[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92245] Extensions installed for All Users are lost when upgrading to 5.0
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92245 --- Comment #7 from Pedro pedl...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Stephan Bergmann from comment #6) I guess the default LO installation path on Windows contains the major LO version number (4 vs. 5), but not the minor/micro? Yes, thankfully bug #62303 was partially solved (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62303#c7) If enhancement request https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62303 was accepted then this issue would also be solved for the future (in fact this is the expected installation procedure under Windows). Anybody remember how we handled that from LO 3 to 4? Like Cor, I tend to remember that we never migrated shared extensions across different installation paths, but may be wrong. You are correct. The problem was not solved and assumed it would be on the next major update. http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Install-path-for-LibreOffice-under-Windows-td4041530.html#a4043609 One option might be to copy or move during installation any existing shared extension data from the old to the new installation, but that would need checking that there are no absolute paths stored in that data. Or simply update the install path to \LibreOffice\, warn users that extensions installed for all users will be lost and should be installed again and hopefully this would be the last time this problem occurs... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This is where the File an enhancement request link brought me. I think it would be a good idea to be able to create various views on a spreadsheet in the same way it is possible to create different views on a database table. After going to considerable effort hiding/showing columns in a large spreadsheet it would be good to be able to save that as a view and allow the user to give that view a meaningful view name. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92529] config written during startup ...
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92529 Michael Meeks michael.me...@collabora.com changed: What|Removed |Added Whiteboard||easyHack difficultyBeginner ||skillCpp topicCleanup --- Comment #3 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@collabora.com --- Fair cop - so I'l easy-hack-ize this. The task would be (I guess) to catch and unwind commitChanges() calls during startup that are writing redundant data, and also (ideally) to defer config write-back until after startup has completed - my hope being that we call an explicit flush_() that short-circuits that timeout if we exit. I guess we'd want to hook that into desktop/source/app/ via some new API on any non-published interface implemented by (probably): configmgr/source/configurationregistry.cxx Or - I guess we could overload the semantic of 'flush' there - such that we start out with a much longer timeout to write-back say 10seconds or so - and we reset that on the first flush() - might work better ;-) Thanks ! =) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
