[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94213] horrible flickering on window resize
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94213 Michael Meekschanged: What|Removed |Added CC||qui...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Michael Meeks --- This is a pretty grim issue, but showing up some other rather useful drop-offs. It appears that patch #1 fixes the re-sizing for the first window rather nicely. https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/18601 tdf#94213 - release offscreen texture properly on re-size. Then fixes the unit test breakage from patch #1 - make check passes again. Unfortunately (and amazingly) the 2nd window behaves differently to the 1st window - (the first window includes a shell that has been converted into a document type). After some hours of head scratching & debugging it seems this is almost certainly related to virtual-device re-use when a VirtualDevice's OpenGLContext is associated with a window that is not the window we want to render to - then ... we get issues, and undesirable context switches - which in turn appear to cause flicker. It is assumed that a GL context switch implies a glFlush (which we're trying to avoid at all costs to avoid flicker - at least until the double buffering is perfect & enabled). So: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/18602 tdf#94213 - calc re-size flicker turns out to be the status bar. Fixes calc for re-sizing - by turning off some un-necessary virtual-dev bits in the status bar, and also forcing an invalidate on device re-size; that appears to affect only the widget in the top-left corner that doesn't move or re-size when the window shrinks vertically ... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

No I don't have LibreOffice dialogs enabled. I've been using LO right out of the box except for fixing the miniscule font/cell size in the Spreadsheet. Yes, it looks like PDF is a nice work around. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94256] Calc Crashes on sorting, copying sheets (may be related partly to bug 92360).
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94256 --- Comment #1 from Bruce Martin--- This problem has been around for a long time, but is intermittent. When sorting a sheet, especially if a preset range involving first line as field names is involved,Calc will crash, On reloading, any other workbooks that were open will likely have to be restored as well. I have seen this most commonly i=when a larger workbook of as many as 30 sheets is involved. My typical spreadsheets are notably more complex than many users, and involve inter-sheet hyperlinks, and boolean triggered analytics. Cloning of whole sheets and other formatting (usually for cosmetics and readability.) When cloning a sheet, the formulas get modified automatically, making an entire mess! This is apt to happen if there are hyperlinks and/or formulae that link outside the workbook. The spreadsheet may also hacve been working when backed up using Filzilla and a NAS box, then subsequently restored via Filezilla. If the sheet is then sorted, a crash results until all the errors in the formulas have been purged. Sometoimes it helps to copy the sheet out to a separeate workbook created as a temporary sport of repository for the parts, then renamed as needed and subsequently re-exported from the latter workbook back into the original workbook. This tends to avoid rthe paorlem of crashing when a sheet is cloned within tthe single workbook. Note: At times the data may contain multilingual content or handle multiple currencies etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Currently we tend to re-use the OGL context that was previously associated with a VirtualDevice's SalGraphics; however since we un-bind our framebuffers from that each time we clearCurrent - then if we have a new context - we shouldn't try to restore the old context if we have another in-place, but instead just jump on the new context. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93854] Cannot understand relationships between numbers by looking at the chart (usability)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93854 --- Comment #3 from Heiko Tietze--- I'm not sure to understand your request right. Is it to have more statistical features or do you want better graphics? LibO has some wizards to support statistics (Menu: Data > Statistics), and of course you can do any math yourself, and provides a lot of options to tweak graphics. Although both have room for improvements I think real statistics shouldn't be done with a spreadsheet tool. Regarding your second question: There is some work ongoing (and almost finished) to make editing of charts easier. First of all the most relevant options will be available from the sidebar. In the current release you have to right click the chart and select 'Insert/Delete Axis' in order to add a secondary x axis. You should be very carefully with this feature since different y axis might be known but not x. And these features are rather a way to 'obfuscate' the information since normal people are not used to read those graphics right. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
