[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97246] New: Farsi (Right to Left) languages bugs
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97246 Bug ID: 97246 Summary: Farsi (Right to Left) languages bugs Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: oracula...@yahoo.com Created attachment 122073 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=122073=edit Writer CTL bugs Hi! In Persian documents (Right to left CTL) there is some bugs: 1) AutoCaption Category in persian(RTL) have english names, such as Illustration, Table, It must be "شکل" , "جدول" , 2) Line numbering in Right to Left Pages: shows latin numbers (When we set numrals to "Context", It must show persian numbers, not latin numbers) 3) Line numbering in Right to Left Pages: when I insert a persian separator text, shows it in reverse order! 4) In a Right to left paragraph: In Alignment page of paragraph dialog, justified last line set to default. but in preview field shows a left to right paragraph. 5) In persian paragraphs: In the position page of Bullets and numbering dialog and Outline Numbering dialog: Numbering alignment Left works fine, but It must renamed to Right, and preview field must show Right to Left paragraphs. 6) Persian language is Right to left. So, every persian book starts on left page. Left pages in persian have odd numbers, and Right pages have even numbers (Unlike english). In Writer Books view mode and automatically inserted blank pages (in printer) is buggy for persian document. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97247] New: Focus goes strange when typing UP/LEFT at merged cell at top-left corner
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97247 Bug ID: 97247 Summary: Focus goes strange when typing UP/LEFT at merged cell at top-left corner Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.3.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: t...@fixedpoint.jp How to reproduce: 1. create new spreadsheet 2. merge cells A1 and B1 horizontally 3. focus at B2 4. type the UP key to go the merged cell 5. type the UP key again What was observed actually: Now focus looks on B1, not on the merged cell. (Besides, it is OK if the focus starts at A2 in step 3.) Expected behaviour: Focus should stay the merged cell, as in Excel. Similarly, merging vertically adjacent cells is also affected: 2'. merge cells A1 and A2 vertically 3'. focus B2 4'. type the LEFT key to go the merged cell 5'. type the LEFT key again (then A2 seems selected.) Reproduced with LibO 4.3.3.2 on Debian jessie and LibO 5.0.4.2 on Windows 7. This behaviour was originally suggested and discussed at [1]. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80110 --- Comment #7 from Heiko Tietze--- What an ugliness ;-). >From usability POV error messages have to be specific, actionable, and user-centered. Users should either perform an action or change their behavior as the result of the message. He or she should be informed about the reason for a problem and get help on how to solve the problem. The message has to be phrased clearly, in non-technical terms and without obscure error codes. First was reported here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94368 Then new one was reported during testing: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95213 Now they are fixed. However, i still have problems with numbering: 1. I have the same .DOC file (attached). 2. We use online service zoho.com for online documents and so on. After importing that my .DOC file into it and then exporting it to the .DOCX i got sans-serif font (looks like Arial) for numbering instead of serif. 3. I had a conversation with zoho.com guys, they doublechecked and told me it's a LibreOffice issue. 4. I checked that .DOCX with Google online docs, Microsoft Online office - they display it correctly, numbering has serif font (as all the text of that document). 5. Furthermore, if i export to DOCX using LibreOffice itself, everything is OK. But that's definitely an issue, not sure why that happens. Please, find attached files: 1. Original .DOC file. 2. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97258] Crazy behaviour when pasting percentage numbers from text files
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97258 Eike Rathkechanged: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME --- Comment #1 from Eike Rathke --- That means that before or while pasting 13% the cell was formatted as Text, effectively forcing the content to type text instead of number (and the content probably being left aligned). Formatting the cell to some number type does not change the content, but then the leading ' indicates that the content *could* be interpreted as a number. The ' is not part of the cell content, hence searching for it is not possible, but once the cells are formatted as number the content can be converted from text to number by selecting the cells and then use Find: Search For: ^.+ Replace With: $0 Under Options activate * Current selection only * Regular expressions and then hit Replace All. Another possibility is to install this useful extension: http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/ct2n-convert-text-to-number-and-dates I don't remember how 3.5 (which btw is rather old) handled pasting text, but in a more recent 4.4.7 or 5.0.4 pasting 13% text yields a numeric value and not text. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97262] New: FILEOPEN: Open CSV file from OneDrive for Business-synced folder on Windows creates sync error for lock file
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97262 Bug ID: 97262 Summary: FILEOPEN: Open CSV file from OneDrive for Business-synced folder on Windows creates sync error for lock file Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.3.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: frodeseve...@gmail.com Created attachment 122098 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=122098=edit Images depicting the situation on a OneDrive synced folder Calc creates a lock-file for CSV files opened. This lock file causes sync error in OneDrive for Business-synced folders. OneDrive for Business complains about unsupported characters in the file name. The nomenclature for the files is such: CSV-file: pois_ekstra.csv Lock file: .~lock.pois_ekstra.csv# I found this link to a KB discussing invalid characters in filenames in OneDrive https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2933738 There seems to be a problem with both the '~' and '#' characters in the lock file filename. Resolving the issue is not easy. In my case the lock file seems to be a remnant of a stale Calc session, or more likely a remnant of an incident when Calc was runing and I shut down the computer forcefully by holding the Off-button until power off. Also a run-out battery might have caused the file to linger. In any account the file does not show in the file list in Windows Explorer on Windows 7 with standard settings. I turned on 'Show hidden files, folders and volumes' to make it show up. Most users are oblivious of this setting, and so the error is mysterious, with no way to fix the sync error; OneDrive seems to complaining about an error in a filename of a file which is not present in the filesystem anymore. I found a work-around: By adding a '.tmp' suffix to the filename, the sync error disappeared. This is due to the fact that OneDrive for Business does not even try to sync files with a '.tmp' suffix. I extracted this information from the help info for the sync error (Norwegian only, no URI, sorry): Du kan ikke laste opp OneNote-filer eller *TMP- eller *DS_Store-filtyper. Du kan heller ikke laste opp desktop.ini, tomlene.db eller ehthumbs.db. Hence this nomenclature would work: CSV-file: pois_ekstra.csv Lock file: .~lock.pois_ekstra.csv#.tmp -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97258] New: Crazy behaviour when pasting percentage numbers from text files
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97258 Bug ID: 97258 Summary: Crazy behaviour when pasting percentage numbers from text files Product: LibreOffice Version: 3.5.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: leprech...@email.it I have LO 3.5.7.2 in an Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit platform, installed from standard repositories. I pasted a percentage copied from a pdf (or from a rough text file) into a cell. Suppose A1. Something like this: 13% There is no white spaces nor form feeds into the cell, I carefully checked. I can make arithmetic with this cell (f.i. =A1*2 gives 0,26). If I format the cell as a percentage, LO adds a ' at the start of the cell: '13% transforming thus this cell into a text. This cell become unusable, arithmetic doesn't recognise it as a number. Text to number extension say "nothing to do". I have to erase the ' by hand as the sole solution. If I don't format the cell as a %, I can't modify the precision of the number (number of digits after the , (Italian) or . (English). So, apparently, from an arithmetic point of view, LO treats this cell as a percentage, but is is unable to modify precision, considering it as text from a different point of view. This doesn't happens if I input the same string (13%) from the keyboard. You can imagine when a user like me have to paste a huge range of such data. No way to transform the whole range into a range of % cells, but changing every cell one by one by hand. Search and replace doesn't find the ' at the beginning of the cell, and Text to number extension is unable to detect the '13% as a string, and writes "nothing to do". This behaviour is crazy and incoherent. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
