FYI samuel_m is currently working on cross compiling libo to js with emscripten
here [1]. In the browser we have this thing called WebGL which is a port of
OpenGL ES 2.0. OpenGL ES 2.0 is AFAIU OpenGL 2.0 without the deprecated fixed
pipeline. So if taking this in consideration during the rewrite would be not
much hassle we can have a nice rendering path for free on the browser.

I actually have no idea what the Chart element represents. Internally the type
seems to be OBJECTTYPE_DIAGRAM. That one has already some special handling in

2015-10-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.0.5 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Screenshot showing font colour icon disappearing

Font colour icon in sidebar disappears when changing font colour.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open LibreOffice Writer
3. Type some text
4. Select the text and use the "Font Colour" icon in the sidebar to change its
colour.

Current Behaviour:

Part of the icon (the "a" symbol) disappears. The bottom part of the icon which
shows the colour remains.

Expected Behaviour:

The "a" in the "Font Colour" symbol should not disappear.

Notes:

This does not occur for the "Font Colour" icon in the standard toolbar, only in
the sidebar.

Screenshot attached to show the problem.

Tested on:

LibreOffice 5.0.2 Windows 7 32 Bit

Hi

Problem persists (3/10/15)

Locale: en-GB (en_GB)

Chart is plotted, then Libre crashes via back-up mode (so the work is saved and
recoverable, including the chart). "unidenditfied SEH error" message did appear
today, once.

The problem is not apparent on my Vista PC (Libre 4) but it plots the data
then calls up a chart type wizard - it seems to be this call that crashes the
laptop

The crash is a nuisance but finding why on this one machine is perhaps not
practical - I can use another or live with the recovery outcome.

Regards

Created attachment 119239
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=119239=edit
>From an open-source Project Gutenburg 'Alice in Wonderland', saved as ODT

This file was set up with First/Right/Left page headers, and start page 11, and
closed.
Open file, first page now already has 'Right page header', with no need to edit
or navigate!
Change start page number - header on first page is now a first page header *and
the text has auto-reset to 'First page header'*, which I hadn't seen before,
because my 'start pages' had a blank header.
Save/Close - re-open - back to first page being a 'Right page header' again.

This problem only discovered because a failure in creating a master file (see
bug report 94690) meant that chapters had to have page-numbers set correctly
before PDF creation, with chapter-PDFs being stitched together subsequently.

As with 94690 and 94437, Writer files seem to hold old discarded text, and
resurrect it - in this case innocuously, but in other other cases very
unwontedly.

On 8GB of RAM, 64bit Libreoffice and i7 LibreOffice suit seems lagging all the
time. I even tried giving LO more memory in settings, but it doesn't seem to
help at all.

1)When resizing window, window turns black, freezes, computes everything it
needs and then finally resizes properly.

2)When fast scrolling through properly formatted text document which has only 2
pages, I get about 1-2 fps.

3)When hovering over any tools menu, I get black popup window before the tools
load for few few ms. Not a big deal, but it shouldn't happen on powerful
computers.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
LO suit (any package) doesn't re-draw as quick as it should be. Not snappy at
all :-(

Oops, I actually didn't, changed the wrong setting.. but I don't want to reboot

built on debian-wheezy with localbuilt gcc 5.2.0 and its libraries,
running in an environment chroot'ed to debian-sid. So, setting status
NEW.

However, I have not managed to provoke a failure with daily dbgutil
bibisect versions 2015-10-02 or 2015-10-03. So setting whiteboard
notBibisectable. And I have not provoked a failure on Windows Vista
with daily build from 2015-08-13_05:36:16 (build id 5605b75...).
Given that not all Linux versions crash, my lack of crash on Windows
may not mean much.

An embedded Firebird database also crashes. `make debugrun` in
progress.

I made some testing since my last comment.
Mostly on Win7 Home 64bit.
The following LO versions do NOT show the replacement table correctly (non-BMP
not displayed:
LO4.4.5.2 (Standard install), rest admin install 5.0.1.2x64, 5.0.2.2x86,
4.3.1.2
This old installs show it correctly, a few missing:
4.1.3.1, 3.5.7.2.

When I use them in a test file they show up sometimes all, some or 2-3 missing.

The display in a document might be related to bug#57999. If I use a new
document or an Arial only doc as 1. file then (Font list is WYSIWYG) the Emojis
show up in the same session. Restarting LO and using Emoji test file mostly a
no show or partial show.

Created attachment 119237
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=119237=edit
sample file

In LO 4.1, the gradient labelled 'Square' was renamed to 'Quadratic' and its
look was altered to always show as a square even when the shape was a
rectangle. This causes problems as other odf software (calligra, mso) show it
in the old way, and ooxml files import with the incorrect looking square
gradient.

Also the gradient labelled 'Rectangular' was also changed 'Square' at the same
time and this doesnt correspond to how the gradient looks.

As this also is in AOO 4.1.1, i'm assuming it was merged from their code. The
XML has them as and .

With the sample attachment, drag the bottom part of the square shapes to test
the behaviour between 4.0 and master.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94724] New: Toolbar 'Area Style / Filling' adds entries to it that are available in the drop down

2015-10-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94724

Bug ID: 94724
Summary: Toolbar 'Area Style / Filling' adds entries to it that
are available in the drop down
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com
Blocks: 94722

Steps:
1) Open Writer
2) Draw a shape
3) Set fill in toolbar to hatching 'Black 0 degrees'
4) Notice that it has selected '[Black 0 degrees]' which is a new entry added
to the bottom of the list.

This problem will also arise in gradient when selecting Clay (it shows
'[Argile]'), Silver, and Sunset. It also happens in bitmaps when a bitmap name
has 'Pattern' and 'Aqua' in them, as seen in bug 94713.

OK, the Mac involved has been rebuilt from the ground up, just in case (it
needed a cleanup anyway) - problem no longer present. This was even with a
user profile ported from the old system.

Rebuilt under OSX 10.11 with all the trimmings, installed 5.0.1 + en-gb lang
pack, no problem.

Downloaded 5.0.2 from libreoffice.org, started OK. Added en-gb lang pack, no
problem starting and adjusting to UK.

Apropos user profile (as per suggestion), I zapped then it so LO could recreate
it, also works. As existing profile was 65M in 1024 files and fresh profile is
1.6MB in 125 files I'll leave the new one as it holds no traces of legacy.

Conclusion: more likely an issue with OSX installation. Closed bug (if that
breaks any protocol, apologies, please amend).

I've tested this a bit more and the problem occurs without involving templates
(besides the default one, since there's no template-less document as far as I
under it). The issue seems to be triggered when I change the 'Line-Style' to
certain lines. For example, it does not trigger with the regular single line or
the dotted line, but it will consistently trigger for the double-line with the
thicker upper line.

Ok, I modified the page number in the settings for "CHAPTER I. Down the
Rabbit-Hole".
No matter what I change it to, 0, 2, 10, 12, the first page becomes blank (it
even says "blank page") and the headers are otherwise correct.

OK, but you still have to explain, why do you think it's a different bug than
Bug 76239.

> solution this problem usually is used the font from Ubuntu or downloaded
> from somewhere to Internet.
Downloading from "somewhere" is never a good idea. If anything, try the
official git repo under extras/source/truetype/symbol. You have there the ttf
file as well as the sfd source to build yourself using FontForge. You can
browse the history of the file there, and pick whatever version you want:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/tree/extras/source/truetype/symbol

> In Russian community is famous problem, for example:
> http://forumooo.ru/index.php/topic,4548.msg28953.html#msg28953
Sorry to say, but this has nothing to do with kompilainenn's report. These
forum threads are about LO releases, while kompilainen's report is only about
master (otherwise it must be a dup of Bug 76239). kompilainenn claims that the
version of 201 448 bytes doesn't work, but the one with 203 372 bytes works.
Now, the one with 203 372 bytes *is the one* that was shipped with LO releases
up to 5.0.2.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94621] On DISPLAY, OPEN, EDIT the first page header is shown the same as the right page header

2015-10-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94621

I suggested using odd numbers, not even ones! What I was getting with this
example was
(a) a bad start on opening the document, with the First page showing as a Right
page header,
(b) a good reset after changing the start page number, so that the first page
got a first page header (and that as the text, because I put it there in the
first place), but
(c) after Saving and Closing in a good header state, then on Openig again, the
first page immediately reverted to be a Right page header (again with that as
the text).

If you're not getting the same behaviour for (a), (b), and (c), then (as Alice
would say), curiouser and curiouser ... I'm getting this consistently, with
any document I use, except that where I set the first page header as blank,
then I have to manually blank it after (b).

I confirm this, and I found yet another example:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\LibreOffice\org.openoffice.Office.Common\Save\Document\AutoSave]
"Value"="true"
"Final"=dword:0001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\LibreOffice\org.openoffice.Office.Recovery\AutoSave\TimeIntervall]
"Value"="5"
"Final"=dword:0001

Tools - Options - Load/Save - General, modify TimeIntervall value, press OK. ->
Fatal error.

However this is not related to Windows registry, presumably one will get the
same error when a setting is finalized through an extension or by other means.

I don't see other solution, than all of these settings have to be found, and
fixed similarly to bug 89417.

Finally I have solved the problem by replacing Ubuntu 14.04.3 by Ubuntu 15.10.
During my research I found a recommendation to update the driver of the Nvidia
graphic card installed in my PC. As I am not experienced in updating drivers in
Ubuntu, I tried the most recent edition of Ubuntu and it helped. For me the
problem is solved.

Have this issue using LO 5.0.2.2 in Windows 10 64bit sys. Agree that this is a
bug. I know of no situation where I would want the program to change screen
position on 'save.' Jumping to the last cursor position on 'open' or re-loading
a document for editing makes sense, but doing so on 'save' does not. Thanks!

there are very infrequent updates because of the limits imposed by the
appstore, like the 50MB limit and of course the overall stability of master :-)

Both things did change, google doesn't enforce 50MB anymore, and I found a
hackaround for the most frequently reported crash in appstore, so I'll upload a
new version soon → worksforme :-) (for TDF)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94552] View hardware acceleration greyed out

2015-10-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94552

Hi there,

I am having the same problem with stable release 5.0.2

Version: 5.0.2.2
Build ID: 37b43f919e4de5eeaca9b9755ed688758a8251fe-GL
Windows 10 x64, nvidia card

What is interesting is that this DOES NOT happen on my laptop that has Intel HD
card.

What is more interesting is that despite downloading the same libreoffice, both
my PCs with Nvidia have the -GL at the end of the build id and both have
hardware greyed out, but the Intel HD laptop does not have the -GL at the end
and the hardware acceleration is available.

This seems a minor problem but running libreoffice without hardware
acceleration feels like a step in the dark ages with menus being slow (the menu
appears all black and flashes before the items appear). I spent 30m thinking it
was my java but i dont think it is.

Thanks
