PPTX saved from LibreOffice looks good to me in MSO 2013. Is this again some
difference between MSO versions? My 6.0 build is a bit newer than yours, maybe
you could try updating.

I strongly disagree with this fashion to remove existing functionalities under
the pretext that they are used by less than 100% of the users.

Please describe the gain for:
1/ existing normal users
2/ advanced users and contributers
3/ new users willing to discover what possibilities LibreOffice can offer

Please give numbers proving that "Other palettes give normal users enough
choices" and that "palettes are only interesting for few people"

Please attach to this bug report an extension enabling the palette you want to
remove. Indeed, even if it is possible to add palette via an extension, if
nobody make this extension the functionality is lost. So the extension must be
available before removing the palettes from the standard installation and, as
for dictionaries, a menu entry must be added to search new palettes on the
extensions website.

Yes, it does remove when I selected a cell. But select only text within a cell
Clear Direct Formatting has no effect.

Ok, I confirm that Clear Direct Formatting does remove all hyperlink formatting
in a cell if the *cell* is selected. 

However if text within the cell is selected (for example, just one
auto-hyperlink of perhaps several), then Clear Direct Formatting has no effect.

(the documented "Remove Hyperlink" context menu item is missing in both cases)


BTW, I also see what Mohamed alluded to about being unable to select a cell
with the mouse in certain circumstances; but that's a different bug.

Description:
I upgraded to the current Libre version today and can no longer print Portrait
without finagling that I learned about through the Q I have to do it for
every document that is in Portrait format. That is a bug to me. The software is
no longer working in a functional way. 

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on print on document in portrait format.
2.Click on preview - shows in portrait.
3.Click on print - shows in landscape (with bottom cut out)
NOTE: I tried different print options from drop-down menu -- Quality & Media,
Libre Office etc. ALL SHOWED DOC in LANDSCAPE.
4.Click on print - it prints in landscape with bottom cut off.

Actual Results:  
I read a workaround I tried.
Click on Print. 
Then click on More. 
At More click on brochure. Then unclick brochure. That did not work.
At More I tried clicking on back page. Then front page. Then it appeared in
Portrait. At that point I seemed to be able to choose different quality print,
different paper, etc.  

Expected Results:
As described I can no longer print documents I create in portrait format
without about 5 extra steps to finagle every time.

Additional Info:
As before this afternoon i.e. before I upgraded it should print a document
formatted for portrait as a portrait document. 
Every portrait document should not appear as Landscape when Print is clicked
AND it should NOT print in portrait with bottom cut off.

Is this really a regression? I would expect a regression to be an issue caused
by a change in the LibO code.. A regression caused by some sort of
incompatibility with High Sierra is not a regression in the sense of the

@adolfo: Yes. I unchecked the box and tried exporting again and it solved the
problem.

Is there a way that the UI can be improved on this? It is not at all obvious
that "exporting" a PDF will be using the same options as sending the file for
"printing" on a printer.

In fact, the option is not even shown in the exporting options dialog presented
to the user (e.g. File > Export as PDF...). If printing options are going to
affect exports, then the relevant settings should be displayed to the user.

I understand the reply may be "We're just printing to a file, so it makes sense
to use print settings", which is fine and is not the issue. The issue is that
it is not at all clear/obvious to the user that this is the case.

Hope this can be improved and further false positives like mine avoided.

Description:
I tried out the attched document with a nightly build of LO6 and the embedded
EMF file is not correct rendered. Especially the text in the EMF file is
distorted.
If I open the same document in the release build of LO4.0.0.1, the rendering is
as expected.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open the attached odt file in LOdev6.0.0.1alpha1+
Open the attached odt file in LO4.0.0.1
Compare the screen rendering

Actual Results:  
Distorted text in the embedded EMF graphic

Expected Results:
Correct rendering of the text in the embedded EMF graphic as in LO4.0.0.1

This can easily be some other application that has hung the Microsoft
Installer.

Google the Installer error-1500

If present, clearing the
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\InProgress value should
clear things.

With and without document

Is the toolbar docked or undocked?
The toolbar is docked. When the toolbar is undocked works fine. 

Does it happen in writer too?
writer it's OK.

LibreOffice Impress Version: 5.4.3.2 (x64) has the same problem. :(

My thoughts are not to use terms that can be interpreted in different ways, the
actual term is not so important. The import specifies separation and
encapsulation of strings forming fields, I have never thought of these being
the same thing, i.e. delimiting strings. It would be interesting to know how
this is handled in other languages (l10 dept.)

A quick google on "delimiter", just a couple below. The first has always been
my understanding but obviously plenty of people agree with the second.

A delimiter is a sequence of one or more characters used to specify the
boundary between separate, independent regions in plain text or other data
streams

In computer programming, a delimiter is a character that identifies the
beginning or the end of a character string

behavior of frames and make it transparent by default with fill style None.

We talked about this idea in the design meeting. The idea is accepted and might
be easily implemented.

Switch the radio button from portrait to landscape when width becomes larger
than height. If the user clicks the radio button it exchanges width/height.

We discussed the request in the design meeting and agreed on the change. If the
user wants to change the background image on all slides the supposed way is
through the master slides. 

The change might be pretty easy, just drop the dialog and use the current slide
only.

property list of the Label

In this property list, the property name for the caption of the label is
"Label" (red ellipse). It is not possibleto access this "Label" property from a
basic macro:

labelName.Label -> "BASIC runtime error. Property or method not found: Label."
labelName.Text -> works, sets the caption of the label

You can test it in MacroTest.ods.

As I mentioned different locales may have different terminologies so l10n may
have good input.
I know it took me quite some time to figure out how the selections/entries in
the dialogue worked to the point that I went to a text editor for the CSV as I
couldn't get import working and started this thinking it was a bug in the
import.

If the import dialogue had that hover text under the cursor like the tool bars
then that could be used for clarification without changing labels.

Ok, this is somewhat of a user error, but there's still an assert.
In Options, Load/Save -> General -> 'ODF format version' has to be set to 1.2
for the assert to trigger.

Hi, sorry for the delay, detailed steps below (English UI):
1) Start localc, with a new, empty spreadsheet
2) Tools -> Macros -> Organize Dialogs...
3) In the list under the text "Dialog:" select the bottom-most entry
corresponding to your spreadsheet (eg. "Untitled 1" )
4) Click on New... on the right side, then click OK
   It will create the dialog ("Dialog1")
5) Close this window and save the file
   a) as a normal .ods file,
   b) as a flat .fods file
7) Close localc
8) Start localc, if you load the .fods file, and navigate to Tools -> Macros ->
Organize Dialogs..., your dialog will be missing
   If you open the .ods file, it will be there

Also if you uncompress the .ods file, you can find the corresponding xml file:
$ unzip -l Untitled\ 1.ods | grep Dialog1
  349  2017-11-15 19:49   Dialogs/Standard/Dialog1.xml

But it is not in the .fods file:

$ cat Untitled\ 1.fods | grep -c Dialog1
0

SUMMARY
---

When exporting a LibreOffice Writer document into PDF, the color of the font is
ignored. The PDF document shows the text in black regardless of the actual font
color in the original document.


OBSERVED BEHAVIOR
-

Created a document using LibreOffice Writer and, after exporting it to a PDF
file, the font's color, which had originally been set to white, was still
black.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-
The text that had been set to white in the original document should've had
white as it color in the PDF file, thus making the text "invisible" against the
white background.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
--

1. Create a new LibreOffice Writer Document.
2. Write some text to it.
3. Select the text and change the font's color to a different color (e.g.
white).
4. Export the document into a PDF.
5. Use a PDF viewer and check the exported font's color.

Only for the record. Another example.
1. Open attachment bug 123999
2. Hold page down key and take notice of the time to scroll down with page down
(a similar increase as with the export time). LibO5.3 with the old layout
engine noticeably faster.

Yes. That's exactly what I mean.
Also, there is no option to eliminate the "endings" 
That's why is a "bug" and a "whish list option"

Instead look like this

Moreover, I see that the conversion to PDF fails differently. The document

In fact, I have restarted the machine -- many times.

The installation has worked well on two other windows machines -- both
configured almost identically to the problem machine.

It won't work at first because it thinks another installation -- could be
anything -- is running.  Disabling the Windows Installer, rebooting,
re-enabling the Windows Installer and then running the LibreOffice installer
gets past that.  It then gets stuck trying to uninstall LibreOffice 5.4.0.3 --
which I never installed and I don't have the installation file it is looking
for.
