[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 50699] Template Changer: Allow ability to change a document's associated template
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50699 --- Comment #22 from Patrick Smits batav...@gmail.com --- I understand that this bug IS about adding the ability of replacing templates as a stock functionality of LO. What might make confusion is that it's now marked as Component: Extensions. But in no way that should be about changing Template Changer extension, but about adding it to core LO. If that'll help, I suggest that be changed to Component: Framework or Component: Writer (because it works only with Writer). For me it sure would, because bug 60592 from Mirosław Zalewski about the Template Changer extension was marked as RESOLVED NOTOURBUG. Since comment #3 in this bug, there seemed to be a tendency in this thread to accept a fix for the extension as the solution to this bug. Combined with bug 60592 and the NOTOURBUG seemed like a dead end, hence my new bug report. So I support changing it. As written many times, Template Changer is one of the most frequent used extensions, and it's really justified to have it in core LO, or at least as bundled extension. Adding new bugs that ask for the same will unlikely help when those ones stay open for years. Agreed. What might help is that you change bug 89286 to ask for Template Changer to become bundled with the installer (that's more important than Wiki Publisher I guess). Wouldn't that block a definite solution? What I'd like to know is where you got Template Changer 1.2.7c from, it's not updated neither in LO extensions nor in OO extensions. I download version 1.2.7b, renamed it to a .zip and examined its contents. This allowed me to slightly modify and fix it. P.S. At work it still doesn't install, I get an error that points to a permission problem: (com.sun.star.deployment.DeploymentException) { { Message = You need write permissions to install this extension!, Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @555c018 }, Cause = (any) { void } } The search continues, but now I really have to get some work done ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89141] Messagebox, initiated by a dialog, appears behind the dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89141 --- Comment #9 from cs_...@yahoo.com --- I have tried to isolate the problem using the document that was attached in comment 4 (attachment 113182). It seems the problem lies in LibreOffice (or more precisely probably in the toolkit) and not in the window managers. The window gets pushed in the background by the focus stealing prevention of the window managers, but the window managers work correctly according to the EWMH spec. The problem is, that sometimes LibreOffice sends a _NET_WM_USER_TIME request with a timestamp of zero to the X-server right before mapping the window. And this tells the window manager to NOT give the window focus, when it is mapped. See: http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/latest/ar01s05.html#idm139870829932528 Especially: The special value of zero on a newly mapped window can be used to request that the window not be initially focused when it is mapped. Unfortunately in this case it doesn't help to configure exceptions for the focus stealing prevention as a workaround (neither in compiz nor in kwin), because when deciding if a windwow should get the focus, the _NET_WM_USER_TIME timestamp has a higher priority than the configured exception rules. I have collected X protocol traces of communication between LibreOffice and the X server (using the xtrace tool), which show the problem. I will attach those after this comment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88267] Page orientation doesn't export to .doc/.docx correctly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88267 Timur gti...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Version|Inherited From OOo |4.3.3.1 rc --- Comment #9 from Timur gti...@gmail.com --- This bug is about saving ODT to DOC/DOCX. Problem seems to be page break. That should be found in the document source. And that problem for both DOC and DOCX looks like started from 4.3.3.1 (not inherited, so I change that). Otherwise, bug is not easily reproducible. Your problem might be a new bug. Anyway, please attach there the original DOCX made with MS Office 2011 for Mac OS X in the 1st step. If I understand well, what you call Source file in ODT is not source, but it's ODT converted from DOCX in 2nd step. And destination is 3rd step. You may also rename and re-upload all 3 files and replace those 2, for the sake of clarity. They still may be used in another bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89295] Support for MinGW-w64 and/or MSYS2
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89295 V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu changed: What|Removed |Added CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #3 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Believe David's perspective comes from his recent endeavors to bring a functional 64-bit build for Windows online with VS 2013. That is coming to fruition--and that has required MSVC for reliable results and build speed of Windows executables. With build tools and code optimization for native MS Visual Studio C++ builds, there is no reason to torture the projects productive maintainers--with Microsoft now giving away VS 2013 very little traction to be had for further effort on MinGW/GCC builds--and they did try! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89346] New: MAIL MERGE: Document preview does not handle conditional text correctly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89346 Bug ID: 89346 Summary: MAIL MERGE: Document preview does not handle conditional text correctly Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: s...@zenmotion.de Hi, I've found a display bug in the document preview of the mail merge assistant. Steps to reproduce: 1. create a document 2. link a spreadsheet as database 3. insert database fields 4. create a conditional text with following condition 4.1 condition: [title] != 4.2 then: 4.3 else: 5. use mail merge assistant and click through the setting until document preview 6. scroll through the previewed data (filled fields) if the condition would be false the empty field is suppressed but the conditional whitespace is still in preview. If I print/save the mail merge document, all fields and conditional text are handled correctly. So I think this is just a bug of the document preview of mail merge which does not solve the condition properly. In my case I wanted to display just a whitespace if there is a title (academic grade) to print for the address field. regards, Sven -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
