[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80891] New: Linked image is fully embedded in HTML document
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80891 Priority: medium Bug ID: 80891 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Linked image is fully embedded in HTML document Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: leon.arund...@yahoo.com Hardware: x86 (IA32) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.2.4.2 release Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 102234 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=102234action=edit Image code appears as LibreOffice as if it were text. When I insert a linked image in an HTML document (or edit an old HTML page with a linked image) the image becomes fully embedded in the HTML document. Although the document still appears as intended when viewed in a web browser, this has the following consequences: (A) The file is much larger thanm necessary; (B) In LibreOffice, either the file cannot be re-edited, or the image coding in the document. Steps to create the problem: 1. Save a LibreOffice document as HTML 2. Insert a linked image: From the menu, choose Insert Image From File … Check the “link” box Enter the filename http://grapevine.net.au/~mccluskeyarundell/NoFootpathsBulahdelah.jpg; Click “Open” If requested, click “keep link.” Step 3: Save the document. Expected result: a. The document size should be about 2 kB. b. When re-opened in LibreOffice, the document should appear with the text unchanged and the graphic displayed as expected. Actual result: The document size is about 100 kB. When re-opened in LibreOffice, the document appears as in the uploaded attachment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80875 David Tardon dtar...@redhat.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WONTFIX CC||dtar...@redhat.com --- Comment #3 from David Tardon dtar...@redhat.com --- (In reply to comment #0) Created attachment 102221 [details] The (originally empty) file after opening in Calc. Problem description: When I manually create a 0-byte (empty) file and give it e.g. ODT extension, opening it in Writer shows up a document with some random characters. Also, Writer alters that file (without clicking to save!) so that after that the file has ca 1.5 kB. The file is not a valid ZIP archive, but Writer is able to reopen it. The same issue with Calc. Treating (and automatically resaving) an empty file as an OLE2 object is IMHO a bug, but it is not directly relevant to this bug report... - LO should open a blank document (type of the document should correspond to the file's extension). No. An empty file is never a valid ODF document. Or any other kind of document, FWIW, with the exception of plain text. Making a special case for zero-sized files in the all the detectors, to only detect by extension, is IMHO not worth the trouble. Also, I am not avare of any other application doing this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80855 --- Comment #3 from jensbruhn s...@jensbruhn.de --- I've added a test document. Choosing PNG export, you can see the repaginate progress and after entering the dimension your can see a second repaginate progress. We are producing such an ODT document like the attached one with our software. Our target is to visualize the pages in a fast way, so we coded a macro to export all pages to PNG. We hoped to get the first page really fast, because LO doesn't have to render the whole document, but because of the repaginate progress (?) it takes a long time (some seconds). And exporting every single page causes a new repaginate progress. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

All this sort of stuff: OOXMLValue::Pointer_t xValue(new OOXMLBooleanValue(pValue)); Should be switched from a boost::shared_ptr to an intrusive ptr - also since this is all inside one thread domain we should inline non-atomic inc/dec. operations there too. writerfilter/source/ooxml/OOXMLFactory.cxx (attributes) shows this stuff. writerfilter/source/ooxml/OOXMLPropertySetImpl.hxx + has code for the OOXMLPropertyImpl etc. git log -u -1 c4b7910c120be1c5a8462c20b12734139632a4de shows a change from Kohei doing something similar inside calc. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 80908] New: avoid allocating OOXMLValues when we don't need to ...
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80908 Priority: medium Bug ID: 80908 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: avoid allocating OOXMLValues when we don't need to ... Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: michael.me...@collabora.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.3.0.0.beta1 Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice We spend quite a lot of time on import allocating and quickly freeing again XML properties; eg. class OOXMLBooleanValue : public OOXMLValue { protected: bool mbValue; which can only really hold two states. Instead we should have a pair of these values and simply return either a shared pointer to them or (better) as/when bug#80907 is fixed - have 2x static versions on the stack with an initial ref count set such that they are never destroyed [ in the meantime I guess a static boost::shared_ptr and a static boost::shared_ptr Create(bool bBool); type API might make some sense. Then of course there is the: class OOXMLIntegerValue : public OOXMLValue { protected: sal_Int32 mnValue; I strongly suspect that integer values such as '0' and '1' are some large proportion of these guys; and also our string - integer conversion is not ultra-fast for single digits; so I would attack: case RT_Integer: { sal_Int32 nValue; pAttribs-getAsInteger(nToken,nValue); OOXMLValue::Pointer_t xValue(new OOXMLIntegerValue(nValue)); This code, and instead get the NULL terminated string from pAttribs (cf. the context there) - and pass it to a Create method. That method could then easily special case single character integers returning a reference to a static array of 10x of them - accelerating the common case, avoiding allocation, and falling back to the slower string-int conversion. Just some thoughts there; Thanks ! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76565] In-place editing of input fields - don't work copy paste and cut
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76565 --- Comment #6 from Charles tansta...@libertytrek.org --- Thanks to the devs for Libreoffice, but... Just fyi, while this bug may not be considered a BLOCKER by the developers, but it is a BLOCKER for us. I started rolling out 4.2.4 the weekend before last, and got about 25 workstations done over the weekend. Then, during the week, I discovered this bug, and had to start rolling everyone back very quickly to 4.1.6 due to the wailing and gnashing of teeth. We have many templates with many Input fields on them, and running headlong into this dramatically changed behavior (for anyone with lots of templates with Input fields on them) was jarring enough, but being unable to paste into the Input fields is simply a show-stopper for us. So we cannot upgrade past 4.1 until this is fixed. I'd also really like to see consideration given to my bug 79877 to bring back the old pop-up behavior as an option (I'm fine with the new behavior as the default). https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79877 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
