Affect by method of launch shows up as in bug 71603, where launching form the StartCenter does not "enable" functional font handling. But you do get functional font behavior if using CLI (e.g. "swriter.exe %USERPROFILE%\documents\testDocument.odt") or using the OS file association and launch from Windows Explorer. And at that point when launched, fallback and emoji autocorrection ends up "enabled". Which can be confirmed by checking the list of defined "emoji" in Tools -> AutoCorrect -> AutoCorrect Options dialog. If "enabled" and working, it will show a character for each :: substitution. But the glyphs all look to be drawn from system font--so Seoge UI on Windows Vista, 8, 8.1 and 10. If not working--many of the :: entries will show a place holder character. But even when "enabled" in the AutoCorrect Options list, there is another issue in font handling that has been preventing display on the document canvas of emoji glyphs in the selected font. Either a placeholder character is rendered, or the cell that should hold the glyph gets no character and adjacent characters collapse over the space. Happens even for paragraphs using fonts that shouldn't need fallback for emoji glyps that are defined for SMP codepoints (i.e. > U+). Really seems they both are related issues in font handling for deciding that a font has codepoint coverage and its glyphs should be used for the given language of a document or a paragraph. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98785] New: [FORMATTING] Strange Character-Spacing on Mac OS X with justified allignment
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98785 Bug ID: 98785 Summary: [FORMATTING] Strange Character-Spacing on Mac OS X with justified allignment Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: freeplayer2...@hotmail.com Created attachment 123736 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=123736=edit Screenshot1_LibreOffice_Mac shows the rendering in LibreOffice on Mac OS X. //characterspacing is present Strange Character-Spaces on Mac OS X with justified allignment Version: 5.0.5.2 Build ID: 55b006a02d247b5f7215fc6ea0fde844b30035b3 Locale: de-DE (de.UTF-8) Mac OS X 10.11.2 Modify Page left, right, top 2,5 cm bottom 2,0 cm Paragraph Style: Based on default Style. Add Allignment to„justified“ and linespacing to 1,5 lines“ Step 1: Open LibreOffice Writer. New Document. Step 2: Insert the following text: of the line? he thought pressing himself back against the wall trying to make himself invisible in the dark, was all that planning and energy wasted? He was dripping with sweat now, cold and wet, he could smell the fear coming off his clothes. Suddenly next to him, with a barely noticeable squeak, a door swung quietly to and fro in the night's breeze. Forschungsdesigns" des Teilprojekts G im Rahmen des AERTIGFF Forschungsverbundes (2.3). Could this be the haven he'd prayed for? Slowly he slid toward the door, pressing himself more and more into the wall, into the dark, away from his enemy. Would this door save his hide? Step 3: Create New Paragraph Style based on default Style. Set Font to Arial. Modify Allginment to "justified" and linespacing to "1.5 lines". Change Paragraph-Style of the inserted text to the modified "Default Style". Step 4: Modify Page-Settings: Change Page-Margins to: Left,Right,Top to 2,50 cm Bottom to 2,00 cm Now the text passage "Forschungsdesigns" des Teilprojekts G im Rahmen des AERTIGFF Forschungsverbundes (2.3)." should look strange. The distance between the single characters is modified. Exporting the document from LibreOffice to PDF has the same strange spacings between the characters. Open the same file (send via email) on another Windows 10 System (iMAC with Windows 10 VM in Parallels), with LibreOffice 5.0.5 does not have the spacing-problem. Too, the exported PDF-File on WIndows 10 looks fine. I also tried this on a older Version of LibreOffice 4.x. In the following OpenOffice-Board I found this (german) discussion. From that I understand that this problem is limited to Mac OS X. Windows and Linux is fine with character spacing in justified allignment. http://de.openoffice.info/viewtopic.php?t=64356 Screenshot1_LibreOffice_Mac shows the rendering in LibreOffice on Mac OS X. //characterspacing is present Screenshot2_PDf_MacOSx shows the rendering in an PDF created on Mac OS X. //pdf shows same strange character spacing Screenshot3_ODT_from_Mac_on_LibreOffice_Windows shows the File_1_mac_os_x.odt in LibreOffice on Windows 10. //same file like mac os x but no character spacing ?! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94613] In the Template Manager Template Folders Cannot be Renamed
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94613 Regina Henschelchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #2 from Regina Henschel --- With default settings for template paths, create a new "folder" in the Template Manager and save a template to it. Then go back to the Template Manager, click on the name of the "folder". Now you are in edit mode and you can change the name. There is no need for a context menu or special key, you can simple edit the name as you would edit other fields. The name changes are registered in the file groupuinames.xml; it does not change any folder name on disk. But the situation is not as easy. In Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Path you can add other paths to the item "Templates". And only one of them can be marked as "the default path for new files." In former versions of the Template Manager it was actually about the properties "read-only" and "writable" and in this meaning it is still used in the renaming feature. So when you now try to edit the "folder" name in case the "folder" belongs to a path which is not the default path and therefore handled as being read-only, then you cannot edit it. So there are three issues here. (1) The UI gives no message, why renaming is not possible. (2) The meaning was changed from "writable" to "default", but the feature 'renaming' has not been adapted. (3) The UI gives no hint, that renaming is possible. I write "folder" because it is not really a folder in the sense of the OS file management, but it can contain template files with total different paths. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
