Am export to PDF seems to work properly (it's different from the LO
screenshot), so perhaps this is just a 12.04 visual thing. There is a similar
sounding bug relating to flipping and LXDE as well. If my test document works
for you, then it isn't a big deal.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97864] New: Cell content showing on screen does not update when OpenGL enabled (Need scrolling)

2016-02-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97864

Bug ID: 97864
Summary: Cell content showing on screen does not update when
OpenGL enabled (Need scrolling)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc

  Reporter: suokunl...@126.com

Created attachment 122647
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=122647=edit
Screenshot: there is "abc" in cell B2, but does not show up on screen.

Start from 5.1.0.2 rc, when I type in a cell in Calc the cell content does not
update for screen display. A work around is to scroll up and down the scroll
bar.

Bug disappears when disabling (uncheck) OpenGL via Tools - Options -
LibreOffice - View - Enable OpenGL for all rendering.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure OpenGL is enabled.
2. Type in "abc" in any cell.
--> "abc" is in the cell, but you do not see it on screen.
3. Scroll the scroll bar.
--> "abc" shows up.
4. Disable OpenGL, then do step 2.
--> "abc" shows on screen after you type it in the cell.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93967] LibreOffice Crash always after try to save

2016-02-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93967

Saving a file in the Tinderbox version of 5.2 takes VERY long. Would this be
an effect of it being a Tinderbox build, or is this likely to be a bug in LO
5.2?

(Also, the keyboard shortcut for "Paste Special" in the right-click menu for a
cell has been changed in this build, from "a" to "s" - hopefully this will not
happen in the Production version? Why would someone change that after over
what, over 10 years? I end up doing it wrong every time... habits are hard to
break!)

It is also taking a VERY long time for this version to crash... usually
happens after 3-7 saves; now on my 30th save and still no crash.

In which version and os do you reproduce the problem? In master it seems solved
in my Linux build but it reproduces in 5.0.4. The patch was ported to 5.1 but
not to 5.0, perhaps that was the problem. I have cherry-picked for 5.0 now

Additional code changes have been made to the code so in master the patched
BlendBitmap function seems to not being used anymore, I'm rebuilding 5.0 in my
testing machine to verify the is a change of behavior.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97860] New: misplaced diacritics of Persian language

2016-02-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97860

Bug ID: 97860
Summary: misplaced diacritics of Persian language
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: nim...@gmail.com

Hi,

In this most recent version the diacritic characters of the Persian language
appear misplaced.

The vowel diacritics that need to go above the character (like ُ and َ) are
displayed below the character and that one that normally should go below the
character (ِ) is displayed above the character. Changing the font does solve
this problem to some extent but I am required to used a specific font and by
the way didn't have this problem in earlier versions.

Hope this gets fixed soon as I am doing my master's thesis and have a limited
time, hence the critical severity. I'm ready to provide further information if
it may be needed.

Thanks.

I tried to reproduce the bug and provide an example, but was unable to do so. I
was a bit confused...
My own old file still showed the bug.
When I checked the version number I found that it is no longer 5.0 but
apparently an automatic update to 5.1.0.3 had occurred meanwhile.
So this may have solved the problem.
- Unconfirmed but apparently resolved!
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Since LO uses a system harfbuzz, this problem will be encountered by many users
when they have harfbuzz update on their machine.

My suggestion is keep this bug open while a real fix is not yet found, either
by a new harfbuzz update or LO fixed it in the next minor release.

If i save a new document (save as …)libreoffice crashs (Mac OS X beachball of
death). I found this is only the case, if the finder elements let down in the
dialog window (shows the finder elements) or in the document folder of the user
are aliases/links to files or folders. The open dialog works fine. There is
only a problem with saving files. I tried to change the path of the working
folder in the preferences as workaround. But this change is not going with the
save dialog. It works only in the open window.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97862] New: With an ODT and DOC open, copy from ODT causes SIGSEGV.

2016-02-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97862

Bug ID: 97862
Summary: With an ODT and DOC open, copy from ODT causes
SIGSEGV.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: matti.aar...@zmailer.org

(Critical as "crashes every time I am working on certain pair of documents.")

I have a .DOC and .ODT open in two separate windows.
I am preparing for copying of text from .ODT to .DOC, and after a region select
in ODT pressing COPY (Control-C) results in SIGSEGV. (The region spans several
Headings, and body matter including a few tables.)

In rerun for debugger, the DOC document window was hidden entirely behind a
browser, and copying did not cause problems, but when I clicked at KDE bar of
active program objects to bring it forward, SIGSEGV happened again.

It won't crash if I start copy from heading + follow it with content matter,
but if I span over a heading with content matter before and after it, an
immediate crash.

Also, the system is less prone to crash if I export .ODT as .DOC, and restart
the edit session with two .DOCs.

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

I noticed your UI Render is default instead of OpenGL. Is it OK with OGL as
well?

2016-02-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon

It too me a bit of time to work out how to get into Beanshell. In case anyone
else is curious (someone comes onto the dev IRC channel every now and again to
ask about it), you need to:

1. Open a new writer document
2. Go to tools -> Macros -> Organize Macros -> Beanshell...
3. Find a .bsh script, then click on edit

At this point, you have the Beanshell editor.

you are right...
with current 5.2.0.0 alpha even if I has OpenGL flagged it wasn't applied...
I had to flag the "force OpenGL" option too to see it really enabled

after doing this I can see the tab border still missing while the field borders
are now correct.

so I'm updating the screenshot.

half of the bug is fixed, half is not.

This bug is persisting. Nothing has changed. There is a semi-automatic process

You must try with a backup file (one with size of 8MB).
IHMO the one with 7kb size after autorecovery is useless.

I know what file I should use, but this file does no longer exist!
The crash happened after some hours of work when hitting "save" for the approx.
10th time. Before that, saving the file worked, but the backup that was saved
before that day does not contain the changes. And there are only 2 .bup-files
to choose from.

A new try will not succeed, the filesize has shrunk from orignially 8 MBytes to
7 kBytes after auto-recovery.
I already tried to open the file on another computer using _Open_Office, the
spreadsheet was empty.
When I try to open the automated backup file, all I get is "general I/O error"
message. This file also shrank down to 7 kB.

Confirm that on my Windows 7 x64. Not just menus though, it doesn't show the
document content also. Tried clean install, deleting user profile. Looks like a
video driver or VC++ issue to me (program is not redrawing content properly).
You can click on a blank space and the menus will appear (although the fonts
look fuzzy). You can open say Options and try to go through various sections,
but it will always show the first open section on the right.
