Indeed, you missed an extremely important detail that would have saved a lot of
time and hassle.
You also did not say, which file the problem appears in. For testers: the file
is CAFCA - Modèle feuille A4 - v2015-2.odt and you can ignore the other one.

The added text to header/footer is preserved in 3.6, so regression.

I've suggested that we use the mouse scrollwheel to scroll the contents of a
tab back and forth when the contents dont fit within the window size, rather
than the shrinking mechanism we currently have.

Hi,

It seems that crash occurs when the GPU switches on dual GPU systems :
 - from internal GPU (i.e. Intel HD Graphics) ;
 - to dedicated GPU (i.e. AMD Radeon HD) ;

When i enforce dedicated GPU before launch of LO, it runs fine.

If i use internal GPU, then launch LO, it turns on dedicated GPU and then
crash(afterward internal GPU switch back).

I think that MacOs Sierra has changed the initialization process during GPU
switching.

Launching LO always trigger switch to dedicated GPU.

I can use LO 5.2.2.2 without crash enforcing dedicated GPU before launch.

I used gfxCardStatus 2.3 switching tool to enforce dedicated GPU.

I hope my experience could help,

At least I now know it is not some unique corruption of my system.

I understand the reluctance to fix the bug as it only effects older Mac OS's,
and it is more of a program usability annoyance than a critical show-stopper.

Caolán, unfortunately while this may be true for Europe and the US, it's
definitely not true for China. GB18030 is the standard in China and a

Description:
I have a calc document in XLSX format.
Have several pages, many formulae but nothing complicated.
Upon opening the document, almost always some of the pages are blank.
If I close and reopen, everything is fine.
If I save the document, then the page is deleted for good.

PC= Dell Precision T740, 18 GB RAM
OS=Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit

Funny enough, it does not happen to my other computer, that is:
MB= ASUS, in a HP case, 3 GB ram

2. File->recent documents
3. Select file

Open document, check all pages, and one page is blank. No numbers, no formulae.

Expected Results:
I expect to find all information on the page.

Finally found 5.3 alpha (only looked for x64 at first but was helped by
Tinderbox line) : same result :-/ . 
Perhaps i missed a detail : added text is saved after "Texte" but Header and
Footer are not (with text added inside or not), they are the old one when
reload after saved.

I am on Win 10. 
My UI is English (UK) (and rarely changed).
As locale I have mostly set German (Germany), but this changes as required. 

The bug itself did not occur during my regular work but was the background of a
question posted here:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/78855/period-in-cell-being-interpreted-as-0/.
I tried to answer the question, requested additional infornation, and verified
the claims. 

Thus: If the strange observation is due to specifics of my surroundings or to 
a flaw in my user profile, I am not the only one experiencing the issue. 

The attached example is no fake. It was actually created as described. Just the
additional testing lines were created on the fly in this editor. Maybe 5.2.2.2
rc is the only version suffering from the bug.

- what are C-C (ctrl+C ?) and C-1 ?
- what do you mean by "another app" ? Do you mean another LO module (like
Writer or Impress) or another office software ?
- I do not understand which formatting is lost in the past operation: is it the
formatting of the source text (the text that is copied and pasted) or is it the
formatting of the cell set before the paste operation.

Reproducible with master under Ubuntu 16.04. The error message is displayed if
the apostrophe is the first or the last character. And, indeed, the apostrophe
is not in the given list of invalid characters.

on my system, v5.0.5.2 on W7x64, autocorrect fails for words enclosed in left
and right double quotation marks. I mean the unicode chars U+201C and U+201D

it again and a better definition could be:
1. Draw a shape (in Writer, Calc or whatever)

The rest of list is correct.

I can still replicate the bug on another (customer's) PC, BUT this time it
happens if you press repeatedly CRTL or ALT, and NOT keeping (one of) them
pressed.

File Open and Save are not common dialog windows from LO, they are MS Windows
File Requesters, unless differently specified in LO options. So they're not the
right dialogs to test, while Image Properties is a good one. I used that for
this test.

Yes, it already started: LOKDocView allows it. There is already some level of
integration in GNOME: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oz3aYW73YW4

I reproduce the problem with LibreOffice 5.2.3.0+ and the master under Ubuntu
16.04 x86-64.

If you look inside the xml file with a text editor, you will see that this xml
document says:
1/ the date & time format is "MM\/dd\/ HH:mm:ss"
2/ the date & time values are in fact in the form 2016-09-30T13:00:00

Could you try with LibreOffice version 5.2.2?

Which LibreOffice version are you using?
If I understand you correctly, the problem is not with mail merge itself, but
with LibreOffice printing in general?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.

There is no way to set LO to use gmail outgoing server for mail merged
documents.

Plese give the option to use local mail client i.e. thunderbird instead.

Demo of the results described in the report

Importing from a csv (plain text file) there may occur fields containing a
decimal mark (of the respective locale) and nothing else. 
In a column of 'Standard' type this results in a numeric 0 in the target cell. 
I tested with 5.2.2.2 rc with the dot in English locale and with the comma in
German locale to the same result. To use a text delimiter was no rtemedy nor
was preparing the cells of the sheet with format code "@" ('Text'). 

This is a regression! V5.1.4 did not show the bug. 

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a virgin spreadseet document. 
2. Make sure to know your decimal separator. 
3. Copy the text lines (at least first 2) from the bottom of this post.
4. Go to your sheet and choose 'Paste special...' > 'Unformatted text' 
5. Set the semicolon as the only separator. No 'Text delimiter'.
6. OK 
7. Verify that the respective cells got the content 0 (numeric).
8. Change your import settings now to " as text delimiter and repeat tests.
9. Verify no change.
There are a few additional statements in the attached example.

Hi,

I noticed a bug or non optimal user experience while using Calc.

When I type in a cell and change window back and forth, the cell I was typing
in lose its focus and erase its content if I continue typing. the undo command
does not put back the text erased.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type in any cell, while keeping the cursor focused in.
2. Press Alt+Tab to switch window.
3. Press Alt+Tab to switch window again in Calc.
4. Notice that the focus is lost on this cell.
5. Type again in the cell.
6. Notice the previous content has been completely erased.
7. Press Ctrl+Z to undo the "mistake". It does not put back the text.

Actual Results:  
The content of the cell is overwritten without possibility to undo the
operation. You have to type everything that has erased.

Expected Results:
1. The new text should be append to the content of the cell (if the cursor is
in the cell); Or
2. The possibility to undo the overwriting of the cell.

I have a template with a paragraph style with drop caps: anytime I create a new
file with that template, and use a drop caps paragraph styles, the drop caps
does not show (I have to edit the style again).

fdo#81113 always run the actual detection
The old code only run detection if an UCBContent property was passed.
That means that any time the function got only InputStream, it claimed
that it was a Keynote presentation.

In your Windows 7 rendering that is Open Symbol, your Windows 8/10 rendering is
Segoe UI Symbol.

Default font for the Math Formula remains Open Symbol which should installed
with LibreOffice. Check it is present--if not, your use of Segoe UI Symbol is a
fallback.

Also, check that you do not have a font substitution replacement table in
place.

And if you'd like to force use of a font other than OpenSymbol--Cambria Math
for example use Tools -> Options -> Fonts and select the Apply Replacement
Table check box. Then in the dropdowns for fonts, left is the font to be
replaced and right is the font it will be replaced with.  Be sure to check when
to apply, and check/OK it to apply.

This is weird because I wrote some stuff for the README a long time ago,
specifically for OSX installation (I remember that it went on the wiki at the
time) - perhaps it never got integrated, or perhaps it got overwritten by
mistake.

I would add that in all probability this bug is unlikely to be fixed (unless by
accident) because :

1) it only affects MacOSX
2) it only appears to affect versions of OSX 10.10 and older.

Enter U+0075U+0308 and then toggle. Result?

We have implemented our own reliable methods for handling Unicode input.

The LibreOffice Special Character dialog, or

as implemented for bug 73691, if you enter U+0075U+0308 in any LibreOffice
module and toggle with +X, you get the combined ü

The Hex input using Windows number pad is not a reliable means of input. What
we provide suffices.

I managed to confirm this on an old Mac OSX 10.9.5 Macbook Pro that I laid my
hands on.

I used LO 5142 and used Quicktime to record a screencast.
