Select the range and create a chart; Insert, Object, Chart Choose chart type XY(Scatter), select points and Lines. Go to stage 3 by pressing Next twice. Depending in which theme was in effect at the time LO was loaded, the rendering will be different. After that, you can change the theme and the appearance will change, but the rendering won't. Right click on the desktop and select Personalize. (this is Control Panel, All Control Panel Items, Personalization.) There is a central box labeled Change the visuals and sounds on your computer. This is divided into 3 categories: My Themes, Aero Themes Basic and High Contrast Themes. The selected or highlighted theme is the current rendering theme. Windows 7 Basic, though it looks like a classic theme behaves like it is Aero. If this is one of the Aero themes like Windows 7, then the CW dialog should be correct. If one of the Classic or High Contrast themes then it will be truncated. Change to the other class of themes. The rendering should be the same. Cancel the chart and close all instances of LO. You may even have to stop the Quick Start option in the tool box. Then reload LO and bring up the test spreadsheet using the other class of theme. This bug is limited to just Writer's toolbar. :) I hope to suggest doing this removal in the standard toolbar of other modules in the future when i've gone through their OOo stats, so i can recommend useful button replacements. As far as I remember, this behaviour has always been like this, (though in previous versions with Shft+Mouse) I think it's a good idea to change that: corner handles resize proportionally side handles resize on direction See what UX thinks of this. The problem here is that the chart is not visible in the thumbnail. When I insert a new slide as the 1st slide, with some text inside that, it gets a thumbnail with the text etc. So now it is not that pptx'es wouldn't get any thumbnails, it is that the exact chart here is not thumbnailed... There is some standardization from the new button to the format painter button between the various apps/modules, but not after that. (In reply to Adolfo Jayme from comment #6) Having two slightly different Save buttons seems overkill to me. I’d rather stick to the current Save icon, which doubles as Save and Save As (when the file isn’t saved to disk). As they have two different function, 'Save' overwrites the currently open document and 'Save As' allows you to save to a new file and also in a different format, there might be some initial confusion because the icons look similar. I would compare this same confusion for a user looking at print and print preview, as well as spellcheck and autospellcheck. Without a change, it is normal for LibreOffice not to prompt when you close the file. When you make the first change in a drawing, an icon in the status bar at the bottom of the screen is changed to include a red asterisk. If on Windows I copy sig3.dot to sig3.rtf, LibreOffice opens sig3.rtf and displays the rendered document. I have pased the whole contents of the document into LibreOffice from both MS Word 2003 and WordPad (MS Vista SP2). In each case, LibreOffice shows the rendered document. After the operation completed there were 201096 rows of data.
