Screen settings or mouse driver? Nothing special that I know of. I upgraded
from Win 7 to Win 10 in late July, a straight upgrade, and I haven't done any
customization since then. This is the first Impress presentation I have made
since that time, and I certainly would have noticed it before. So whether it's
something about my old hardware or configuration, I have no idea.

Not reproducible for me with 5.1.5.2 and 5.2.2.2 / Windows 7.

Are there any screen-settings in your system that are not the default/usual? Or
maybe some special mouse driver software? (I'm merely doing stabs in the dark
here)

I built the font 4 years ago. It passed Font Validator. Also, it has worked in
past versions of LO, and in other Graphite applications, including XeTeX,
FireFox, and Thunderbird.

I'm not sure how to attach a file to this comment. I'll save it and then attach
a file to a new comment.

Not a bug, just a reality of OLE of the Math formula object.

Use something like TexMaths extension and format the resulting image. Or
import/insert the formula into Draw and then convert it to curves (Modify ->
Convert -> To Curve). It can then be pasted into a Writer document and rotated.

Direct formatting controls present with default Context menu(s) have been
removed by design (bug 86606). Ability to customize context menu has been
implemented. For the general case deemphais of direct formatting by removal
from context menu is the desired direction for the UI as it bolsters consistent

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 102917] New: Insert and edit comments options causes problem with format toolbar

2016-10-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102917

Bug ID: 102917
Summary: Insert and edit comments options causes problem with
format toolbar
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: riggra...@gmail.com

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/49.0
Build Identifier: Version: 5.2.2.2 Build ID:
8f96e87c890bf8fa77463cd4b640a2312823f3ad

I have noticed this behavior earlier in December and January, just before the
release of the 5.2 version in February, but I was not sure if was a bug.

Problem description:
Canceling the insertion of a comment causes that when the ESC key is used, the
comment format toolbar to display, replacing the cell format toolbar, even with
no comment active.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new Calc spreadsheet.
2. Select any cell.
3. Right click and select the option to insert comment or with the toolbar.
Notice and observe that the comment format toolbar displays and replaces the
cell format toolbar.

4. Cancel the insertion with the ESC key or clicking in the same or other cell.

Notice and observe that the comment format toolbar closes and the cell format
toolbar displays.

5. Now use the ESC key once.

Notice and observe that even without the comment, in that cell or another, the
comment format toolbar displays replacing the cell format toolbar.

6. Use the ESC key again and the comment toolbar closes and restores the cell
format toolbar.

With each use of the ESC key the toolbars change.

Even if a new comment is inserted in a cell. After that, testing the ESC key
shows the problem.

This causes trouble with the data insertion and edition, and it was not present
in Calc 5.1.5

Also in an existing comment the option to “edit comment” has the same behavior.

Steps to reproduce with the “Edit comment” option.
1. Select commented cell
2. Right click and select “Edit Comment” option
3. Click on the same commented cell or any other cell with out any changes
4. Test with the ESC key and see the format toolbars change

Steps that behave correctly
Close Calc and star again
1. In an existing comment.
2. Right click and select Show Comment.
3. Click to edit the frame.
3a. Second click edit the text of the comment.
3b. or double click to edit the text of the comment immediately.
4. ESC to cancel the edition

Testing the ESC key some times shows that here there is no problem and works as
expected.

Expected Results:
The comment format toolbar should only be present when a comment is activly
edited

F9 is not a hard recalc. Only CTRL+SHIFT+F9 is. A soft recalc is only useful if
you disable automatic recalculation as it only recalculates dirty cells. The
hard recalculation (CTRL+SHIFT+F9) should correctly recalculate the cells.

The mentioned behaviour here is not a bug. We are using cached values and if
the file contains wrong values there is nothing we can do.

Are you 100% sure that the font complies with international standards? Does it
work right in other software?

Also can you please attach an actual document and include the font in the file.
Probably you'll have to upload to a third party and then link. Embed Fonts:
https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Embedding_Fonts

Set to UNCONFIRMED once you attach.

Code pointer:
filter/source/xslt/odf2xhtml/export/xhtml/body.xsl

By doing some tests, "Titre principal" uses this part:
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/filter/source/xslt/odf2xhtml/export/xhtml/body.xsl#2803

The good headers this one:
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/filter/source/xslt/odf2xhtml/export/xhtml/body.xsl#1204

headers are created when matching text:h
1174

unzipping odt and reformating it, we got this:
  Titre principal

  Titre
1

  para

  Titre
2

  para
...
Notice "text:p" for "Titre principal"

Just my 2 cents because I know too few about xsl.
Anyway, I confirm this on pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today.

2016-10-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 102916
Summary: every word on a line starts at the beginning of the
line
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jim_br...@sil.org

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101

Build Identifier: version 5.2.1.2 Build ID:

I am typing Tai Dam language text using the Tai Heritage Pro 2.5 font
(http://scripts.sil.org/taiheritage). I have also observed this behavior with a
Miao font that is still under development.
I select the font and start typing. When I reach the second word, it is
displayed over top of the first word. Each successive word is displayed at the
beginning of the line, so all the words overlap.
I am also using Keyman 9 with the Tai Dam US Mnemonic keyboard
(http://scripts.sil.org/TaiDamKeyboards).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Writer
2. Select the Tai Heritage Pro font.
3. Select the Tai Dam keybaord.
4. type several words.
5. Hilight the text you just typed. You will see that LO now displays the font
as Lucida Sans.
6. Change the font to Tai Heritage Pro, and the text will display correctly.

Expected Results:
See attachment.

OK, so just to confirm. The only crashes are when you enable the OpenGL
rendering?

It could be that your GPU and driver should be black-listed (not allowed to run
OpenGL) unless you force it.

Please post your GPU and driver details.

Copy from a run of "msinfo32.exe" in the Components -> Display panel and paste.

The blocked meta bug 93529 will alert the appropriate developers.

Or just leave things as they are with check-boxes. But move the two entries
adjacent rather than split by the "Thousand separation of large numbers" entry.

Hi Stuart,

I stopped when I disabled OpenGL. Also, some problems regarding the speed of
displaying text while typing disappeared.

However, up to here, LibO 5.0.6 didn't had this problem.

docx-italic-Arabic

Hi. I detect a bug in LibreOffice version 5.1.5.2 on Fedora 24 X64.

When I write a document by LibreOffice containing Arabic characters in ITALIC
(sloping) font, then the resulted PDF that generated by "Export to PDF" option
in LibreOffice will show contents as if it was no any italic fonts contents !!
I mean that exporter does not recognize italic for Arabic contents.

I attached 2 files:

- docx file (docx-italic-Arabic) which has contents in Arabic & ALL being in
italic font.
- PDF resulted from exportation of docx. file to PDF. Look how contents appear
in PDF in non-italic font.

Please notice the following:

1) This issue does not effect Latin characters. I already test English with
italic font & every thing is normal.

2) I do not know if this bug existing in version 5.2.2 of LibreOffice because
it is still not available in Fedora repositories.

3) I can not test this issue on Windows because "italic Arabic" already have a
bug on Windows BUT NOT ON LINUX. Please see bug 87532

4) Again bug 87532 only effect Windows NOT LINUX.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67764] FORMATTING: Spaces removed when pasting from windows clipboard data stored as HTML format

2016-10-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

In Writer 5.2.2 the problem remains. There is no longer the RTF option for the
rich text.
If I copy text from SharpDevelop, the HTML option is used (and it seems work
fine). But if I copy from Visual Studio, it is used the flat text option. (The
only option)
It 's really, really annoying that this feature (RTF copied from other
applications) does not work consistently since the first version of
Libreoffice!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 102910] upon worksheet duplication all charts in all worksheets lost "data range"/got "data table"

2016-10-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102910

my impression is that it misbehaves when too many worksheets are in the same
file and one tries to duplicate one of the (right most?) worksheets, in which
case the duplicated worksheet either receives a "data table" or has all of its
"data ranges" pointing to the original worksheet.

i wish i could reproduce the bug so i could avoid it

i am attaching the original before the corruption of the "data ranges".

fdo#78742: SfxFilterMatcher: respect requested document service if set

sfx2::DocumentInserter::CreateMediumList() creates a SfxFilterMatcher
that should match Writer filters only, but actually Calc filters may be
returned; check that the document service matches.

try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues.

Usually it's enough renaming/deleting the file
"user/registrymodifications.xcu", it affects all the options in
Menu/Tools/Options, and the files "user/basic/dialog.xlc" and "scrip.xlc" are
overwritten, additionally custom colors in "user/config/standard.soc" are lost.

Hi Laurent,
Thanks for pointing out the commit that introduced the regression. I've
reverted it locally and it's indeed the problematic one.
Adding: bisected and bibisected to the keyword.

Would you like to fix this?
