The macros are somewhat enabled, resulting in the the error, but something is corrupting to not prompt the user to enable them on load. To confirm Justin L's observation, When opening the file with a CIFS connection via /etc/fstab and the same .xls file, I am prompted to enable the macros, and then the macro when executed will complete successfully. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103078 --- Comment #13 from Luke Kendall--- Thanks very much for investigating this; it's good to know you could reproduce it. In the meantime, if you think of a workaround that I might try, please let me know. I plan to create a template document with only the default styles I need, plus the page and paragraph styles I need, then save the faulty files as RTF, copy their text into the "good" template file, and then re-break the pages using the appropriate (header-less) page style for each chapter start. A simpler approach I might try 1st is deleting all page breaks, and re-inserting them. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, I'm "all ears". Double click on chart to change some formats etc. Use File, Save while chart is still in edit mode, saves only the chart into .odc file. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103508] New: Underline, Strikethrough, and Overline sizes and position are permanently fixed and cannot be adjusted
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103508 Bug ID: 103508 Summary: Underline, Strikethrough, and Overline sizes and position are permanently fixed and cannot be adjusted Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.2.0.4 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: minuteme...@yahoo.com Description: The thickness and positions of Underline, Strikethrough and Overline are arbitrarily set according to the typeface font being used and cannot be adjusted by you, the end user of LibreOffice. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Type any text you are familiar with, e.g. "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog," etc., and use the Edit > Copy/Paste to repeat the text multiple times, all while making everything is the same size (e.g. 14-point size). 2. Select each line individually, then assign a different typeface font to each line, so that every line is of a different font. 3. Next, select "All" (Ctrl-A or Edit--> Select All) then select Format--> Character. In the dialog that shows up, select the Font Effects tab, then select the various Overline, Strikethrough and Underline features (especially the Wave and Double Wave features of Overline and Underline). Actual Results: The thickness and position of Overline, Strikethrough and Underline is arbitrary according to the parameters set forth by the typeface font used, and the Wave sizes of the Wave and Double Wave features are big with one font and small with another font. Expected Results: Overline, Strikethrough and Underline size and position should be uniform across all fonts being used. This usually cannot be done automatically, so end users of LibreOffice need to have a new option to adjust these parameters manually. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Ideally, in the Format-->Character command, LibreOffice users should have a new option to manually adjust the size, thickness and exact position of each Overline, Strikethrough and Underline on their own terms rather than those set forth by the individual fonts' designers. For high school & college students, job applicants and top management of any company, professional reporters, etc, the ability to adjust underline, strikethrough and overline thickness and position manually can be a real necessity for anyone to mantifest professional penmanship. I don't think it's the only way to cause the bug because there are some side effects from this method that are different from usual, but it is one way to cause it. 1) Copy Text from Libre (Ctrl-C). 2) Paste into Libre (Ctrl-V). 3) Wait for computer to go to sleep, and HDD turns off. 4) Wake computer up, and turn HDD back on. 5) Copy text from outside Libre (Ctrl-C). 6) Continue pasting text from step 2 into Libre (Ctrl-V). Also I noticed that when I caused the bug in this way, using Ctrl-Z would only move the cursor to where the last paste was, but it wouldn't remove it. This seems like a separate bug, but since it was caused by this bug reproduction method, I will write it here. After producing bug as above, start new process as follows: 1) Write some text in Libre. 2) Paste from broken clipboard (Ctrl-V). 3) Write some text in Libre. 4) Undo 3 times (Ctrl-Z). Outcome: 4a) Undoes text from step 3. 4b) Moves cursor to beginning of text from step 2, but does not delete it 4c) Undoes text from step 1. Note that I can still delete the pasted text from step 2 manually with no problem, it's just a problem with the undo behavior. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Steps to Reproduce: 1. open document containing graphs 2. perform simple interactions (selecting cells, clicking on graph, ...) 3. Calc will eventually crash. Sometimes takes a few minutes of interaction. Actual Results: Calc eventually crashes and offers to recover documents. Here is what I did: 1) Open MS PowerPoint (I have version 2016 installed, but as the history shows, this can be reproduced with all versions back to 2010 at least, I think 2007 will work as well). 2) Open master slide view 3) go to slide master "title with content" 4) change the line spacing of the contents (I used spacing 1,5 and after 12pt) 5) close master view 6) change slide layout to "title with content" 7) create three lines of text 8) change the font of all lines to Arial 9) change the line spacing of the second line (I used 18pt before) 10) create some reference objects (I used squares and lines) to indicate the upper limit of the text lines 11) save as pptx 12) open in LibreOffice Impress (I currently have 5.1.0.3 but it works back in all the other versions as well as the bug history shows). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103356] MS Defender detects soffice.bin as trojan
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103356 --- Comment #10 from Joe Schutts--- Hi Everyone, I too had this same problem with "MS Defender" saying that the "soffice.bin" was "Malware" and blocking it. But I DID NOT have to Re-Install LibreOffice like others have said. All I did was to go into the "QUARANTINE" Directory (of MS Defender) and mark the file for "RESTORE" and that fixed it. LibreOffice worked as before without ANY problems. Honestly though, when this happened I contacted LibreOffice (within 10 minuted) and notified them about the problem (thinking that POSSIBLY, JUST POSSIBLY) they might have come in contact with a Virus (or something else). I was hoping for them to take a look at the "Soffice.Bin" file (which I would have gladly sent them) I had in the Quarantine Directory (BEFORE I Restored it back to where it was). They dropped the ball (as far as I'm concerned) as they NEVER asked me to send (the Soffice.Bin file) to them Although I have not had ANY problems since I Restored the file it STILL make me concerned as to WHAT actually happened and WHY it did what it did. I do have to say in LibreOffice's defense that they were fast to respond to this issue although I do believe they could have done more... All through this time (including up to now) I have been reminded about an issue that happened sometime back in the 70's or 80's when some Game Maker (Software company whom I can't remember the name of) sent out CD's that customers bought, that unknowingly contained a virus that infected millions of users worldwide. I for one do not want to go through this again, nor do I wish the same for others. Hope this helps... Best Regards...
