https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90086 --- Comment #4 from actionmystique actionmysti...@gmail.com --- The file has changed since the first post, so adding a heading at the end of the document will show only another issue because there is no bulleted list between it and the previous heading. (the other issue is that you need to perform a Continue previous numbering to get the right number). To experience the current issue, you need to add a heading after any bulleted list anywhere in the document and check that the number can never be corrected: if you try (Continue previous numbering), you'll get a bulleted heading. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91480] allow to build shared libraries in bundled projects on Windows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91480 --- Comment #4 from David Tardon dtar...@redhat.com --- (In reply to Ashod Nakashian from comment #3) Thanks for the detailed feedback David. So, that is probably because libtool finds no known dynamic linker. At least in the case of libwps shared lib was disabled explicitly for non-gcc compilers (actually, it assumes non-gcc to mean mvs/msc). Do you speak about libwps itself here, or about its build inside libreoffice? By the reference to msvc I assume the latter... In that case, libwps is not being built using its native build mechanism on Windows, because that currently cannot produce a shared library! The patch I attached switches the libwps build to the native build mechanism, so it can be used for experimentation. I have a patch to enable it, but, as you note, it still defaults to static linking. I think I know where to look: libtool. As I have said, you should check the build log first. There might be some info message(s) from libtool telling why it switched back to static linking. I agree that a ld-wrapper seems to be needed. I'll experiment with a wrapper and investigate how we could get it to cooperate with libtool to create shared libs. Btw, are we waiting for Windows support of shared libs to enable/test on other platforms, or does shared work on Linux? Do we know these libraries can/do link as shared? I haven't tried building on Linux, and it's easier to ask :) It seems I was not clear enough on that in the initial description... The libraries in question are already built as shared on all platforms. The libraries' native build mechanism (IOW, configure + make) is used on Linux and OS X. It is only Windows that needs special treatment (and the idea of this task is to try to change that). But not with the rest. You mean only with some projects? Not sure I get your point here. I do not agree that there is any need to patch configure or Makefiles. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92617] Base is crashing frequently when EDITING data and switching Forms
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92617 --- Comment #5 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- Created attachment 117180 -- https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=117180action=edit Test case database This was not easy to reproduce, but I have just managed to do so in the attached self-contained database. I don't know if all the complexities and features included in the demo are require to generate the crash. There are 4 tables. Table1, with Table2 containing records that depend on Table1 records and also depend on Table3 records. Table4 has records that depend on Table3 records. There are 2 forms. Table1 has Table1 records with a subform for Table2 records linked to Table1. Table3 has Table3 records with a subform for Table4 records linked to Table3. To make it crash follow these steps: 1. Open Table1 form 2. Enter text in text1 3. Enter text in text2 (which is in the Table2 subform) 4. Press button 'Open Table3' 5. Enter text in text 3 6. Enter text in text 4 (which is in the Table 4 subform) 7. Press the Exit button (do nothing else - if you put the cursor in a Table3 field first it may not crash) 8. LO Base will ask you 'Do you want to save your changes' 9. Press Yes 10. It should crash. There are 4 (very ugly) macros created for testing this. Table4BeforeUpdate is the 'before update' routine for the Table4 subform. OpenForm is the routine for opening the Table3 form from Table2. ExitTable3 is called when the Exit button is pressed on Table3. CloseTable3 is called as the 'Document is going to be closed' routine on Table 3. The crash seems to be due to some sort of timing problem. When debugging in Table4BeforeUpdate there is a nested call to the 'before update' routine for the Table 4 subform. I had to add a delay to that routine to make it crash. In my real system I just do a lot more work in the equivalent forms that creates a long enough delay for the crash to occur more often than not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Same result: Spinning wheel 10 or more seconds to write a date in a cell. I renamed the user-folder… the same… I renewed the caused formatting(?) in all the sheets. The same. The cells which need the most time are cells formatted as date, with a Validity-check. (Don’t know in english…) There are to cells in a sheet called preferences, which have a date for minimum and maximum for the Validity-check. Because it is not possible to make a Validity-check that points to a different sheet, every sheet include 2 columns with the Date-A (Minimum) and Date-B (Maximum) in every row. It works fine until I installed Version 4.4.4.3 Now, after I opened the last-year table, it goes faster in the actual table. After closing Libre Office, it need one time 5 seconds, but the 2. date I write in appears nearly immediately. A few tests later it need for the same operation 50 Seconds… I don’t know why and don’t know what happens here... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91480] allow to build shared libraries in bundled projects on Windows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91480 --- Comment #5 from Ashod Nakashian ashodnakash...@yahoo.com --- Do you speak about libwps itself here, or about its build inside libreoffice? Sorry, I wasn't clear. I think we're on the same page. I've, of course, applied your patch, and do recognize the distinction. I am saying that the native libwps _had_ support for building with msvc[*] using configure/makefile. However that is no longer maintained. I had started with libwps, but also tried other projects since wasn't sure what was specific to it and what more generic. Anyway, I think I know what to do. As I said, I need to wrap link.exe, which as you say is used by libtool. I also found (after reading your feedback,) where configure checks $LD to decide if shared linking is possible (line 13,918). This means the first test to pass is to make the wrapper respond correctly to configure's check. Thanks again for your help. Will get back to you with progress (or issues). [*] See line 15,766 in libwps's configure, for example, or search for msvc or mvs. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92685] New: Add PageNumber Header option ...
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92685 Bug ID: 92685 Summary: Add PageNumber Header option ... Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1 Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: michael.me...@collabora.com We nowadays have a very nice drop-down menu for adding headers and footers in writer. The menu contains a few items; I'd like to add: Add Page Number - to make it easy for newbies that don't know that a page-number is a field (etc.) to trivially add a page number to their documents =) The code to add these items is here: sw/source/uibase/docvw/HeaderFooterWin.cxx // Create and set the PopupMenu m_pPopupMenu = new PopupMenu(SW_RES(MN_HEADERFOOTER_BUTTON)); // Rewrite the menu entries' text if (m_bIsHeader) { m_pPopupMenu-SetItemText(FN_HEADERFOOTER_EDIT, SW_RESSTR(STR_FORMAT_HEADER)); m_pPopupMenu-SetItemText(FN_HEADERFOOTER_DELETE, SW_RESSTR(STR_DELETE_HEADER)); } It might be great to add an: Insert PageNumber menu there to make this common case much simpler. Of course, that would also require a new string: $ git grep STR_FORMAT_HEADER And a new slot for that (cf. FN_HEADERFOOTER_EDIT) which is perhaps a pain - and some code to actually create and insert the field - and then we can argue if a sub-menu with left/right/center is required ;-) and what to do if the header has something in it already ;-) but ... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92612] Right-clicking after applying paint buckets leads to multiple Undo
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92612 --- Comment #5 from Ashod Nakashian ashodnakash...@yahoo.com --- I've submitted a patch to fix this issue. The behavior is as follows: The patch tracks the changes done after entering the paint bucket mode, and allows the user to undo them using right-clicking until they reach the first operation before entering this context. Because the user can undo/redo using other means, the patch takes it into account and will reset its tracking to accommodate this. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92686] New: FEATURE REQUEST: Better UI for keyboard bindings configuration (including two keybindings for the same action)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92686 Bug ID: 92686 Summary: FEATURE REQUEST: Better UI for keyboard bindings configuration (including two keybindings for the same action) Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jna...@gmail.com Configuring keybindings in LibreOffice is major pain in the ass, especially on MS Windows, where Ctrl-Alt bindings are indistinguishable from AltGr (right Alt) bindings used for international keyboards (like Polish programmers keyboard). Notepad++ shows that it is possible to distinguish between Ctrl-Alt and AltGr, but LibreOffice currently cannot do that; this is also against Microsoft recommendations (some netbooks do not have right Alt, so they need to be able to use Ctrl-Alt emulation). Scrolling through the list of possible keybindings is tedious, compared to MS Word / MS Office (and Atom editor) solution of just entering key we want to assign (the advantage is that you see if it is free or not at first glance). This is especially tedious if you want to have backup binding, i.e. two key bindings to the same action: 1) you scroll all the way down to the binding you want to use, 2) you select the action, 3) if there was keybinding, for some [censored] reason LibreOffice rewinds you to that keybinding, as if having it in list of binding would be not enough, 4) you scroll all the way down *again* to keybinding you want 5.) click Modify, 6.) see two keybindings for action. Also, if you select for example Ctrl-Alt-Shift-N for Normal style, and have Polish programmers keyboard, what you would get is 'Ń'... and there is nothing in the keyboard configuration UI that even hints at this issue. It would also be nice to have keybindings in human readable format (XML, JSON, INI, XKB, xmodmap,...), just compiled to binary internal format on loading. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
