[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80223] LibO Can't Print

2014-06-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80223

--- Comment #7 from Asger Hansen a...@1957ab.dk ---
Hi again.

If I use PDFill, Microsoft XPS Document Writer and CutePDF Writer,in 4.3.0.1
rc, the LibO print the first page and then LibO do a restart again.
If I use 4.2.5.2, I don't have any printer problems.
Is there a log file in LibO, and can I send it to You ?

Hmm, but I can't really get it to work. What I was working on had many
interspersed changes but 2 authors, as well as comments, including comments
marked deleted. Probably the repaint had something to do with the comments
disappearing.

 Created attachment 101635 [details]
 test ods file with vadility list in column A.

Tested the file in 3.3.0, 4.1.6 and 4.2.5 and all loose the validity in column
A. Saving as xls also has the same effect, but saving as MSO 2003 xml looses it
even in A1.

I believe that this example file might not be what Riq was referring to, as i
added number values in A1 to A10 and the validity check remained after saving
it to xlsx. So Riq please send us a sample file to test against.

Please attach the actual sheet. Also provide clearer steps on how to reproduce
- ie. how did you get to those dialogs that you're looking at.

When reporting bug it's always better to me more thorough than less thorough
just to make QA's job easier. If we can follow step by step it can cut down the
time dramatically for us to confirm the issue and move it forward to get
resolved.

Moving to NEEDINFO - once you provide a test sheet and reproducible steps
please put it back in UNCONFIRMED status. Thanks

--- Comment #2 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com ---
Confirmed in Linux Mint in 4.0.6, 4.1.6, 4.2.5 and 4.3.0. Worked correctly in
3.3.0 and 3.6.7. The table is not visible at all in 4.0 and 4.1, while in 4.2
and above, the left and right borders of each cell are missing. Included below
is the html code of the first cell in various versions.

= LibO 3.3 =

TD WIDTH=13% STYLE=; border-top: 2.60pt double #808080; border-bottom: 2.60pt
double #808080; border-left: 2.60pt double #808080; border-right: none;
padding-top: 0.04in; padding-bottom: 0.04in; padding-left: 0.04in;
padding-right: 0in

= LibO 3.6 =

TD WIDTH=13% STYLE=border-top: 1px double #808080; border-bottom: 1px double
#808080; border-left: 1px double #808080; border-right: none; padding-top:
0.04in; padding-bottom: 0.04in; padding-left: 0.04in; padding-right: 0in

= LibO 4.0 to 4.3 =

td width=13% style=border-top: 1px double #808080; border-bottom: 1px
double #808080; border-left: 1px double #808080; border-right: none;
padding-top: 0.04in; padding-bottom: 0.04in; padding-left: 0.04in;
padding-right: 0in

So after looking over this html code, it seems there is nothing wrong with the
html code, its just that LibO is not rendering it properly, as opening the 4.0
html file in 4.2 shows the top and bottom borders.

Unfortunately, the docx file in comment 4 wasnt suitable as the text was set to

In order to get the right results, i could set the outline numbering for
Heading 1, then hightlight the 2 paragraphs, and set their style to Heading 2,
and then back to Heading 1, and then the numbering will show up.

In the beginning I had default settings on Workmemory in settings. Then I sat
it up to max and no difference.

I started to delete weeks 1 - 25. It worked at the first time quite well but
when I saved the file it crashed.
Next time I opened the crasced file, rebuilt it and there were all 26 weeks. I
tried again but cose only weeks 1 - 4. It took a while, almost the same time
(not weth any measuring clock) as at the first time, but when saveing, crasch.
Thel I tried only deleting week 1, crash.

--- Comment #7 from Laurent BP jumbo4...@yahoo.fr ---
Hi,

On Win7 x86, LibO Version: 4.2.5.2
Build ID: 61cb170a04bb1f12e77c884eab9192be736ec5f5
I can NOT reproduce crash, neither with procedure of comment #0 nor procedure
of comment #2 for attachment 101505.

As mentioned by Christopher in comment #2, attachment 101505 contains many
empty lines and columns. So there is no automatic extension of selection
possible. If I remove these empty lines, asking for sorting without selection
can automatically extend selection. However, as headers are detected, sorting
is not proposed on column A but on Keyword (name of column A). Then correct
sort without crash.

On Win7 x86, LibO Version: 4.3.0.1
Build ID: 67f5430184326974072b65403ef1d9d934fc4481
I DO reproduce crash with procedure of comment #3 for attachment 101505

So I think there is two different bugs:
- initial bug was reported under LibO 4.2.5.2 on Mac, but neither Christopher
nor me can reproduce. @John, please give a more detailed procedure or it may be
specific to Mac
- bug described in comment #2 is for LibO 4.3.0.1 only. So please Christopher
fill a new bug report

Then I change status to NEEDINFO. Feel free to modify it if you think I'm
wrong.

--- Comment #8 from Lionel Elie Mamane lio...@mamane.lu ---
Stephan? I'm having a difficulty with yet another subtelty of Reference in
treating this bug.

Consider this code (file svx/source/form/formcontroller.cxx):

308bool lcl_isBoundTo( const Reference XPropertySet
_rxControlModel, const Reference XInterface _rxNormDBField )
309{
310Reference XInterface  xNormBoundField(
_rxControlModel-getPropertyValue( FM_PROP_BOUNDFIELD ), UNO_QUERY );
311return ( xNormBoundField.get() == _rxNormDBField.get() );
312}

Consider this gdb trace:

Breakpoint 5, svxform::(anonymous namespace)::lcl_isBoundTo (

Value returned is $56 = false

The expectation of the code is that lcl_isBoundTo returns true, but it
returns false. Has something changed in 4.2 (compared to 4.1 and earlier) that
breaks this assumption? How can we achieve the effect the code expects? I don't
think we can commit to one particular implementation of Column Model.

Alright, the varied procedure indeed warrants a different bug report, so I will

To keep the file size to minimum, I edited out some parts where there was no

the video at those points to read the callouts.

Confirmed. Fedora 20 and 4.2.5.2

Opened Christian's original document (the first link in this report) and
selected all empty cells on the left of the text (ie. under Key Activity). I
changed text height to 8pt as advised.

Save, close, reopen. ALL cells in the table have a blue background and I note
that the column numbers 10-14 are displayed differently - 1 on top of 0, 1 on
top of 1, etc.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80462] New: Other: Crash when sorting

2014-06-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 80462
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: Other: Crash when sorting
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: chrischa...@gmx.us
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.3.0.1 rc
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 101647
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=101647action=edit
Larger spreadsheet, crashes

The following procedure crashes on the first spreadsheet (large, taken from bug
80342), but not the second (much smaller).

Highlight column A
Go to Data - Sort
Ask for the selection to be extended
Using default sorting options, specify single sorting key as Column A,
ascending
Click OK…

Interestingly, if I copy e.g. even just the header and the first record in the
larger spreadsheet to a new spreadsheet, it still crashes if I attempt to sort.

(Note: deemed not a duplicate of bug 80342. I am leaving this as OS X x86-64
exclusive until Laurent BP can confirm again on x86 Windows.)

compare Reference XColumn instead of Reference XInterface

This patch seems to work. My understanding is that instead of using an
ambiguous base, we use a non-ambiguous base and then pointers into the same
object are to the same entry in the vtable (because there is only one) instead
of the risk of being into different entries for the ambiguous base in the
vtable.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75339] UI: No Error-Dialog appears, when Input is required in a Field of a Form trying to move with Tabulator to next Row

compare the references instead of comparing the .get()

This patch also works... Aha, this seems to be thanks to special-case code in
inline bool BaseReference::operator == ( XInterface * pInterface ) const
(file include/com/sun/star/uno/Reference.hxx):

if (_pInterface == pInterface)
return true;
try
{
// only the query to XInterface must return the same pointer if they
belong to same objects
Reference XInterface  x1( _pInterface, UNO_QUERY );
Reference XInterface  x2( pInterface, UNO_QUERY );
return (x1._pInterface == x2._pInterface);
}

Stephan? Your opinion? Is this patch 100% robust, or should we go with the
other patch (comparing XColumn pointers)?

When attachment 95915 is opened in all UIs other than english, the 'Heading',
'Index', 'Quotations', and 'Table of Contents' appear in english rather than
their localized version. If you look in the KeyID UI version, you will notice
that these entries dont have string references and the string referenced
version of 'Heading' appears as a sub-folder of the non-string referenced
'Heading' and the string referenced 'Heading' has Heading 7 to Heading 10
underneath it, in addition to others.

This was tested in 4.2 and 4.3 on Linux Mint.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80466] New: Other: LibreOffice QuickStarter problem

2014-06-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80466

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 80466

   Summary: Other: LibreOffice QuickStarter problem
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: leopoldo.sag...@libero.it
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.3.0.1 rc
 Component: Libreoffice
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
In my hands the general part of this problem was present in every version of
LibreOffice with Win XP and Win7. The specific part (to be described below) is
only with LibreOffice 4.3.0.x

General part
Whenever I installed/updated/reinstalled a new version/subversion of
LibreOffice since its initial version even if I checked the choice of loading
LibOffice at system startup it did not work at the first launch.
Please note that I always performed the custom setup of LibreOffice; I never
did the standad one.
To made it to work I needed to open Tools - Options - Memory and manually
check the option Load Libre Office during suytem startup which was not
checked.
This way, from the next launch I got the icon of Libre Office in the systray.

Specific part
Starting with the new version of LibreOffice 4.3.0.rc1 (but also in the
previous version beta1 beta2) in a Win7 64 bit environment and using the same
techniques, I got the same behavior BUT no LibreOffice icon appears on the
systray even if I checked manually the option Load Libre Office during suytem
startup and this stays on.

An image showing the English version on top vs the Hebrew version on bottom.
the issue is easy to spot.

Problem description:
Element dock appears RTL aligned, with bad bidi braces in the Hebrew UI
version and possibly other RTL languages.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the Math editor, or open sheets/writer and Insert-object-formula
2. go to the brackets, samples or any other category with formula that contains
brackets in Element dock

Current behavior:
In the Element dock -
Brackets direction is reversed, and most of the ? elements are misspositioned
(before a symbol, rather then after), also some symbols are mis-spaced.
In other the formulas are treated as if they are ment to be written RTL instead
of LTR. It looks bad.

Expected behavior:
In the Element anchor - everything looks like the english version, possibly
right aligned.

retained, as can be seen in the attached file. In 4.3 the green and red
backgrounds found in 4.2 are now blue. I didnt have the same problem of setting

When open the docx document with libreoffice non-english UI, paragraphs A.

I have the same problem since LO 4.0.0.
It appends when data come from outter file - database or Spreadsheet. I tried
with dbf files and MS Excel 5.0.
It's OK when data are in a sheet of the same file.

There's the same bug in Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1 but it's fixed on AOO 4.1.0.

2014-06-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Still open in v4.2.4.2

The Problem is, that after the second RETURN, the new line has no bullet style
anymore and the bullet indicator is set to false.

Even if you press RETURN more often before pasting, the heading still get the
bullet style.

Where dose this information came from? Is there a more general problem with
pasting and styles? There are several other bug reports according to pasting
and unexpected styles.

Test case with empty second line

I can reproduce crash on Win7-x86 LibO Version: 4.3.0.1
Build ID: 67f5430184326974072b65403ef1d9d934fc4481

The bug seems not be linked to the size of the spreadsheet but on the way LibO
use to extend selection when second line is empty. I add an empty line to
attachment 101648 on line 2, then LibO crash in the same way.

Steps to reproduce from scratch:
1. Create a new spreadsheet
2. Type headers in the first line
3. Leave second line empty
4. Add random data such as in attached document
5. Click on column A to select all column
6. Click on Sort Ascending button
7. Click on Extend Selection

= crash
Reproduce with LibO 4.2.5.2, 4.3.0.1 and Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 32ac015be4d0f33120bc066e7f49e197c7405c45
TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2014-06-10_04:54:30

NOT reproduce with LibO 4.1.6.2 and Version: 4.2.1.0.0+
Build ID: 63950ec72806489b41c2109f5c3840dcf22f4c6c

I wrongly report no crash with LibO 4.2.5.2 in bug 80342.

2014-06-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80474

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 80474
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: Mac OS X toolbar background isn't drawn correctly
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
  Reporter: maz...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.3.0.1 rc
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 101664
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=101664action=edit
Active window in the front, inactive in the back

The Mac OS X toolbar background gradient introduced in 4.3 is only drawn
correctly with a single LibreOffice window open. When another LibreOffice
window is opened (e.g. New Spreadsheet or Preferences), the toolbar gradients
of both windows appear broken. The problem remains even when one of the windows
is closed.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open LibreOffice.
2) Create a new text document.
3) Create a new spreadsheet.

Expected behavior:
Inactive windows would use the inactive window gradient and active windows
would use the active window gradient.

Actual behavior:
Inactive windows use the active window gradient and active windows use the
inactive window gradient. When actionable icons are hovered over, the gradient
behind them changes to the correct one. (See attached screenshot for a clearer
picture.)

Simpler, faster crash:

1. Open attachment 101663
2. Select A1:B1
3. Click on Sort Ascending button
= crash

The problem is not linked to the extension of the selection, but to sorting a
one row selection. I propose a new title: Crash when sorting one row
selection

In attachment 101647 and attachment 101663, as second line is empty, automatic
extension of selection is limited to the first line (even if you selected whole
first column: check blue border when LibO ask to extend or not selection).

 The problem is not linked to the extension of the selection, but to sorting

That seems to be it. Open new spreadsheet, populate a single row only, click
sort, crash. It definitely doesn't have to be a case where selection is
extended.
