windows
8.1. Version 4.2.3
Libreoffice Version 4.1.5 writer/web is o.k.

Kind regards
Dr. Uwe Wiest

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77761] Editing: Application Locks up

2014-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77761

--- Comment #4 from Fritz Lang supp...@fritz-lang.info ---
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate.
I can reproduce the problem with any file (new or existing).
Here is the description again, this time more specifically:
1. Put data into cells:
   A1 = 1
   A2 = A
   A3 = 2
   A4 = B
(the problem does not occur when putting just numbers into the cells)
2. Mark cells A1:A4 with the keyboard.
3. Press Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Click column header B (not cell B1 but the column header!)
5. Press Ctrl+V to paste. The application locks up.
Cheers
Fritz

Paul: Please, speak English in Bugzilla. If I can trust Google translate, I'd
say you mix ActiveX and graphic card whereas they're 2 different unrelated
things.
You can try the raw method:
- uninstall LO completely
- rename (or remove if you don't need to keep a backup) your LO directory
profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)
- clean your Windows registry with a free tool (like ccleaner)
- install last LO version 4.1.5 (stable branch) or 4.2.3 (fresh branch)

The problem persists in Kubuntu 14.04 and LibreOffice 4.2.3.3.

However, now the bug is a bit different. The Save dialog window is not so slow,
but it is slow yet. And LibreOffice crashes if you wait enought time in the
save dialog window.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77803] New: Numbering in Chinese does not consistence with Chinese syntax

Bug ID: 77803

Summary: Numbering in Chinese does not consistence with Chinese
syntax
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: stephdech...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.2.1 release
 Component: Localization
   Product: LibreOffice

As I have recently started a very long article that with a length of several
hundreds of pages, I found that the page number is somewhat weird between one
hundred and two hundred.

The correct experession of one hundred in Chinese should be 「一百」, but the one
in one hundred is missing and the display become 「百」. Further more, the
zero between hundreds and ones are missing too. The correct expression of one
hundred and one is 「一百零一」, but now it became 「百一」 which literally means one
hundred and ten and quite confusing.

I have recently written a java program which can convert integer number to
number in Chinese, and it is now in http://paste.ubuntu.com/7313644 . I know
that this program has terrible structure and efficiency so it is just for
referencing. It can only convert numbers from 0 to 99,999,999 too, but I think
that's enough.

The formula cursor doesn't works when experimental features are enabled. In
this case, the cursor doesn't jump to the corresponding area and the portion of
the formula isn't marked with a thin border when the formula cursor is active.
When experimental features are disabled, the formula cursor works fine.

I reduced the calc document to a minimal document with which the crash can be
reproduced (calc document will be uploaded after creating the bug report).

Steps to reproduce:

-go to writer document
-paste (Ctrl-V)
-LibreOffice crashes and restarts with recovery

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77807] New: Incorrect paste of sum()

2014-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77807

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 77807
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: Incorrect paste of sum()
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: andrew.p...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.3.3 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

A column of numbers is added using sum(:). The column and sum is copied and
pasted to a location above the original using ctrl shift v and shift cells
down. The original sum is now incorrrect.

For example:

insert 1 in A2, 2 in A3 and 3 in A4. Insert sum(A2:A4) in A5. Copy A2:A5 and
paste special using ctrl shift v into A1. At the prompt select shift
cells down. The sum in A9 now contains sum(A2:A8) instead of sum(A6:A8) !

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77089] WMF rendering: characters are too wide

2014-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77089

--- Comment #2 from Tomaz Vajngerl qui...@gmail.com ---
After investigation I found out that MS Office (and MS Paint) renders this
image the same as LO (at least concerning the fonts). To show this you have to
take the WMF image directly from the PPTX file by unzipping the document.

The reason that the original PPTX file (when opened in PowerPoint) shows the
correctly rendered chart is that the PPTX contains a oleObject1.bin (in
ppt/embeddings folder inside the document) which I suspect is the original
chart data, and uses that for rendering.

Funny, if you export the chart in PowerPoint as a WMF image and use that in LO,
then the chart is rendered (almost) perfectly also in LO.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77320] Other: Libreoffice 4.2.2-5 crashes on startup

2014-04-23 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #9 from Paul Langie paul.lan...@scarlet.be ---
Hallo, Julien,

Sorry I wasn't aware that I was writing in MY language. (Flamish people are
careless about that because they must know several ones).
Thank you very much for your careful reaction !

Windows 7 informed me that my problem is inherent to the age of my Display
Adapter (from beginning of 2k-era).
He doesn't support ActiveX far enough. I resolved allready the problem by
diminishing the acceleration by 2 steps (out of 5 ?).
For my old administrative PC this is far good enough.

I just recovered this old PC from a severe virusattack and was looking around
for another Office-pack. My old PC is my laboratory !!
On my other recent PC, I am enjoying full multimedia without fear for viruses
(scarce external connections).

I no more need help, thank you for your careful reaction !

Friendly greetings,

Paul: Please, speak English in Bugzilla. If I can trust Google translate, I'd
say you mix ActiveX and graphic card whereas they're 2 different unrelated
things.
You can try the raw method:
- uninstall LO completely
- rename (or remove if you don't need to keep a backup) your LO directory
profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)
- clean your Windows registry with a free tool (like ccleaner)
- install last LO version 4.1.5 (stable branch) or 4.2.3 (fresh branch)

This did not happen in 4.2.4. Verified with 4.2.3 on Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04,

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified

 Component: Drawing
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 97820
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=97820action=edit
Example SRM_16-12.odg as a typical use case

Problem description:

The current Duplication function is already very useful, but it is overly
complex for casual use. Most importantly also a pivot point for polar
duplication is missing, which would make the function much more useful for
rotational symmetric drawings, such as clock scales, tooth wheels or electric
motors.

See the attached motor.odg as a typical example for such a use case.

As an another example for the typical use of the function see the grid of the
drawing, which was made with the duplication function as is.

Currently objects can only be rotated around a center point, which requires
rotational symmetric parts to be drawn on both sides of the center and the ends
then may not hit well. Such standard use case can then currently only be solved
with quite complicated drawing technics.

It also does not take fractional angles.

Suggestions:

Fractional angles:

Angles are currently rounded to integer numbers. This prevents the drawing of
precise polar segments, where often fractions of a degree are necessary for
symmetry. In example a circular division into 48 segments requires 7.5deg.
increments. The precision should be changed to at least 2 fractional digits;
with 2 digits most common divisions (half and quarter degree) are possible.

Separate Panes for common operations, simplification:

For simple and efficient use the Duplication Function should be split up onto
several panes for the most typical common use cases with the following
properties only:

Horizontal Duplication:

  - Number of copies
  - x-Offset

Vertical Duplication:

  - Number of copies
  - x-Offset

Polar Duplication:

  - Number of copies
  - Pivot Point (current Placement may be used instead)
 - Xaxis
 - Yaxis
  - Angle (fractional angles should be allowed)

Alternative better angle settings:
Specify only the number of copies and a total integer angle,
then divide this total angle by the number of copies.
(i.e. 360 deg. for full circles, then rounding errors
for broken angle numbers can be eliminated or greatly reduced,
this also eliminates the need for calculation of the
 individual angle fraction)

Complex or elliptic Duplication:

  - same as is, just on an extra pane, to not break anything.

Further possible enhancements:

All of the above and:

  - Tick Box for 'Live Mode'

  - Probably another Tick box for mirror mode
(only for Horizontal and Vertical Duplication,
then these would also need an x- or y-mirror axis coordinate)

  - Very Fancy: Have a Numbering Function for making scales etc.
(would need a Starting Value and an Increment,
probably a small csv-list for characters etc.)

The addition of the suggested Live Mode would allow to draw everything
duplicated, as long as the Duplication Live Mode is selected. This would
greatly ease the drawing of simple symmetric drawings such as grids, clock
scales or the attached motor example.

The above Duplication function may become a 'killer' feature for LibO-Draw and
it should be implementable as suggested with very little efford; using the
current function as base.

Attachment:
SRM_16-12.odg as a typical use case
(Motor only as png, the Grid was done with 'Duplicate')

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: mesen...@t-online.de
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: Inherited From OOo
 Component: Drawing
   Product: LibreOffice

The Duplicate Function needs an off-center pivot point, to be able to draw
rotational symmetric parts without complex drawing technics.

Currently rotations can be only made around the center, which requires a part
to be drawn rotational symmetric (double) with high precision and the ends may
not fit well.

hi Jorge.

can you provide a screenshot of the same file opened in Power Point to see how
font size is managed there?

the test file you provided is an .odp
are you sure it was created by Power Point?

anyway in order to obtain the same size you should select both the large and
small words, then hit Format/Predefined Format then reselect font and font
size to the desired value.

The Duplicate Function does not take fractional angles. This makes it very
difficult to draw regular parts with non-integer divisions.

The Duplicate function should be allowed to take fractional angle degrees as

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76851] Report Wizard Crashes

 Libre Office Base

There was a large update this evening ( Apr 22/14 Linux Mint16 Petra) and
now ‘Create Reports in Design View’ does nothing and the wizard method goes
through the motions then hangs up and LO Base crashes when one tries to exit
create report gracefully. Running existing reports hangs and it will also
crash LO Base if one tries to exit gracefully. It does not exit Report
functions, design or run, gracefully at all. It crashes badly and requires
going through recovery process when trying to re-launch LO Base. Haven’t
tried writer or calc to see if they are affected also.

FYI and attention if anyone cares. It was working fine, then updated and
restarted PC and now lots of trbls.

Because of PC restart after update all the scrollback buffer data of the
 changes made was lost.

I noticed libre office updates ( I believe they were lib files but not sure as
srcolled by fast) in the terminal window and then restarting the PC per the
update instructions I lost the scrollback buffer data to maybe be able to paste
in here.

Updates were many and appeared to be various linux and LO updates.

Hi cor,
Thanks for your quick response. I just made 2 separate reports about the pivot
and the integer issue:

Bug 77815 - Draw - Duplicate Function - Off-center pivot point is missing
Bug 77816 - Draw - Duplicate Function - Does not take fractional angles

I did not find how to edit my original report above. I think it can be left as
is, the separate issues can now be easily found.

I do not know how to edit the above report. Is that possible, and how is it
done?

Regards,
Gerhard
