https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109158 --- Comment #21 from tommy27--- @Stuart yes, parsing 200K entries must cause some load, but why LibO 6.x and 5.4.x load the same autocorrect replacament table 3 times slower than 5.3.x ? the point of my report is that there has been a performance regression between those releases. another thing I've noticed is that Win8.1 x64 is musch slower than Win7 x64 in my initial description which was performed on a Win7 machine the loading time was 4 seconds in 5.3.x and 10 seconds in other branches when moving on another computer with Win8.1 x64 the time climbed to 8 and 21 seconds respectively. in order to fully reproduce the bug you should test that autocorrect table in 5.3.7 and measure the time needed to load the list. you tested only 6.1.x and you took 10 seconds to load the list... try 5.3.x and you see that is faster -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115622] New: NAVIGATION: Calc fails to page-down accurately, neglects to display certain rows
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115622 Bug ID: 115622 Summary: NAVIGATION: Calc fails to page-down accurately, neglects to display certain rows Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: Mac OS X (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: tagishsi...@gmail.com Description: I want to page-down through my speadsheet & visually inspect *all* rows. Depending on which row has cursor focus, LibreOffice either does what you'd expect (shows all rows, as a sequence of pages) or does not do what you'd expect (omits to show certain rows). Referring to the attached file, in full-screen mode on a macbook pro... if the cursor focus is on row 1 and I page down, I see the following rows as I page down: 1-44 45-79 79-122 123-169 169-225 ... i.e. all good - I get to see all rows. If the cursor focus is on row 20 and I page down, I see rows: 1-44 38-71 76-119 122-168 ... so rows 72-75, and rows 120 & 121 were not displayed. That's a *huge* problem for my use case, and evidence that LO cannot do something fairly basic: show spreadsheet contents in full as a series of pages as I page down. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open file 'pagedown_problem.ods' 2. Place cursor focus on row 20 3. Page down & observe the row range being displayed for each page 4. (optionally: weep) Actual Results: Several rows are not displayed to the user Expected Results: all rows should be displayed to the user Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115621] New: Warning box during Windows Installation of 5.4.5 and 6.0.1
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115621 Bug ID: 115621 Summary: Warning box during Windows Installation of 5.4.5 and 6.0.1 Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.5.1 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mjbr...@acm.org Description: The following message appears near the end of Windows 10 installation for 5.4.5 and 6.0.1: "Warning 1946. Property 'System.AppUserModel.ID' for shortcut 'LibreOffice.lnk' could not be set." After dismissing (twice for 6.0.1), installation appears to complete normally and LO starts as expected. The desktop shortcut also works as expected. So ... what's the problem? Note: 6.0.1 required installation of a Visual C runtime - related? Computers: 6.0.1 installed on homebuilt (Gigabyte motherboard) desktop, Core2 Extreme, 8GB RAM, GTX 750ti video. 5.4.5 installed on ASUS i5 laptop, 4GB RAM, standard Intel graphics. Both are at Windows 10 1709 with all current updates (not Insider). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Carry out normal Windows install upgrading previous version. 2. At about the point in the install where the desktop shortcut is created, the warning message box appears. 3. Dismiss (possibly twice) the message box. 4. Installation then appears to complete normally. Actual Results: Message box with warning. Expected Results: Installation should complete without a warning message. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: First appeared during 5.4.5 installation on the ASUS laptop. Also appeared (requiring dismissal twice) during 6.0.1 installation on the desktop. In both cases, this occurred during an upgrade over an existing installation. About LO info (from the launcher screen): Version: 6.0.1.1 (x64) Build ID: 60bfb1526849283ce2491346ed2aa51c465abfe6 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group Have not tried resetting UserProfile yet. However, the warning appears not to affect LO operation - it's an annoyance during installation that appears to be related to creation of the desktop (and possibly Start Menu) shortcut(s). OpenGL cannot be disabled for the 750ti GPU; OpenGL Rendering CPU is currently set to "Auto-select" though there is only one choice available. Filing bug from the desktop with GTX 750ti; no OpenGL info available for laptop. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115620 Bug ID: 115620 Summary: Performing of a Find Text operation Switches the Object Type of the “Navigate By” Drop-down Menu to “Repeat Search” Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: harald.koes...@mail.de If you perform a normal find text operation, the object type of the "Navigate by" drop-down menu is switched to "Repeat search". This is a bit awkward, if you always have to switch back to the original object type. In order to reproduce the bug: [1] Create a new text document with some headings. [2] Display toolbar “Find”. [3] In this toolbar in the “Navigate By” drop-down menu select “Headings”. [4] Navigate through the headings with arrow buttons. [5] Insert a text string in the “Find Text” drop-down menu. Then Return. In the “Navigate By” drop-down menu the object type changes to “Repeat Search”. Expected: No change of object type. To my opinion the item "Repeat search" can be omitted in the “Navigate by” menu, because all searches can be done with the “Find Text” drop-down menu. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115315 --- Comment #17 from Maxim Monastirsky--- (In reply to Michael Meeks from comment #11) > except the mbFrame thing is really not so clear to > me as to its purpose as distinct from having valid mpFrameData mbFrame means _this_ vcl::Window is a frame, while a valid mpFrameData only means that the current vcl::Window presents in the hierarchy of some other frame window, typically some control inside that window. This can be clearly seen at the top of Window::ImplInsertWindow: if ( pParent && !mpWindowImpl->mbFrame ) { // search frame window and set window frame data vcl::Window* pFrameParent = pParent->mpWindowImpl->mpFrameWindow; mpWindowImpl->mpFrameData = pFrameParent->mpWindowImpl->mpFrameData; so mpFrameData is just a pointer to the mpFrameData of the parent frame window. So: > It is hard to think how not calling ImplAsyncFocusHdl on a disposed window > is going to make life better generally for anything. ImplAsyncFocusHdl isn't necessarily called on the window we're disposing. Consider the scenario: A child control is disposed, and because of the missing mpWindowImpl->mbFrame check it clears the focus event of the (not disposed!) top level frame... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 57466] Change in UI user configuration will cause new UI items in next versions of LibreOffice to be invisible , when that previous userprofile is used
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57466 --- Comment #22 from lo-b...@vmc-konstanz.de --- I can't talk about styles etc. but for GUI customization, the approach should be IMHO: 1. try to merge 2. if that fails: inform user I don't think you need to ask the user for confirmation. For starters, this complicates the update process: you need to have detailed information available in every language and the UI gets more complicated. Also, users with standard menus don't get asked either, so why ask this particular group? In most cases, merging should work fine - you simply traverse the list of root menus, menu items, sidebars.. etc. in the user's xml configuration file until you find your anchor point ("add forms menu before tools menu") and then add the new item. In some cases (menu items, toolbar buttons), this might fail if the user removed everything the update process specifies as an anchor - in that case, add the new item at the end of the target menu/toolbar - perhaps show a quick notification? This approach should only fail if the user manually edited xml files, e.g. he removed the entire "View" menu with a text editor (you can't do this using the GUI) and the update process wants to add a new item to this menu. In that case, a simple warning that LO tried to update some part of the GUI but the file path/to/foo.xml seems to be either broken or manually tempered with plus a link to the release notes should do the job. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
