[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78761] SLIDESHOW: Slideshow is slow. Also with glitches
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78761 --- Comment #2 from Yan Pashkovsky yanp...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #1) Does this happen for every presentation? Is this new to 4.2.4.2 or was it an issue prior to this release? This issue is since i was using libreoffice, from 4.1, but I'm sure it was in ealier versions. White stripes are buzzing only with 3d transition Rosetta, maybe some other 3d effects. And interlacing effect (vsync problem) happens with every horizontal transition -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 33467] Mac: Default printer should be taken from the OS when printing
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33467 --- Comment #6 from Hussian Alamri husain.a...@gmail.com --- I want to volunteer and fix this. Should I use OS X (Cocoa) APIs to find out the default printer? I think LibreOffice aims for cross-platform portability so unlike NeoOffice it doesn't include OS X specific code. I will attempt fixing it using CUPS, maybe it can be fixed and maybe it is a CUPS limitation. If I can use OS X specific API/syscalls let me know. One last question, where can I find the code related to printing? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33467 --- Comment #7 from Tor Lillqvist t...@iki.fi --- Nah, feel free to use OS X -specific code if it helps, obviously putting it inside an appropriare ifdef. After all, the U in CUPS stands for Unix, and our most important platform is Windows (number of users, and especially paying customers;). So it isn't as if using CUPS would be cross-platform either. I would start looking in vcl. I think printing related functionality already *is* in platform-specific code in vcl. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61192] In PDF printing mode greyscale printing not possible
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61192 --- Comment #7 from Jesus Caudeli jcaud...@lasallegrinon.es --- (In reply to comment #4) I totally agree that it is minor issue and low priority, especially since we had to revert to PS printing (due to the MUCH more serious bug 61189 ) and it works OK in PS. Seems odd to classify it as a feature request, but whatever ya gotta do! As far as specifying with the printer- yes, on most PPD files for color printers, there is an option for choosing color or non-color. I believe the one we use has such an option. So that is another workaround. Did you revert the whole CUPS behaviour to print using PS instead of PDF? How did you do it? I really need to know it. I have the same issue, and I think it's not a problem of LO but of CUPS. I can't print in grayscale from ANY application. At least in LO I can make the workaround choosing PS, but what can I do with the other software? I think reverting to PS printing would fix this, but I can't find how to do it, and I'm also worried of creating new problems caused by the regression. I see that libwpd is detecting it as a WP 4.2 file and I understand why. Now, if you change the extension of this file to *.sylk, it will load well. This can be a workaround for this kind of rare cases. The problem lies in the fact that WP 4.2 file-format is a text file without header with WordPerfect codes embedded. We use a dry-parsing heuristics to detect this kind of files. We try to check whether the codes in the file follow the logic that codes in a WP file would follow. The problem is that this file contains an even number of é characters encoded as 0xE9. OxE9 in a WP42 file is a variable length function and we normally scan for a closing 0xE9 if we find an openning one. Them being in even numbers make us believe that it is a WP42 file with two 0xE9 codes. The problem is that I cannot make much with this kind of logic. Without this heuristics I am unable to detect any WP42 file at all. It is true that some special cases of text files can pass through this filter, but the workaround is to rename the extension of the file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77902] Device I/O error when appending to log file from Linux to Samba share
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77902 Jeff H jeff_he...@sil.org changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jeff_he...@sil.org --- Comment #1 from Jeff H jeff_he...@sil.org --- I have found a work-around to this bug, but it is messy and probably very dependent on the version of Linux being used. The work-around is described here: http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/32488/calc-basic-cant-append-to-network-text-file-from-linux/ I would appreciate it if someone could confirm this bug, so that maybe we could move towards a solution. To recap, I access our server from Calc BASIC with a path like this: file://cdb.sil.org/server/folder/file. I run this path through ConvertToURL before using it; on Windows machines the file: prefix stays the same, on Linux machines it changes to smb:. In this way, all of our API file accesses to our server (StoreAsURL, StoreToURL, LoadComponentFromURL, etc.) work on both systems. But if I use the basic Open For Append or Open For Output BASIC commands with these same paths, Linux access to the smb://cdb... paths will fail with a Device I/O error. I can use Open For Input with the smb://cdb... paths successfully, but not Append or Output. My work-around starts with the fact that any Linux smb:// access on a mounted share actually has a normal file access somewhere in the system, if you can find it. On our Linux Mint 16 systems, the Samba file access to our server gets converted at some level to this normal Linux path: /run/user/1000/gvfs/smb-share:server=cdb.sil.org,share=server/ So my work-around code manually builds up this server path, and whenever I want to use smb:// (which LibreOffice refuses to convert for the Open Append or Output commands), I manually put in this long, messy path for direct access to the file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59818] VIEWING: Bad Font Rendering in KDE
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59818 --- Comment #24 from Nicolas Mailhot nicolas.mail...@laposte.net --- IIRC that's because GTK/GNOME people decided to override the cross-platform font stack configuration mecanisms and export settings with their own methods. The GTK layer in libreoffice then reads this configuration and applies it. You happen to like the GTK font choices. If you run an ubuntu or gnome session it will export them. If you use another DE it will read the normal standard configuration files. There is no consensus on what is proper font configuration, different people have different preferences, which is why GNOME people decided in their usual way to force their vision on their users and ignore everyone else. Since you like those choices, you need to dig in GNOME/ubuntu to find where they are carefully hidden away from user control and set the same values in your fonts.conf where non-gnome-descended DEs will read them -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I build a form with a date field and it works. But if i change in Windows 7 the format of the date to chinese (simplified, VR China) and open it again i can not enter the correct date in my field. Here is a link for german developers http://www.libreoffice-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=10t=13127 Steps to reproduce: 1. Start the Database open the form user and add some data. All should work. 2. close Libreoffice 3. Go to your windows system configuration. Choose the region(/area) and language. then choose tab format. Now you change the format language to chinese (simplified, VR China) (in the german Win 7 Version it is the last one of chinese languages). Only the format of the date will be changed and not the language of the system!! 4. Now Start the Database again and try to add users or change the date of existing users. It does not work! https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77183 --- Comment #9 from Bernard du Toit bernarddt+b...@gmail.com --- Since the dialog is not producing errors or causing errors, but just don't work for any columns beyond a certain count, I think it would be worth more to ask for a redesign. I'm working with Oracle SQL Developer, and they also have this features and theirs work well (buttons for next/pre record and scrolling for columns/fields) so there is a very simple way of making this work. I think the original design of this dialog was not giving enough thought because one doesn't use it that much, but a redesign would be worth it for the quality of the project. Because it is a stand-alone dialog that a junior/new developer can work on without messing with important code, it may be a nice assignment for new comer contributing developers. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77183] EDITING: Scrolling not working in DataForm... window
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77183 --- Comment #10 from Kohei Yoshida libreoff...@kohei.us --- Actually, re-design may be the only way to go. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77183 --- Comment #12 from Bernard du Toit bernarddt+b...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #10) Actually, re-design may be the only way to go. This dialog behaves in a very weird way even without this bug. Unless you are indicating something else, yes it is weird that you use the scrollbars to move to the next record. Although their is buttons to do the same thing. (In reply to comment #11) Ok.. I'll give you a point there, Bernard. I'm leaning toward what you said in Comment 9. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78793] New: Make hiding the gallery easier ...
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78793 Priority: medium Bug ID: 78793 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Make hiding the gallery easier ... Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: michael.me...@collabora.com Hardware: Other Status: NEW Version: 4.2.4.1 rc Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice I stumbled upon my wife's PC with the gallery open, she had no idea how to close it (or how it got opened in the first place) ... It would be great to have a 'close' button present there [ if you know you can un-dock it and close it to get this effect but ... ] - there is a load of grey-space on the right to put that in. git grep -5 SVXDLG_GALLERYBROWSER For bonus points, converting the old-style code to a new-style .ui dialog would be rather useful too cf. http://caolanm.blogspot.ie/2013/01/converting-libreoffice-dialogs-to.html Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
