Caolan, why not do the mass addition now, especially as Julien appears to be

Also, defining what labels are high-profile is an unsolvable issue without

Can reproduce on LibreOffice 4.2.4.2 (from OpenSUSE), setting to NEW.

I do agree with Eugen to some extent: the setting in Tools Options
LibreOffice Calc View should also toggle the setting in Format Page Sheet
_on new documents_ (or documents where the Page setting is unset in the XML
format).
That way both options could stay mostly independent and the general user
expectation of printing what is on screen would be met. If a user wants the
display print options to differ, they would have to set that once per
document.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53023

--- Comment #5 from a07cd040897db54e1...@spambog.com ---
(In reply to comment #4)
 This bug has
4 total comments over almost 2 year period - it's really not affecting many
 users.

Did you also have a look at the See also section?

At least two duplicates of this bug exist (bug 63740 and bug 77482) which in
total add 17 more comments. *Yourself* commented there and even marked 77482 as
a duplicate of this. So dont't complain about too less users affected and
comments in this certain report.

The apache bugtracker for AOO adds 11 further comments to this issue.

So we are talking about 33 comments in total about a bug that at least exists
since 2007-07-21 in AOO and was taken over to LO.

Note that other bugs on MAB list are mostly crashers, hangers, or if not,
are bugs that are going to affect a large portion of our users

The fact, that at least two further users felt it would be worth writing a
report and 33 comments about the reports make me feel believe that large
portion of our users *are* affected.

Furthermore i believe that a bug

  - that makes a function unusable in some cases (single phrases without
formatting)
  - that is known of for nearly *seven* years now
  - that is reported many times
  - that is easily reproducible
  - that seems easy to fix

definitely *is* most annoying.

Please do not add it back to the list

I won't, but your arguments are wrong.

I tried the dev build, but the crash remain. I give you the step to reproduce
bug:

- enter header in A1
- enter Data in A2 and B2
- enter a comment in A2
- leave B1 empty
- go to A2
- click on button sort ascending
- we can see that header are sorted with others data - so wrong
- i undo the the sort
- i retry to sort acscending

-- CRASH

i have tested this with :

Crash with :

- Windows XP 4.16, 4.25
(libo-42~2014-05-18_18.05.37_LibreOfficeDev_4.2.5.0.0_Win_x86.msi)
- Windows Seven 4.16
- Linux 4.14, 4.20, 4.22

No crash with Debian wheezy LO 3.5.4

I try to define you the bug :

When a table include an empty header, the sort not work properly (datas and
header are sorted, i think header must stay in place : 1st line )

LO crash only when a comment is inserted on a cell, try to sort, undo the sort,
retry the sort.

I can confirm this with i3/awesome and libreoffice-4.2.3.3 and I can
furthermore confirm Martins observation: the presentation is always drawn on
the same screen in a separate window behind the controls window.

As a workaround: at least with i3 it is possible to exit fullscreen-mode
without libreoffice noticing and then move the presentation window to a
different screen manually.

Setting to confirmed then.

Window managers are a pain sadly, at least historically they all behaved subtly
different. So there's code in LibreOffice trying to abstract that away:

 http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/vcl/unx/generic/app/wmadaptor.cxx

Would be cool if someone running one of the problematic window
managers could debug this, and figure out which adapter LibreOffice
picks. Also worth trying, is setting env var OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP to

 tde
 kde4
 gnome
 unity
 xfce
 mate
 kde
 none

As there is no recent build of TB51, is this fixed by now?

--- Comment #25 from Christian Lohmaier lohma...@gmx.de ---
there's no recent build for the @51 box because the daily build server was down
yesterday.

But the @51 bot is about to finish another build and will upload the build - so
please check for new build in ~1.5-2 hours.

And no surprise the problem stills shows up in a build from May 17, when the
fix was checked in on May 19 :-)

The crashes are fixed, what is still a problem (but a different one) is that it
won't recognize java properly (it will treat the JRE as invalid).

same. I'm using the 4.2 release, but I have already tested with 4.3 alpha.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78964] New: LibreOffice can't print to local wifi printer.

2014-05-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78964

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78964
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: LibreOffice can't print to local wifi printer.
  Severity: blocker
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: 95kreanin...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.4.2 release
 Component: Printing and PDF export
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 99408
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=99408action=edit
Printed paper, showing errors.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit, updated to the latest version. I can't print
to my local wifi printer - Brother MFC-J6710DW. I have installed the official
driver from Brother's website.

http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=uslang=enprod=mfcj6710dw_all

All of my printer's features are working fine in other applications. So, my
workaround is that, I have to export my documents in LibreOffice as PDF, and
print those documents with PDF viewer in Ubuntu.

There's a similar bug that had been reported. But it marked as FIXED. And the
opener said the bug did not happen in 4.2.4.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6

So, I decided to open a new bug report as it appears not to be the same case
with the bug that had been reported and FIXED.

Since the last release, the default bullet style look funny. Previously, the
default bullets were small circles. Now they are larger and have a number 10
inside them. I have searched for a place to change the default bullet style,
and cannot find where I would do this, which means that I have to manually
change the bullet style each time I use bullets. These also show up this way
when I print.

None of this was a problem prior to the latest release.

Since the last release, Writer automatically changes start of lines from lower
case to upper case. Most of the time, I do not need this, which means I'm
constantly having to manually change upper case back to lower case. This has
only been happening since the last release. In addition, despite searching for
where I can change this, I haven't found where I can revert this setting.

In general, I don't appreciate having my software re-make decisions for me in
the first place, and it's even more frustrating to have to dig around to change
them back.

How did you resize - I just did it two ways and the file came out fine.

Steps:

1. Downloaded your file Example Text document with embedded Draw document
2. Grabbed the corner and resized down
3. Undid the resize
4. Right clicked and went into ole properties
5. Set scale to 50%/45% for height and width

Both show fine - attaching document to show

Hi Ginette,

Thanks for your report.
I guess that it's best to first ask for user-support. For exmaple there is a
group of users with a great variety of skills that can offer help with
questions:
  http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/community-support/

If you are sure that there is no problem with how you should use the functions,
and that there is a bug or a need for a serious enhancement, pls reopen this
issue and give a sample editable document with a clear step by step
description.

Kind regards
Cor

Below is an updated bug description along the lines that you requested. I have
also answered the questions that you had in your comment. Please let me know if
this meets your needs. I do not know of a way to modify the original bug
description so I have added it here:

Problem description:

The “setFormula()” method in Calc appears to be broken. It will work for very
simple formulas (e.g. “= true”) but displays an “Err:508” in the cell for even
slightly more complex formulas ( e.g. “=and(a1,b1)” ). The problem occurs in
both Linux and Windows environments.

Steps to reproduce:

1. In LibreOffice, open Tools -- Macros -- Organize Macros -- pick any
module to edit

2. Type (or cut/paste) the following program in to the empty “Sub” of your
choice (Main will do)

Dim oDoc'new Calc doc for this test
Dim oSheet'points to first sheet
oDoc = StarDesktop.loadComponentFromURL( private:factory/scalc, _blank, 0,
Array() )
oSheet = oDoc.getSheets().getByIndex(0)
oSheet.getCellByPosition(0, 0).setFormula(= true)'Works
oSheet.getCellByPosition(1, 0).setFormula(= true)'Works
oSheet.getCellByPosition(2, 0).setFormula(= and(a1,b1))'Err:508

3. Run this Macro

Current behavior:
Cell C3 displays “Err:508”

Expected behavior:
Cell C3 should display “TRUE”

Operating System: All
Version: 4.2.3.3 release

Answers to questions:

I can not personally confirm whether this is regression or a new problem. I
strongly believe that this is regression since I was following code examples in
documentation that appear to have worked for some people at some point. I am
new to LibreOffice starting with version 4.2.3.3.

One additional note. I would suggest that this is far from a simple bug. It has
far broader scope, is more extensive, and creates far more damage in code than
the simple exmaple that I have provided above would indicate. Even more so the
case before it was narrowed down and cornered as described in the document. I
have updated the document to include the simple bug report / description at the
front along with a button that will run through the rest of the test cases. I
will upload this as well.

Sorry for the confusion that my original report may have caused, I am new to
LibreOffice and its bug reporting process. My intent was to help the developers
identify the complete problem quickly and provide help in narrowing down the
source. Please let me know if you need additional information.
