vlookup file whe it is used in many rows

I have a Calc file with two pages. The second one use VLOOKUP on the first
page.

The original file was created in v4.3.5.2 and it's work correctly.

When I open the file in v5.0.4.2 doesn't work correctly. It changes all the
correct values (text) to numbers.
It doesn't work in version 5.0 compiled at 14/01/2016

In the attached file you must go to the second page, I use VLOOKUP at column G.
If you copy one cell that use VLOOKUP to other cell in the same column (or int
he same cell) it changes all the values in that column to numbers.

If you modify the function it's work correctly again (Try to put an space
before the parenthesis)

I just wanted to comment that while this could be considered "cosmetic" in the
sense that the functionality is still there, I think it would be totally absurd
not to correct this for first release possible.

The invisibility of these arrows is terribly confounding, especially for the
novice user, and the UI is deeply affected by this.
Besides, such arrows have been an integral part of any PC application for such
a long time, that not being able to have them correctly displayed in a 2016
release would look perplexing and worrisome for anyone evaluating the
application to decide whether to use it.

In view of this, I would definitely consider this a "critical" problem.

All these numbers are Microsoft fields. They are either numeric or text fields.
When they are text fields, we just output the text. For the numeric ones, we
check whether they are dates/times and those we approximate with one of 3 ways
to express date/time. For other numeric values, we just output them as doubles.
If someone has the time, we can accept patches for the function
libvisio::VSDNumericField::getString in VSDFieldList.cpp:65 and following. It
could be possible to approximate the different time-strings closer and then
also output the different other numeric fields in the right numeric type.

to a remote mysql 5.1 instance

My connection to the mysql server was created via the db wizard, using Connect
to existing database, chossing mysql, then in the next step, selecting JDBC as
the driver type.

Could be that it is your connector jar which is causing the problem, or else
the type of connection setup in LO - how is it setup JDBC or MySQL (Wizard
First step) ?

>From your description, it sounds like you set this up directly as a JDBC
connection, and not as a MySQL connection choosing JDBC as the connector type
in the subsequent step.

First of all I want to apologise from my english.

I think that I found a bug in LibreOffice Writer.

I use Writer for write documents in spanish and catalan primarily.
For this reason I have installed spellchecker in spanish and catalan.
I have the problem with the autocorrect. The autocorrect doesn't detect
correctly the language that I use.

For example: I write in spanish “intelectual” and the autocorrect change it for
“intel·lectual” that it is catalan.

I checked the language in “format > character >” and the language is the
correct. And I checked the language in "tools > AutoCorrect Options..." and the
language is the correct

There were also some changes made in 5.1 dev with respect to filtering of
tables in the code that only applied to mysql(jdbc) connection configurations,
and not to JDBC connections in general - perhaps what you are experiencing is a
rebound effect of those changes.

Ad. 1) I have just installed LO 5.0 ver. x64, opened presentation with last
uncorrected formula: the first formula on the right part of screen 3: 
color white {{color magenta N} = int from{A} %isigma(y) dA =0}
It contains sigma `Symbol` font which is displayed deformed on my screen!

I have just found new hint:
the sigma symbol displayed deformed changes to normal proportions when I
switched LO Impres window from full screen to smaller window using right upper
corner icon (on the window bar - next to X). Switching back to full screen
again changes the sigma symbol into deformed version.

Ad. 2) To resize formulas you just: right click on the formula object from
outside and choose from the context menu `Position & size` (not sure about
English version of it). In the window that will appear you have to "unlock"

sorry but I don't understand if you are in favor or against giving back
resizability to that dialog.

just like the autocorrect replacement table was and it was enabled again.

I think the customize shortcuts panel would benefit too from vertical and
horizontal manual resize to have a panoramic view of all the existing shortcuts
as explained before... there's user imput too there when you manual modify or
enter new shortcuts

a potential improvement would be to give different default sizes to the 
"category", "function" and "keys" boxes at the bottom which actually have the

the "key" could be safely shrinked since even the longest key combination (i.e.
Ctrl+Maiusc+F11) barely fills half of the space available and some of the saved
space could be given to the "function" box which has the longest strings

Ad. 1) I have just installed LO 5.0 ver. x64, opened presentation with last
uncorrected formula: the first formula on the right part of screen 3: 
color white {{color magenta N} = int from{A} %isigma(y) dA =0}
It contains sigma `Symbol` font which is displayed deformed on my screen!

I have just found new hint:
the sigma symbol displayed deformed changes to normal proportions when I
switched LO Impres window from full screen to smaller window using right upper
corner icon (on the window bar - next to X). Switching back to full screen
again changes the sigma symbol into deformed version.

Ad. 2) To resize formulas you just: right click on the formula object from
outside and choose from the context menu `Position & size` (not sure about
English version of it). In the window that will appear you have to "unlock"
size changes and set Width or Height of you preference - remembering to keep
"aspect ratio" locked.

Windows 7 Pro on Lenovo Thinkpad
I use Kaspersky protected browser and Firefox for certain websites
If Libre Office is open or opened at the same time it malfunctions:
- colours on screen are reversed 
- recently used files thumbnails become completely black
-files open at the time screen splits horizontally and is unusable

This does not occur when Firefox is used without the Kaspersky protected brower
in use

I have testes with master build: bbfeab3b13b48c99cfa2f94c8c34bc3efef7faa9

The "Example ODS for testing" has all Lines defined, when this file save as
"xlsx" and load with LO then you get following result. (The numbers of lines
can be show in "Picture of Lines LO and MS")

- The Linie 1 has change the Width from 3,50 to 2,50 
- The Linie 2 change to Linie 1, and the Width change from 3,0 to 2,50 
- The Linie 3 change to Linie 4, the Width is right (tested with: 0,75 and
1,75) 
- The Linie 4 change to Linie 1, and the Width change from 0,5 to 0,05.
- The Linie 5 has change the Width from 1,00 to 0,75 
- The Linie 6 has change the Width from 1,50 to 0,75 
- The Linie 7 has change the Width from 2,00 to 2,50 

In "Picture of Lines LO and MS" you can see for my opinion how convert the
Lines between the LO and MS

But under Excel i has not found the change of "width" is that the reason why
the "width" general not work!? 

I would like to change the Line-Style, descript in "Picture of the Lines" is
that okay?

Lorsque j'utilise Writer, il arrive fréquemment que la mise en forme des
tabulations et des puces, voire même du texte, soit perdue ou modifiée à la
fermeture du document, même si les données ont été sauvegardées.

Par exemple:

- des portions de phrases soulignées en pointillé (et sauvegardées comme tel)
apparaissent sans soulignement à la réouverture du document;

- des tabulations soulignées en pointillé (et sauvegardées comme tel)
apparaissent sans soulignement à la réouverture du document;

- des boîtes de formulaires à cocher, qui sont parfaitement en ligne avec les
tabulations pointillées à la suite de mots ou phrases d'un document,
réapparaissent décalées à la réouverture du document.

- des puces enregistrées sous forme de points réapparaissent, à la réouverture
du document, sous formes de flèches.

this up.
We are very interested in LibreOffice displaying think-cell charts correctly,
so please let us know if we can help. We have made a note in our tracker as

A few fundamentals before I explain the issue:

* think-cell is a COM add-in for PowerPoint and Excel

* think-cell creates all its charts from native PowerPoint shapes and objects,
using the PowerPoint COM API. This means that PowerPoint users who do not have
think-cell installed can not only view but also edit the charts with plain
PowerPoint. The think-cell elements then appear as regular PowerPoint shapes
such as textboxes, PowerPoint shapes like rectangles or lines, and Microsoft
Graph objects.

* As far as LibreOffice is compatible with PowerPoint files, a chart created
with think-cell should therefore display the same in LibreOffice as a chart
created manually in PowerPoint by using the same objects via the UI. 

* The body of most think-cell charts (all except think-cell's Mekko and Gantt
chart types) is created with a Microsoft Graph object. To insert such a Graph
object with plain PowerPoint 2007 and later, click PowerPoint > Insert > Text >
Object > Microsoft Graph Chart. Graph was Office's standard chart engine up to
Office 2003 and is still included in current Office versions, incl. 2016. When
you doubleclick such a Graph object in plain PowerPoint 2007 and later, it asks
the "Do you want to convert this chart?" question, noted by raal in comment #6.

(The current think-cell v7 still uses Graph because it is the only editable
Office chart object that works in all PowerPoint versions, Office 2003 and
earlier as well as Office 2007 and later.)

* think-cell creates labels inside the Graph object where possible. In the
examples posted in this bug report these are the labels that show the correct
content in LibreOffice (though slightly off position).

* Using VBA, you can check if an object was created by think-cell as explained
in think-cell KB0073, https://www.think-cell.com/en/support/kb/0073.shtml


*** The issue observed by Brent ***

Labels that think-cell cannot create inside Graph (typically due to limitations
in Graph) are created as standalone PowerPoint textboxes containing OOXML 
fields. Plain PowerPoint itself uses  fields, e.g., for auto-updating
dates in the slide footer. To create an  field with PowerPoint:

1. Go to tab Insert, then click Text > Header & Footer.
2. In the Header & Footer dialog window, check "Date and time", choose "Update
automatically". To make the issue easy to spot, choose a format using day and
month names (not numbers).
3. Confirm with "Apply to All".
4. A footer with the date in the chosen format will appear on the slides.

I have attached an example file, created with PowerPoint 2013 (15.0.4787.1000)
and think-cell 7 (curent build 24146): "LibreOffice #97083 - think-cell
example.pptx". It contains:
1. A chart created by think-cell, plus a screenshot of how it looks in
PowerPoint (even if think-cell is not installed). 
2. An  date field as created by PowerPoint for its footer, plus a
screenshot of how it looks in PowerPoint.

In the example file, the date format chosen for the field in PowerPoint uses
day and month names.

It appears that the tested LibreOffice Version 5.0.4.2 (Build ID:
2b9802c1994aa0b7dc6079e128979269cf95bc78), does not correctly display 
fields, as all fields - including the one created by plain PowerPoint - show
the date in numbers, instead of the text that should replace it. 

 fields are described in section 21.1.2.2.4 of the Office Open XML File
Formats specification, Part 1, 4th edition (at ECMA-376 at
http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/Ecma-376.htm), quote:

21.1.2.2.4 fld (Text Field)

This element specifies a text field which contains generated text that the
application should update periodically. Each piece of text when it is generated
is given a unique identification number that is used to refer to a specific
field. At the time of creation the text field indicates the kind of text that
should be used to update this field. This update type is used so that all
applications that did not create this text field can still know what kind of
text it should be updated with. Thus the new application can then attach an
update type to the text field id for continual updating.

Document showing the different sizes, despite the same formula configuration.
It also includes a screenshot in case this bug is not visible on the side of
the reader.

I have a long document .odt with many tables. When I add a formula in a cell,
it looks okay, and all look identical, sizewise.

When I reopen the document, some - and always the same - cells display a
different size. The control codes in the cells are all identical. 
When I click on the too small formula, they increase to the desired size. At
reopening, the sizes are too small again. 

I include a demo document showing this behaviour. This demo document asks -
after the resize-by-click action if I wanted to save the modifications. Then
the document is okay at reopening.
However, this does *not* happen in my original document where I have to resize
each and every time of opening it; including after a resize and 'Save'. The
latter is just cumbersome: in order to get the size correct.
This includes printing, which makes it almost impossible to use LibreOffice in
our case, as long as we no better workaround than clicking all formulae.

Still there are possibilities to improve style handling and make life easier
for you too :)

There are bugs around this, or maybe a draft /container issue somewhere..
