[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96324] rotated text and formula in svg

2015-12-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96324

Hi,
"Use OpenGL for all rendering" was disabeled while I created the original SVGs.
I turned on the option and generated the SVGs again. Subscripted N is now
visible. However, the 90 degree rotated formula is not displayed correctly. Had
to turn the option off again because LO is incredibly slow with this option
enabled.

I see no conflict since if you hit "F" it opens the remote files window while
if you hit "alt+F" it opens the File menu

moreover I see that "e" is already assigned to Templates

am i missing something?

I confirm the bug under Win8.1 x64

I can reproduce it on a recent 5.2.0.0 daily build and in older LibO releases

interestingly AOO 4.1.0 renders correctly this file.

I've opened it under OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x86_64 in read only mode with
LibreOffice 5.0.2.2. I tried to modify a text in a table (page 7, the text
"Travaux"). The letter "é" is bloqued but i can confirm that the keys "2" "4"
"6" and "8" on the numeric keypad, the keys "2" (shift+"é"), "4" (shift+"'"),
"6" (shift+"-"), "8" (shift +"_") on the alphabetic part of the keyboard are
not bloqued properly (on a french keyboard too).

I've done the same test under Windows 7 with LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 and the keys
"2","4","6","8" on the alpabetic part of the keyboard are not bloqued too.

Thanks

To me, this is a duplicate of bug 96116. What your screenshot shows are not
actual diacritics (is that what you mean by “extended characters”?), just
pieces of other characters.

OpenGL is going to be disabled by default again in 5.0.4, by the way.

In fact, the issue is : when the ppt is open in readonly mode, the letter "é"
(on french keyboard) can change a text in the document, but the document itself
stay in read-only (as you can see it in attachments)

Other accented letters on french beyboard are bloqued as expected in read-only
mode.

@Armin, thanks.

Setting component over to filters and storage, rather than against calc alone
(it just has the harder time of things).

Looks to need a tweak to set a fallback for sane
density_unit/X_density/Y_density values to pass in creating the bitmap
container in JPEGCreateBitmapParam, I guess it would go in jpegc.cxx parser.

response to comment 3 :

in fact it does not occur when pasting the character é. I've tried it. The only
way to enter this char (while the document is in read-only mode) is to use the
key "é" on a french keyboard.

Pasting it won't change the document.
Using ALT+0233 don't change the document too.

My PPT was saved on the root (C:\Modele ppt conseil.pptx) (probably the reason
for the read-only mode when opened).

I guess that the key code was forgot somewhere.

All other french accented characters (like "è" "ç" "à") on a french keyboard
are bloqued as expected, except "é".

This needs to be tested by someone with a French keyboard.

Please ignore Comment #5 since the Portuguese keyboard does NOT have an "é"
key. The "é" character is created by pressing the acute accent key and then the
E key, which is not the same.

Layout isnt the correct word as we use 'print layout view' (

Submenu's labels cant always cover everything that is available in the submenu
and the only entry in Format > Text Box and Shape related to formulas and other
objects is 'Area...'. Writer treats objects differently than in other apps,
which is why having a different submenu label was chosen.

Additional information, I've tried the following versions:

libo-4.3.3.2 debian/Linux, the serial printing was OK
libo-4.4.6 MacOSX-10.10.5, serial printing did not work.

>From previous years (yes, it's our christmas card mass-mail...) I know, that it
works with libo-4.3.x under MacOSX.

I've no clue, whether the regression is on MacOSX only or whether Linux
installations are also affected...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96310] New: LO will hang for 30 plus seconds after opening EMR software alongside the LO suite (1 processor fully consumed)

2015-12-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96310

Bug ID: 96310
Summary: LO will hang for 30 plus seconds after opening EMR
software alongside the LO suite (1 processor fully
consumed)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mwallin...@nrh-ok.com

Created attachment 121110
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=121110=edit
Meditech and LO process stack

I have a strange issue with LO all the way back to 4.3 release that I was just
made aware of (4.2 the issue does not occur with). No matter the hardware (VDI,
Dell, HP, on 32 or 64 bit Windows 7) the LO application will consistently hang,
not crash (no work is lost), (LO will not bring itself back to the foreground
when clicking from taskbar once opening or closing Meditech EMR(alt tab does
not bring the application forward either) for sometimes over 30 seconds. Once
the timeout is complete the LO application comes back to life with zero issues.
The LO application that is open (calc, writer, or impress (doesn't matter which
LO application you use)) will always come to a halt after launching this other
application (no error messages, nothing in the event viewer, windows debug
reveals nothing once launching the other application). The LO application that
was open is now a screen that is a painting of the application that was
launched; you can move any other screen over the LO window and it will look
like you won the solitaire game (screen painting). During this operation of
hanging 1 processor will be consumed completely by soffice.bin. Once the
application is unfrozen the processor activity goes back to a normal idle. If
you launch the EMR software, then run LO there is no issue.

I have tried disabling OpenCL within the tools area; nothing changed in the way
the application froze once the other application was launched. I did pull up
procmon (nothing jumped out there as being an obvious offender). I also ran
process explorer from sysinternals (I have attached the process explorer of
these two application threads.) No other software we own behaves in this nature
when running alongside LO. Anyone have any input on what could have changed
from 4.2 through current to cause the LO suite to freeze after another
application is launched?

2015-12-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 96316
Summary: LOKView disabling edit doesn't work as expected
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.0.beta1

  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bugzi...@hadess.net

libreoffice-5.1.0.0-9.beta2.fc24

I would expect that:
lok_doc_view_set_edit(view, FALSE);

Would:
- hide the non-printable characters from the view
- not allow the view to go into edit mode by itself when clicked

Instead, whether to go into edit mode should be handled by the program
embedding the view. You can still start with editing enabled by default, but
disabling it should make it stay disabled.

Date conditional formatting presets do not have useful options like Date later
(or before) then "$TIME".
For example my project's deadline is 01.02.2016 17:00. I want to highlight
cells, which have time more then this as RED. Currently I need to enter long
formula:

OR(A1>DATE(2016;2;1); AND(A1>=DATE(2016;2;1); HOUR(A1)>16))

which is absolutely unhandy.

Status: UNCONFIRMED

multiple overlapping graphics inside frame

When using multiple graphics inside a frame, the arrangement of the graphics
does not stay the same after closing the document and re-opening when the
graphics overlap. This isn't a show-stopper bug, but it does require searching
the document for such behavior before printing or exporting to pdf so that it
can be corrected. See attached document for example of bug. In this example,
the "no circle" symbol requires being brought to the front every time the
document is opened so that it is on top of both of the other graphics.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96247] Make lok_doc_view_new() easier to use

2015-12-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96247

The way we discussed fixing this was to:
- install the liblibreofficekitgtk.so in the "normal" libdir
- correctly version the library's soname

The library should know how to get to the "default" (whatever was the target
installation) LO path, and can probably use other means, such as an envvar to
override the default value.

This would make it easier to switch the backend for debugging, but would make
the bindings work out of the box.

tried saving as .doc, .docx., .rtf. I now see the warning about saving in other
formats, but the manuscript is in .odt, which is not convertible to .kdp. Is
there a way to convert to a microsoft acceptable document while saving format
changes?

fdo#56456 fdo#75578 fdo#63271 fdo#75805 Improve hyperlink dialog

Changes made:

* Rename "Back" to "Reset" like in other dialogs (eg. Writer - Format -
Character).
* Apply-Button, which reflects the old behavior of the dialog, and
doesn't
  close it automatically.
* Added an OK-Button, which applies the changes made and automatically
closes the
  dialog.

With this both use cases should be handled:

* Inserting one single URI with simple close.
* Modifying multiple URIs without closing the dialog.

Hopefully all users are happy with this ;)

Hi Christophe,

Opening your file locally in read-only mode, I confirm you can add the "é"
character to this string, and also 2, 4, 6, 8, from numeric keypad, or same
keys from first row keyboard with Shift , or Altgr (~{|\).
However, this can do only into a table and cannot be saved.
So, this make a displaying anomaly and a read-only defect.
Tried with
LO 5.0.3.2 Build ID: e5f16313668ac592c1bfb310f4390624e3dbfb75
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR)
& Windows 7 Home.
Does somebody confirm this, particularly on other OSes or is it only a Windows
issue on french locale?

I did a few research on my free time...

Downgrading the nvidia-driver to 352.55 does not change the problem.

Downgrading LO to 4.4.5.2, contrary to what I wrote in my first post, does not
change the problem - which is *really weird* since I've used 4.4.5.2 for some
time without any trouble before last upgrade to LO 5. This leads me to think an
underliying library has been upgraded somewhere and this triggers the bug.

For some time (yesterday), changing OpenGL interface to use the X11 one instead
of the NVidia (Gentoo's command eselect opengl) one solved the problem. Maybe
the bug does not triggers on sundays :-)

I'm trying to pinpoint which underlying stuff ould be responsible. This may
take some time...

Looking at commit history around that code, I came across Bug 92460 fixed in
c18f11587d37f285a95447dd8996c8b605732e00

Making this change would mean that we are trying to release a SolarMutex on a
thread that doesn't ever lock it resulting UI freeze as reproduced by many in
Bug 92460.

So, no this change shouldn't go in. Please correct me if I am wrong.
