[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97899] Numbering format

2016-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97899

After more research, I think I understand the problem.
Elements of the list may have or may not have styles. If there is no style, the
format is changed in conjunction with the text. If the style is, according to
the style.
Problems until a few:
1. It is to be seen clearly, if you put the mouse over the number. I do not see
right style and the right font.
2. When working with RTF, the document contains many styles. Just now, I was
not able to apply the formatting for the first number in the list, with unknown
reason.
3. In the document, which must be one "list", "Lists" is a lot, and it is
unclear how to consolidate them into one. List item can erraticaly jump from
one list to another when editing document.
The most offensive, that the "MS Word" works fine with this nonsense.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.1.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com
CC: kris.kr...@gmail.com

Steps:
1) Open Impress
2) Draw a shape
3) In the sidebar area content panel, drag the transparency slider and notice
that all content panels in the sidebar refresh constantly during sliding.

The behaviour isnt as bad in Writer, as the refresh only seems to happen at the
end of the drag. Not setting this to bibisect as 5.1 replaced the spinbox with
a slider.

I believe so too. Since most applications (actually all others that I know) are
able to retain the jumplist, I believe there shoudn't be any hindrance for LO
to do the same. I do suggesting testing with having the MSI installer not
remove existing LO shortcuts.

I compiled on Ubuntu 16.04, and flipping works well - BUT it always takes the
"else" path (whereas in 12.04 "if" returned true), so my suggestion in Comment
19 still seems valid to force this in all flipped occurrences. Pasqual can
probably confirm that the ELSE path is always chosen in 14.04 too.

Same problem with the current master.
That said, did you try with a presentation in which the option "Autofit Text"

know?
Computing the correct font size each time you edit a text bloc takes time.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97899] Numbering format

2016-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97899

We are now trying to implement LibreOffice in a big organization. We are even
willing to pay for support when we find with whom to work in Russia. My bug
reports began to appear just as a result of the beginning of the implementation
LibreOffice.

I think you simply do not work with contracts and business documents. Working
with numbered lists in LibreOffice not tenable. At the same time, the new
version is even worse and less logical than the previous one. The problem is
not even the end-user training. The problem is that the work with lists of
unpredictable and illogical. The user encounters a problem in the most
unexpected places. Format the list using LibreOffice often impossible. And,
often the same result can not be achieved in the same method.
Generally, it's not just a bug in the program, it is the lack of understanding
of how it should work. This lack of a clear logic. And it really is a serious
problem for the end user. The problem is not only not the most serious, but the
most annoying. The problem is complex, because It includes compatibility
problem, and the problem of functional.
I even I can not write wher "lists" is not working properly. Because work is
simply defies logic. It is always different. Font, margins - everything can be
changed, and always different. And solution also always different.

The second most annoying problem is the "work with tables". It is easy to
describe, but it is not easier to work on it. The logic is clear in general,
somewhere justified. But the work as a whole much more complicated, and it is a
problem to implement.

The rest of the bugs that I can see in Bugzilla, it's just working moments.

Wrong sum under LibreOffice 5.1.0.3

Please see the attached ods file.

In the Column A, the sum were wrong since A9 (=sum(C9:I9)).
A2-A8 were correct.

If I changed the formula to sum(C9:H9) or sum(C9:J9) the sum were correct too.
Only wrong when I set it to sum(C9:I9).

The following attached images showed this.

Besides, only LibreOffice 5.1.0 has this problem. I tried it with LibreOffice
5.1.0.3 Windows versions running under Windows 8. All other version I tested
so far were correct.

I haven't tested it with 5.1.0 Linux version, but 4.4.7 under Linux the sum
were correct too.

Both answers are not correct. The function must return two numbers: 2 and 6. It
is the multimodal characteristic of the function.

Created attachment 122704

example odg

I would like to further clarify what i was proposing with this enhancement.

So the proposal isnt to change the current behaviour of inserting an ODG as an
OLE Object (Insert > Object > OLE Object), but instead to allow the Insert
Image dialog to insert the contents of an ODG file into the current document in
the same way that it does for an SVG.

One of the main advantages that would be gained by inserting an ODG file over
inserting an SVG is that an SVG file is treated as a single non-editable vector
image, while an inserted ODG would be a editable grouped collection of vector
and not vector objects. Basically no different than opening the ODG in Draw and
copying and pasting its content into your document (Paste Special's Drawing
Format).

So with this functionality, i could have sent someone the attached odg file of
a button and they inserted it into their Writer and easily change the button
label to whatever they like. This functionality would be highly beneficial, as
we could have similar ODG files in the gallery and in Draw's future
stencil/symbol gallery.

distribution dialog

When 3 or more shapes are selected, the Distribution dialog
(.uno:DistributeSelection) is accessible in the toolbar in Impress and Draw,
but the action opens a dialog for a user to complete his/her distribution
needs. So UNO commands are needed for the various distribution functions, so
that they can included in a toolbar split button similar to align
(.uno:ObjectAlign) and arrange split (.uno:ObjectPosition). These UNO command
will likely also be used in the context menu and in the sidebar.

The most important of these uno commands is to distribute the spacing evenly
between objects horizontal and vertically.

minutes (a habbit from growing up with cumputers in the late 80's) the program
reverted to a much older version. Today I lost 30 minutes work. A few days ago
I lost 4 hours.

Very serious fault which will drive me to Word is it continues despite ha ving
used this or another versions for year.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97905] Regression: current style does not show up in 5.1

2016-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97905

--- Comment #2 from sergio.calleg...@gmail.com ---
Happens with any document.

Issue started with the 5.1 series. In 5.0 styles work OK, in 5.1 there is this
minor nuisance of the current style name not appearing until you click.

I am on kubuntu 15.10, Intel graphics.

Tried with both the graphic drivers as distributed by Ubuntu and the most
recent (in fact from git) drivers. Makes no difference.

Also tested with compositing on and off in the window manager. This makes no
difference either.

The fact that things work fine in 5.0 does not mean it is a bug in LibO. May be
still an issue with graphic drivers that gets triggered by something different
that is going on in 5.1 wrt 5.0.

When I have the possibility, I'll try on a machine with almost identical setup,
but (old) nvidia graphics.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97916] New: Line fixing disappears when automated storage is running during page view mode

2016-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97916

Bug ID: 97916
Summary: Line fixing disappears when automated storage is
running during page view mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: erichspitze...@gmail.com

Dear ladies and gentleman!
This is not a severe but an annoying bug.
In a calc document I set lines as fixed so that they do not disappear when
scrolling . Now it happens, that I go into the page view mode to look how a
printout would look like. If now during that page view mode the automatic
storing happens, all the settings of lines on all the tabels of the document
have disappeared!
Please try to fix that, because it is annoying.
Thank you and have a nice day!
Erich Spitzer

2016-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93120

And as in comment 18, and initial description, this is now exclusively an issue
of redrawing the thumbnail view or icon when mouse over focus shifts or as the
tool tip is being repositioned.

It is normal, consistent and is acceptable given that that portion of the
canvas is being redrawn. It is less noticiple in OpenGL because it is
accelerated, and it is not overly objectionable as it is rather hard to
reproduce--slowly pushing the tool-tip to force the redraw of that thumbnail is
hardly a normal action.

I'd say it is good enough and be done with it -- believe we can close WONTFIX.
Alternative of "anchoring" the tool-tip is much less appealing.

No, it is not a dupe of any of these. Yesterday when I removed libreoffice-gtk3

Enter. I've been entering text from the Landmark or Region field from this

recreate the file appears but does not show the file. In Windows Explorer the
file is shown as in use. I tested also LibreOffice 5.111 but the bug is still
there. Deleted newer Versions of LibreOffice and installed the last stable
Version 5.05. This works fine. If needed I can upload the ODS files.

Sorry. Let me lay out clear STR.

Prep
A. install George Douros' "symbola" font if not already available, available
here http://users.teilar.gr/~g1951d/ this provides a font with know Unicode
coverage beyond the BMP.

B. also helpful to have an install of BableStone BableMap (Windows)
http://www.babelstone.co.uk/Software/BabelMap.html
or (Gucharmap) for viewing graphemes for the upper Unicode planes

C. download attachment 121921 an ODT with some SEP Unicode used

STR
1. launch recent build of LO master

2. disable OpenGL rendering (Tools -> Options -> View)

3. exit LibreOffice

4. open command window and change directory to libreoffice\program for the
build

5. open attachement 121921 from the command line, i.e.

swriter.exe
%USERPROFILE%\downloads\tdf71603_Unicode_1F300_tdf92505_arrows_mergedSample.odt

6. note the font fallback should be performed, and no blank unknown characters
should be shown in the Liberation Serif section at the top (fall back on
Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 will be Segoe UI Symbol

7. exit the document, and open a new blank writer document

8. open the Special Characters dialog

9. change the font to Symbola

10. scroll the code table views into the Supplemental plane 1 beyond U+

11. note that the code tables are well formed, and glyphs are readable

12. enter 1F550 in the Hexadecimal U+ field to move the code point table to the
clock face emoji

13. mouse click on the
U+1F550 CLOCK FACE ONE OCLOCK

14. notice the glyph is placed into the Characters: buffer

15. use paste button --> glyph is inserted into document

15. mouse click on the
U+1F552 CLOCK FACE THREE OCLOCK

16. notice the glyps is misplaced into the Characters: buffer and the buffer
becomes distorted.

17. add additional glyphs by clicking -- the Characters: edit/paste buffer
becomes completely unusable. Any content pasted with the Insert button is
garbled.

Can't confirm with LO 5.4.0.2. Tested it with OpenSUSE 42.1 64 bit rpm Linux,
MariaDB and direct connection to MariaDB.
Could create a new table. Could input data. Could add a new field to the table.

Please give a step by step-description.
Could it be you created a table without primarykey?

Have had a look to the video.
You have changed the name of the subform, where the button is placed in, to
"MainForm". The name of a form has nothing to do with the position of main or
sub. So you created a main, called "MainForm" and also a sub, called
"MainForm".

Seems you expect you could change the position of a control from one form to
another form by renaming the form. This won't ever work.

The only possibility to move the control to another form is to use the
navigator.

If you wish an enhancement for this: There should be a listbox inside the
control-properties. With this listbox and all main, sub, subsub and so on it
should be possible to switch the control from one form to another. But why
should anybody create such a functionality, if it works with the navigator?

I will set this one to Resolved and Notabug. Feel free to reopen and argument
for such an enhancement.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90506] Master Layout Lost When Saving .ppt Files

2016-02-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90506

Going through my instructions to reproduce the bug above, I saved off an
".fodp" copy at each step, resulting in "Example_odp.fodp",
"Example_ppt_before_close.fodp", and "Example_ppt_after_reopen.fodp".

I found that "Example_ppt_before_close.fodp" and "Example_odp.fodp" where
basically the same, differing in only 18 lines and both showing the expected
Slide Master when re-opened with LibreOffice.

However, "Example_ppt_after_reopen.fodp" differs from "Example_odp.fodp" on 759
lines and does not show the expected Slide Master when re-opened with
LibreOffice.

On a hunch, I created a completely blank "Blank.ppt" file in LibreOffice, saved
it, closed LibreOffice, re-opened it in LibreOffice, and then saved a copy as
"Blank_ppt.fodp". This "Blank_ppt.fodp" only differs from
"Example_ppt_after_reopen.fodp" on 3 lines.

Here are the line counts from running $ wc -l *.fodp
  1133 Blank_ppt.fodp
   698 Example_odp.fodp
  1133 Example_ppt_after_reopen.fodp
   699 Example_ppt_before_close.fodp

Because the blank file is so similar to the file after re-opening the ".ppt",
it looks like the Slide Master information is either not being saved to the
".ppt" file or not being read from the ".ppt" file when it is re-opened. But, I
do not know enough about the ".ppt" file format or LibreOffice's save/open
procedures to confirm that on my own.

Have tested with LO 5.1.1.1, also LO 5.0.4.2, OpenSUSE 42.1 64bit rpm-Linux and
MariaDB direct connection:
SELECT "Date" FROM "Database"."Table" AS "Table" WHERE ( "Date" >= :FROM AND
"Date" <= :TO )
Shows all dates beginning with 'FROM' and ending with 'TO'. Same result as
SELECT "Date" FROM "Database"."Table" AS "Table" WHERE ( "Date" BETWEEN :FROM
AND :TO )
So I can't confirm this bug.
