We *require* simple examples anyways so if you have some ultra complex sample

Because we require samples? I don't get it. Anyways this is being closed as

Sample CSV with SUMPRODUCT() instead brackets.

I think not always but in many situations you can involve the formula with the
SUMPRODCUT() function, it is an array function so you don't need the brackets.

And open the csv with it works fine for me.

If you are going to convert in array the formula, you need first to change
something before use Ctrl+Shift+Enter, like add an space to the end.

OTOH, in many array formulas it's easy to use SUMPRODUCT() function because it
is an array function, and you don't need the Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

Also, you can try to rename your LO directory profile (see

Meanwhile, let's decrease the importance of this one, since:
- it's not a crash
- not reproduced by someone
- seems to concerns only Winx86

Muhammad, good good!

yeliz, I assume you aren't working on this any longer, you assigned the bug to
yourself in October, but did just one commit. For bugs like this, that many
people can work on, as there are dozens or hundreds of separate changes that
can be done, assigning it to one person is not useful.

Hi MarjaE,

Unfortunately if find and replace doesn't work than there isn't really an
automatic way to scrub it. I was one of the ones that wrote the macro for
writer to purge private data.I'll think about it but nothing comes to mind
other than manually changing the text that you don't want others to see.

This likely will be closed as NOTABUG, an enhancement request could be added to
allow find and replace in draw but that code is significantly different from
Writer or Calc.

has anyone tried a recent 5.1.x daily build?
hopefully the issue is not present in future 5.1.2 release

@tommy27, *

On Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US with
Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 1d5767c6e464b914812867aac5c3ccd0745dd1ea
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default (and GL);
TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2016-03-20_00:02:24
Locale: en-US (en_US)

Continue to see this, but beleive there are two aspects to mishandling of the
:: substitutions:

1. method of launch

2. support for non-BMP codepoints by language in use

I think they are both related to incorrect font handling and need for fallback
font selection both with and without OpenGL (even the new DirectWrite/GDI+
based layout on MS Windows). Affect by method of launch shows up as in bug
71603, where launching form the StartCenter does not "enable" functional font
handling.

But you do get functional font behavior if using CLI (e.g. "swriter.exe
%USERPROFILE%\documents\testDocument.odt") or using the OS file association and
launch from Windows Explorer.

And at that point when launched, fallback and emoji autocorrection ends up
"enabled". Which can be confirmed by checking the list of defined "emoji" in
Tools -> AutoCorrect -> AutoCorrect Options dialog. If "enabled" and working,
it will show a character for each :: substitution. But the glyphs all
look to be drawn from system font--so Seoge UI on Windows Vista, 8, 8.1 and 10.

If not working--many of the :: entries will show a place holder
character.

But even when "enabled" in the AutoCorrect Options list, there is another issue
in font handling that has been preventing display on the document canvas of
emoji glyphs in the selected font. Either a placeholder character is rendered,
or the cell that should hold the glyph gets no character and adjacent
characters collapse over the space.

Happens even for paragraphs using fonts that shouldn't need fallback for emoji
glyps that are defined for SMP codepoints (i.e. > U+).

Really seems they both are related issues in font handling for deciding that a
font has codepoint coverage and its glyphs should be used for the given
language of a document or a paragraph.

@Jay
it seems to me you are trying to convince me and Ernest that we should like the
new split button. as we already told multiple times, we don't like that and we
have more than valid reasons not to like it.

this button can be very useful for some users (and I'm happy they can use it)
but annoying for others... but it seems that you don't want to understand why
some people don't find it useful.

anyway after discovering that an advanced setting can be used to restore the
old button, that's enough for me and I'm happy with it. the greyed out visual
hint is gone, but I can live even without it...

the "take home point" I'd like the UX-team is going to learn from this is that
any UI change should consider likers and haters as well...

any new feature is always welcome, but I think it's always better to leave the
door open for the user that should always be free to decide whether to adopt
the new UI feature or stick with the previous one

Could you get a backtrace:

When you reproduce the crash, you can hit retry in the "assertion failed"

Ok, sounds like this can be closed.

Colin: in the future, you could modify the default style of your document
(sidebar - styles). Also, always paste as unformatted text. Then the formatting
will go according to your style definition.

I think, that it is correct, that it is not allowed, that a user can delete
files and folders from the "share" directory.

Copying files to the users directory would not help, because he would still see
those from the "share" directory.

If you have admin-rights you can delete the folders in shares/templates or move
them to another location. If you are an enterprise you might exchange the
templates in folder share with your own ones. So I think, there is nothing to
do inside LibreOffice.

Hi Cor,

thanx for taking care of that bug! I'm not placing the image on the master
slide because I'm using it as a visual cue for the last item on the slide, i.e.
it appears at the same time as e.g. the last bullet point.

Yes, the images that disappear on subsequent slides are the same as the one on
slide #2 (at least I think so ...) - it should be an SVG-File.

At least for me, the "old bug" caused only some images to disappear, not all.
Hence, at least the effect is same-same :-/ ...

Best regards,

Christian

Ok, I mostly understand what you want.
For "footer the next 4 pages", do you manually copy the footer to each 4 pages,
like could be thought from your steps in comment 5? And this manual work is
frustrating you and you would like a range-based solution ("Style for the n
following pages")?

I think, the current behavior is correct. If the file is in the installation

Strange Character-Spaces on Mac OS X with justified allignment

Version: 5.0.5.2
Build ID: 55b006a02d247b5f7215fc6ea0fde844b30035b3
Locale: de-DE (de.UTF-8)
Mac OS X 10.11.2

Modify Page left, right, top 2,5 cm bottom 2,0 cm

Paragraph Style: Based on default Style. Add Allignment to„justified“ and
linespacing to 1,5 lines“

Step 1:
Open LibreOffice Writer.
New Document.

Step 2:
Insert the following text:

of the line? he thought pressing himself back against the wall trying to make
himself invisible in the dark, was all that planning and energy wasted? He was
dripping with sweat now, cold and wet, he could smell the fear coming off his
clothes. Suddenly next to him, with a barely noticeable squeak, a door swung
quietly to and fro in the night's breeze.
Forschungsdesigns" des Teilprojekts G im Rahmen des AERTIGFF
Forschungsverbundes (2.3). Could this be the haven he'd prayed for? Slowly he
slid toward the door, pressing himself more and more into the wall, into the
dark, away from his enemy. Would this door save his hide?

Step 3:
Create New Paragraph Style based on default Style.
Set Font to Arial.
Modify Allginment to "justified" and linespacing to "1.5 lines".
Change Paragraph-Style of the inserted text to the modified "Default Style".

Step 4:
Modify Page-Settings:
Change Page-Margins to: Left,Right,Top to 2,50 cm Bottom to 2,00 cm

Now the text passage "Forschungsdesigns" des Teilprojekts G im Rahmen des
AERTIGFF Forschungsverbundes (2.3)." should look strange. The distance between
the single characters is modified.

Exporting the document from LibreOffice to PDF has the same strange spacings
between the characters.
Open the same file (send via email) on another Windows 10 System (iMAC with
Windows 10 VM in Parallels), with LibreOffice 5.0.5 does not have the
spacing-problem. Too, the exported PDF-File on WIndows 10 looks fine.
I also tried this on a older Version of LibreOffice 4.x.

In the following OpenOffice-Board I found this (german) discussion. From that
I understand that this problem is limited to Mac OS X. Windows and Linux is
fine with character spacing in justified allignment.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94572] In the Template Manager Templates Cannot be Renamed

Are you sure, that the file is writable? (Open it for editing and look in the
title bar.) If the file is in your default template path, then you only need to
click on the template name and enter a new one. For further explanations read
my comment bug 94613#c2.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94613] In the Template Manager Template Folders Cannot be Renamed

2016-03-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

With default settings for template paths, create a new "folder" in the Template
Manager and save a template to it. Then go back to the Template Manager, click
on the name of the "folder". Now you are in edit mode and you can change the
name. There is no need for a context menu or special key, you can simple edit
the name as you would edit other fields. The name changes are registered in the
file groupuinames.xml; it does not change any folder name on disk.

But the situation is not as easy. In Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Path you
can add other paths to the item "Templates". And only one of them can be marked
as "the default path for new files." In former versions of the Template Manager
it was actually about the properties "read-only" and "writable" and in this
meaning it is still used in the renaming feature. So when you now try to edit
the "folder" name in case the "folder" belongs to a path which is not the
default path and therefore handled as being read-only, then you cannot edit it.

So there are three issues here. (1) The UI gives no message, why renaming is
not possible. (2) The meaning was changed from "writable" to "default", but the
feature 'renaming' has not been adapted. (3) The UI gives no hint, that
renaming is possible.

I write "folder" because it is not really a folder in the sense of the OS file
management, but it can contain template files with total different paths.
