Let me give you an example in Portuguese to be easier to understand.

Imagine that you type in Writer a word that is not in the speller:
"serio"

In a normal situation the speller will red underline it, but in the speller
there was the word:
"sério"
(with accent in the "é")
So, the autocorrect would replace "serio" with "sério" automatically.

This is how MS Word 2016 is now doing it. It has a checkbox to use words from
the speller and thus has a very small autocorrect list.

If it is just a mismatch of accents, in Word 2016 the correction is automatic.

I've seen this suggestion on different forums. But using Cals seems more
intuitive for end users.

even longer autocorrect list (more than 217K entries)

I'm attaching an heavier version of my huge autocorrect list (more than 217K
entries) that may help to further stress the autocorrect display engine.

the first entry should be "___z"
and the last one "zzzoticoniii"

this was tested with this LibO interface locale setting (it-IT).

I think autocorrection should not edit text automatically unless a precise
replacement entry is present in the autocorrect list.

so I don't think it would be a good idea to automatically accept a replacement
just if you find it in the speller suggestion list with no user interaction.

actually if you find a typo and right-click on it you see a list of suggested
autocorrection and you may accept them manually and even record that
replacemento to be automatically applied next time you digit it.

so I don't fully understand your request.
would you please try to explain it again?

Lokking at your image from comment 2 it looks like, that there is also a
numbering in the table itself (I can't see it in image from comment 1). Could
this cause the indent?

IANAL, but there is no single GPL license, there is version 1, 2 or 3 and they
are not compatible so you need to know the exact version to know if you can
distribute it and whether it is compatible with LibreOffice license or not.

Debug builds are unreliable for performance profiling, you need to do this with

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113615] New: Basic command thiscomponent.currentselection(0) .name returns wrong name of grouped Draw objects

2017-11-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113615

Bug ID: 113615
   Summary: Basic command thiscomponent.currentselection(0).name
returns wrong name of grouped Draw objects
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4 all versions
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: struck...@gmx.net

Description:
the BASIC command thiscomponent.currentselection(0).name returns the wrong name
of grouped Draw Objects.
In Writer: If multiple Draw objects are grouped and this grouped object is
given a name (e.g. "linegroup") the above command should return this grouped
object name but it returns the name of one of the elements instead e.g "line1".
This error occurs in all tested LibreOffice-Versions (4 and 5er)and OpenOffice4
on most Linux systems like Linux Mint, Ubuntu. Both 64bit and 32bit versions.
It works correctly on Lubuntu, Windows,OSX.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create 2 draw lines and give each a name. eg."line1" and "line2"
2. group the 2 lines
3. give the grouped object a name e.g. "linegroup"
4. select the object and run the basic program:
sub showname
msgbox thiscomponent.currentselection(0).name
end sub

It should show the name of the grouped object: "linegroup"
5. insert and delete texts. Save, try again.
At some point the error will occur and it will show the name of one of the
elements e.g. "line2" instead of the grouped object ("linegroup")

Because it may not appear immediately try it with the attached files:
File1: Names_of_grouped_Draw_objects1.odt
At first it works, after deleting some text the error will occur.
File2: Names_of_grouped_Draw_objects2.odt
Here the error always occurs

Actual Results:
At some point the error will occur and it will show the name of one of the
elements e.g. "line2" instead of the grouped object ("linegroup")

Expected Results:
It always should show the name of the grouped object ("linegroup")

Reproducible: Always

Note that for comment 5 I tested in Excel and it does not omit the decimal
separator. I can't make up my mind whether we should or not. There is some
logic in it that the separator is always displayed with .?? (blanks instead of
0, preserving columns with a fixed-width font) but not with .## (digit and
place omitted if 0), and my guess is that once we changed this to not display
the separator we'd get a bug report of some angry Excel document user that we
did so.. YMMV..

Sure, some LO testing prior to import filter parsing (e.g. test with wc -l)
might be feasible. But that really is rather an abusive data set to be pushing
into a spread sheet. I would not want to try to work with a sheet that large
;-)

Would think loading to Base on detection would be a smarter route. Filtering
records would be trivial at that point.

Hello Regina,

Thanks for the superfast reply, and the detailed description of what to try
out.

It seems that from the website the default download English-language for the
program itself is for En-US, though the help file is set for GB. I reset the UI
language to English UK and everything is working well.

Thanks once again for your prompt and competent help.

All the best,

The files seem to be correct. So check the installation and configuration.
1. Check the place of the help files: Goto the installation folder and verify,
that there is a subfolder "help" on the same level as "share" and "program".
The subfolder with your language should be inside "help".
2. Check the UI language: Goto menu Tools > Options > Language Settings >
Languages. In section "Language Of" the drop-down "User interface:" should show
the item "English (UK)". The UI must correspond to the help. If you have UI
"English (USA)" you cannot use a "en-GB" help. It might be, that you have not
installed the "English (UK)" UI. You can add it via Windows Control Panel >
Programs > Programs and Features. Right-click LibreOffice > Change.

Please check and report back.

I guess this is what you mean.

In LibreOffice 3.3, though, the document is all mashed up into 1 page, so
apparently AOO has fixed something in the mean time.

For me a copied paragraph with several levels of indentation was pasted like
your column of single chars. So I could in fact repro the behaviour in a
completely new document.

Reproduced.

Couldn't open in 3.3 due to some Java crap, so oldest tested is 3.6.

2017-11-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113160

Not sure what the original problem was, but it may have been that the problem
to be solved was to ensure that the parents of message dialogs were explicitly
set to the window they should block (instead of null to select a default
parent) rather than making dialogs non-modal
