My icons in tools bars also look wrong, but different than other attachment
here.  

My icon color is off:  Red, yellow and blue shows, but only primary red, yellow
and blue.

(Not seeing this issue in LO from downloads, either 5.4.3.2 or 6.0.0.0beta2.)

Am seeing issue in fresh LO build (my first ever last night, so give this a
grain of salt, as I'm very new to building LO.)

Note: I noticed 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ now uses gtk3 (rather than gtk2 that was in the
other version which I don't have this issue with.)

When importing a collada model, no errors occur but also nothing appears in the
presentation. Also, cannot import gltf models.

LO built from 5.4.4.2 source with gcc 7.1.0

This is how the platform does it. LibreOffice menus are native on the Mac. It’s
the same as in e.g. Safari: go to File > Share, and you’ll see the same
alignment. In macOS, the leftmost column in the menus is always reserved to

Thomas, 

No one is asking for a fixed width. This report is about a fixed MINIMUM width.
What we want is the sidebar to behave like Calligra, iWorks, WPS Office, and
yes, like Word too. All of them prevent you from resizing the sidebar/panel to
a point where controls get hidden. 


Like MSO Word 2013, the users will still be able to freely choose the width of
sidebars after this bug is fixed.

Description:
The dropdown menu of font shows only 12 fonts simultaneously, too little for
users like me who install hundreds (if not thousands) of fonts on system. I
also recommend expanding it horizontally so that I could type OpenType features
more easily. In addition, it would be better if the recently used fonts could
be saved after reopening the program and maybe adding the function of favorite
fonts like the special characters dialog you team just made brilliantly. 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Writer or Calcand click the dropdown menu of font

Actual Results:  
The dropdown menu of font shows only 12 fonts simultaneously. 
Recently used fonts not saved. 

Expected Results:
24 should be much better, or a chance to customize it. 
Recently used fonts should be saved.

Description:
After window maximize only part of the selected area is highlighted

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start LO calc
2. Make window size half screen(not maximized).
3. Select all(it will reproduce the problem for sure, but it still will happen
with selection of any size).
4. Maximize window.

Actual Results:  
Selection will stay same size as it was when window was not maximized. However
column's letters and row's numbers are highlighted correctly(Same both in LO
6.0.0.2 and LO 5.4.4).

Expected Results:
Everything should be selected

Just wanted to add a bit of information-

When creating a new query in Base, running the query results in the same error,
and setting it to "Run SQL Directly" completes, but returns no results.

The interesting part... Using the Tools>SQL tool, results are returned and
records can be added without issue. I can't be sure of the difference in how
these two operate, but I have a hunch it's still related to cursors.

As the Notebookbar variants don't show the menu bar by default and some see the
Notebookbars as the future UI direction, I wouldn't MOVE such functionality
into the menu. I like to have options near where it takes action. Also other
settings like restore default (Bug 105131) and docking/undocking are available
here.

But as HIG expects the availability in the menu, Therefore I prefer to COPY it
to a new submenus.

I'm against any fix width of the sidebar. For comparison: Also in MSO Word 2013
the user can freely choose the width of sidebars like Search and Styles. That
fulfills the requirements of many users.

>From a UX point of view, what's necessary is 1) a good default width per locale
to avoid cropped UI elements and strings and 2) the width that is set by the
user must be remembered. If that's realized this request isn't necessary.

I can't seem to reproduce this, with a debugging build of current master on
High Sierra, on an iMac, with 20 empty Writer documents. Has the bug gone away
in master, or does it not happen in High Sierra, or is my machine so powerful
that I don't see it? Or what am I missing?

(I don't really think the last, this machine is not *that* much more powerful
than a 2014 MacBook Air, I should see some short amount of unresponsiveness if
the problem was there, I think. And anyway, this is a debugging (not optimised)
build, so performance problems should be more obvious than with a production
build.)

Description:
Notebookbar icons with selectable sub-entries are not top-aligned with same
level normal icons, but bottom-aligned, which looks ugly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a LibreOffice document with Notebookbar set.

What is happening here is that Callibri has a ti ligature that is enabled by
default and the PDF we produce has problems in copying ligatures from fonts
built in certain ways. Before the switch to HarfBuzz we didn’t enabling
ligatures for Latin text at all so such issue was masked.

Not actually regression, copying text with ligatures and other advanced text
layout features have always been.

A simple workaround this is to disable ligatures, proper fix is tracked in bug
66597.

Introduction

I hesitated to reply to comment # 11 because, since posting the bug report in
2015, I’ve got an even stronger impression that OO/LibO Writer doesn't seem to
be a major player on the home and office scene. Big institutions such as public
services are an exception because they can afford bespoke development. In the
end, I thought it worthwhile to write this essay.

After retiring a decade ago (see below), I’ve been using use Writer for little
more than classical office work in small voluntary organisations, where we need
file compatibility between members. Colleagues usually send me .docx files,
though some do relent and send .doc files. They are not happy to receive odt
when I forget to convert. Like me, everyone works from home at their own
expense, but no-one else seems to know about free office software that works;
there are similar echoes from countries where people don't have much money. I
don't normally pay for software, but may soon relent so as to lose some of my
geek image.

In my opinion, the confusion referred to in comment # 11 is a consequence of
long-standing structural and conceptual difficulties which, inevitably, are
hard to explain clearly. The present subject is that Writer lacks clear
attribution and visualisation of the appropriate roles for templates, styles
and direct formatting. The question about italic, bold and emphasis is only one
small aspect of this.

As an informed long-term user of office software I may be able to give a little
biased insight into what may have gone wrong with general purpose
wordprocessors including LibO Writer. Basically, users should not be presented
with more than one way of calling text elements and modifications such as
headings, lists and font variants. Contrary to my earlier postings, I now
consider that users should only rarely need to create or change styles, and
that practically all calls to styles should be done in a uniform way by means
of commands that act like markup or direct formatting.

Background

In the late 1970s, as a user of scientific laboratory computers in an R
corporation, I had to help out with the office computers because corporate IT
tended to obstruct both activities. Wordprocessors (mostly Wang in our case)
invariably used markup, with various means of presenting a preview. A bit
later, WordPerfect under MS-DOS became very popular among users; it was
wysiwyg, but with the screen divided to show the plain text with markup.
Migration of WordPerfect to Windows, which succeeded MS-DOS, was a failure for
(possible) reasons that were discussed.

There then followed the current quasi-monopoly situation in which the desktop
wordprocessor is totally wysiwyg. You could just say 'too bad, we lost that
one', except that this is linked to the quasi-monopoly on office OS; both of
these de facto monopolies are bad for all concerned. A striking feature of
*that* wordprocessor, and later of Writer, was and still is the extreme
difficulty with constructing a template that meets requirements, and is
adaptable with respect (at least) to automatic scaling as a function of the
users' choice of text body font size (Bug 91160).

Corporate dossiers are assembled from contributions by hundreds or thousands of
authors, who do their own typing and must use the same template. To begin with,
text editors were used (Unix, DOC). Later, and for many years, the W*rd
templates supplied by IT departments were buggy and terribly user unfriendly,
reflecting technical difficulties that persist today. Private individuals are
still being left out, as indicated by the dearth of LibO Writer templates
available on the web.

Because of that and some other show-stoppers, in about 2009 I moved most of my
work to the LaTeX ecosystem (scientific and general writing, drawing, editing
novels for friends) and Scribus (exhibitions, picture books, routine teaching
material). LaTeX uses markup. Scribus is going the same way; development
version 1.5 practically enforces use of the Story Editor for text frames, so
you are shown exactly how they are coded. LaTeX is big and still growing, since
1978. Overleaf, one of several cloud services (free for individuals) claims
75 users. LaTeX and Scribus don't replace general-purpose office
wordprocessing software, though they are surprisingly easy once you get used to
them. My proposition is that they (particularly LaTeX) may indicate how LibO
Writer might be brought up to date. I think that could be done by inventing a
kind of markup that's compatible with wysiwyg.

I have also had similar problems, but unlike other comments, only the bluetooth
connection fails (the connection via WiFi works fine).

I honestly could not express exactly when it happens, since I stopped using
Impress Remote during the holidays and only now to practice a presentation, I
noticed that simply the connection via bluetooth doesn't work.

I did several tests with the following devices and software versions:

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7' (Android 4.2.2)
Samsung Galaxy Ace J1 (Android 5.1.1)

HP x360 (Solus OS 3 Budgie & Windows 10)
Acer E111 (Fedora Workstation 27)

Impress Remote for Android 2.2.3 v17 & 2.2.3.0 v19 beta
LO 5.4.4 (Windows 10), LO 5.4.3.2 (Solus), LO 5.4.4.2 (fedora)

In all cases the bluetooth connection worked properly, being able to transfer
files or exchange audio devices, however, when trying to connect LO with
Impress Remote it failed.

The occurrence is too random to be able to provide step by step instructions.
As far as I can tell it sometimes happens when I have a fairly large capacity
multi-tab spreadsheet and have been manipulating it extensively so the
potential number of undo and redo operations is substantial. I suspect it is
memory management related because quitting and restarting regularly "clears"
the issue. Consequently, a failing spreadsheet is not available because the
anomaly disappears with the save and subsequent reload. I'm usually
concentrating on figuring out how to get the sheet to do what I desire as
opposed to systematically documenting what it's not doing correctly. In any
event, how do you prove something doesn't/didn't happen? I mentioned that I
suspect it's related to memory management in the hope that somebody might just
have a eureka moment and relate the symptoms to an existing report or known
"feature". Whilst writing I recall that sometimes it refuses to paste data with
cut from web pages. Again, the remedy is often (but not always)to cut &
past something else and then try again with the desired data - or quit and
reload.
As I am unable to be more specific than I have been and if nobody has the
eureka moment then we probably have no alternative but to place the report on
the "back burner" in anticipation of somebody else reporting something similar
with more tangible evidence.

Now I get the desired error message (see attachment) even if there is no fax

This makes also the bug 115126 obsolete.

After each partial copy back of my individual profile-files and -folders to the
new profile, I tried out whether the error occurred again or not to find out
which part of my old profile might have been the cause.

My current registrymodifications.xcu is about 3 MB in size. If I had to redo
all these settings manually, I would probably have to spend a month on them, so
it's out of the question, especially since it worked again - so I didn't find
out where the cause was exactly in the old profile.

Besides, I don't really need the fax printer, I only re-enacted the bug for
another user in the German user mailing list and then gave up the bug, after I
was able to re-enact it with my previous profile.  ;-)

I also would add all of the new bitmaps to the gallery, replacing the old ones.

I don't see how to choose 50 % for the area fill tab. Why not include all as
they are already available in the gallery and installed with LO?

Issue related to fonts used. I see it happens with Calibri and Carlito.
