[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90095] New: UI: Close button acts as OK
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90095 Bug ID: 90095 Summary: UI: Close button acts as OK Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: pierre-yves.sa...@laposte.net Hi Platform: Windows 7/64 Version: 4.4.1.1 Build ID: b5ac74bf8683a92078a2bc8aff97d4b436af63cb Locale: fr_FR Pressing the close button of a dialog has the same result as clicking the OK button. Steps to reproduce: First Issue: In Writer, Calc... (not from the Start Center) 1.File Templates Manage 2.Click to select a template 3.Click Delete in the toolbar. Expected actual result: dialog opens Do you want to delete... 4.Close the dialog with the close button (the cross, not Yes, not No buttons). Expected: deletion is canceled Actual result: template deleted Second example 1.File New Text 2.Right click Default Style in the Styles formatting panel of the sidebar then New, Organize tab, replace Untitled1 by what you want (e.g. Foo) 3.Change tab (e.g. click Indents Spacing). We can see that the name of the new style is already in the list 4.Close the dialog with the close button (cross): style remains. 5.Right click the foo style, you can not delete. 6.Save and reload the document: ghost style has disappeared. I set severity Major because of the possible loss of data (template). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 63416] FILTER: autofilter -- first row lock
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63416 --- Comment #12 from i...@scito.ch --- Created attachment 114181 -- https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=114181action=edit Code parts responsible for current behaviour Thanks for your explanation according to priorities. Since there is a workaround (fill empty column headers with a space) the priority is minor. I've analysed the code by using the online git view since I do not have a LibO development environment. Basically, the following lines of code are responsible for the current behaviour: void ScGridWindow::UpdateAutoFilterFromMenu(AutoFilterMode eMode) { ... bool bHasHeader = pDoc-HasColHeader( aSortParam.nCol1, aSortParam.nRow1, aSortParam.nCol2, aSortParam.nRow2, nTab); aSortParam.bHasHeader = bHasHeader; bool ScTable::HasColHeader( SCCOL nStartCol, SCROW nStartRow, SCCOL nEndCol, SCROW /* nEndRow */ ) const { for (SCCOL nCol=nStartCol; nCol=nEndCol; nCol++) { CellType eType = GetCellType( nCol, nStartRow ); if (eType != CELLTYPE_STRING eType != CELLTYPE_EDIT) return false; } return true; } I've attached the relevant code parts responsible for autofilter sorting, see attachment. Lacking an IDE, I do not know how often ScTable::HasColHeader is used and what the impact of a change of this method would be. This autofilter sorting feature was added with commit http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=2a755c0cd61b619ed14e023ad34fc7596eafdf34 Currently, I do not know what a correct solution would be. Additionally, there is a warning dialog shown if the autofilter is applied with empty cells in the header: The range does not contain column headers. Do you want the first line to be used as column header? This behaviour should be considered too. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90100] New: The function DAYS() returns non-interger values
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90100 Bug ID: 90100 Summary: The function DAYS() returns non-interger values Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.2.7.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: nefil...@yahoo.com Created attachment 114186 -- https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=114186action=edit Bug example (in sheet Calcul, cells H14 and I14) Hello. I am doing operations with the functions DAYS(), INDIRECT() and ADDRESS() and have abnormal results. I finally found that the problem comes from the value returned by the function DAYS(), which are not integers. In the attached example, go to sheet 'Calcul' and cell H14 (coloured in dark pink). You may see that the cell contains the formula =DAYS(D14;C14) which returns as value 364,9724537300. Thus when I lated use this value to find a cell reference as done in the cell I14 (formula : =ADDRESS($H14;B$22)), the result is wrong ($H$364 instead of $H$365). So far, I am working around this by replacing =DAYS(D14;C14) by =round(DAYS(D14;C14)). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90090] Rearranging the UI of Draw
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90090 --- Comment #7 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #4) Mock up is fine, but beleive we should also attempt to establish additional unimplemented drawing controls (brushes, pattern fills, erasure, masking, stamps, .etc) in the drawing tools pane. Yes it would be good to have as many vector drawing controls that are found in similar apps. As I've mentioned, Draw should have a Page tab in the Sidebar for doing layout and design. But moving PDF and other page previews into a Sidebar Pages content panel on the *Right* would not necessarily be the best UX. My suggestion of having a pages tab in the sidebar relates to other similar apps having a layers section within the right sidebar. The only similar apps that have a pages pane/section in its left area is Calligra Flow and MS Publisher. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ad/Microsoft_Publisher_screenshot.png Draw and filter import to .ODG is the primary module for handling PDF--the current *Left* Side pages pane provides the navigation of PDF documents. Position on the *Left* in that role is what most users/programs are familiar with. Yes it is best to keep it on the left so that it is possible to navigate between pages and also work with properties of the sidebar at the same time. The pane just needs to be reduced to its smallest size, so there is more document area room, especially if the document is in landscape view. I would consider that having the pane in its enabled but hidden state is likely the best default view, as there isnt a need to see the pane when a document only has a single page in it. https://twitter.com/MrExcluded/status/560954394909241344 https://twitter.com/irnan9/status/573061569329827840 Beleive the Pages preview pane in Draw uses the same Slides pane from Impress--could be that both will have to be reworked--either as Sidebar components, or as now as but as optional panes. Yes draw and impress share the same code, so the pane is the same between the two. It would be useful to have the right sidebar expanded by default. (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #6) Vertical toolbar attached left is not that awkward, retaining the Pages view pane left and inboard feels comfortable. Will ask a few folks to test drive the new layout. Look forward to hear more feedback. :D Any code pointers on how to reduce the size of the pane? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90114 Bug ID: 90114 Summary: MSI installer - program modules Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Installation Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mattmil...@googlemail.com A inhibitor of LibreOffice progressing into enterprise is the limited control over installed program modules. A current trend in streamlining the activities and procedures of users is to minimalise the amount of information presented to a user to only that needed for their tasks. e.g. MS File Server Access-based Enumeration. Installing a full office suite for every user is counter-intuitive to the Microsoft Office installation choices, and is contrary to current enterprise practise. Schools are also restricted as to the type of software allowed to students in certain situations. e.g. Exams. Supporting two office software variants for use in different situations is equally as counter-intuitive. Further, being unable to isolate a particular module or feature also hampers reactivity when mitigating security concerns. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88140 --- Comment #5 from Yury yury.tarasiev...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Philipp Weissenbacher from comment #4) Hi, Why are you using such an old version? The latest release is 4.4.1 Please download that and test your document there. I need functionality and stability, not new numbers in version field. If 3.* series did its job, I wouldn't bother to upgrade. Especially when I'm working on the big document. However, 3.6.7.2 stopped opening, and 4.4.2 can't save this doc (#88314). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89894] [Feature request] Cover page templates / More quick styles
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89894 --- Comment #4 from sophie gautier.sop...@gmail.com --- (In reply to rderooij685 from comment #3) Hi, First of all, thank you both for answering my question. Thank you for your understanding I was already aware of templates.libreoffice.org, but thanks for letting me know. I'm not that skilled at designing documents, but I can see what I can do. Maybe I can replicate some MS Office templates? Hum, you can't copy proprietary material, it's not allowed. I'm also aware of the page styles. Those are great futures, but it's not exactly what I meant. Microsoft Office contains less of those styles indeed, but what I meant was the styling of those styles (hopefully, I'm clear enough). Those quick styles available in MS Office was what I meant. You can quickly choose for a office look, or a more standard black and white look. Currently, LibreOffice offers the standard black and white look, but no other styles. This is what I'm referring to: http://www.java2s.com/Tutorial/Microsoft-Office-Word-2007Images/ Create_Style_Set___Click_Save_As_Quick_Style_Set.PNG Yes I know, but you can do that in your own templates and exchange styles between templates. Also, the cover pages: http://gilsmethod.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/ boringcoverpageinword2010f.png I'm aware that cover pages are available as templates, but having a few templates in LibreOffice itself would benefit the project in my opinion. There will be more in the next version. We reduced the set because of lack of a mechanism to translate the template for the moment (LibreOffice should have the same set of features whatever the language :) But next version will have that mechanism allowing us to ship more samples. Again, thanks for answering my question! I'll think about contributing templates, but I'm not a skilled designer. No one of us are skilled designer, but we learn a lot from each others and we enhance our skills all together and... with fun :) Hope to see you soon! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
