To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

All well and good. But every time I open a new page, I get Liberation Serif AS
DEFAULT.
I CANNOT CHANGE THE DEFAULT SETTING, and I don't know how to use pre-configured
templates.
Copy paste works fine, but when I open an ODT I get Liberation Serif, every
time.
That font bothers my eyes. I DON'T LIKE IT.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117987] New: Repeat Cell Highlighting Not Working Correctly

2018-06-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117987

Bug ID: 117987
Summary: Repeat Cell Highlighting Not Working Correctly
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jmadero@gmail.com

Description:
If you highlight one cell (or a range of cells) and then select another cell
(or range of cells) and try to highlight, it doesn't work the first time, you
have to click the highlight button twice.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select A1
2. Highlight using the toolbar "Background color" button
3. Hit "Down" button (i.e., go to A2 with keyboard)
4. Click toolbar "Background color" button again

Actual Results:
A2 does not highlight on the first time you push the "Background button" while
A2 is selected. You have to push "Background color" a second time to apply the
color.

Expected Results:
We'd expect A2 to be highlighted with one click of the "Background color"
button.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Works in 6.0.4.2 as expected.

That doesn’t need to be an extra check box; it could be a setting in Expert

I am not expert of the way Firebird databases work, but it seems like the data
changes are not permanent AT ALL, unless some kind of action (e.g. inserting a
new table) is performed. One could debate on which expectation is the more
appropriate, but this looks to me more like a bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 106463] Data Records Not Saved to External Firebird Database File

2018-06-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106463

I am experiencing the same problem, with an external Firebird database.

The problem seems to me that unless a modification to the inner structure of
the database is performed (tables, constraints, etc), data modification is not
committed and gets lost when the odb file is closed.

In other words, if data is added or modified in a table, this modifications are
visible until the odb file is open, but when the file is closed, no request to
save is made, the transaction is rolled back and the data changes lost.

If instead some inner modification is performed before closing the odb file
(like adding a new table), the database is immediately committed. Incidentally,
when closing the odb file, it will be asked to save the data but the answer
seems to have no impact: the modification both to inner structure and data are
already commited, no matter the answer...

The problem goes well beyond just highlighting.

For example:
(1) Highlight as previously described (A1, then A2, then A3, then A4)
*actually highlight, meaning, repeat click "background button" until
highlighting is applied, one cell at a time
(2) Try to undo

Observed:
I have to repeat undo twice for every cell to be changed back to no background.

I consider the behavior a bug and it is not about resizing as in but 49614. If
you change the font size in a formula in Writer or in Calc, then the Window,
which contains the formula, is resized immediately, while you are in edit mode
of the formula. That is not the case in Draw/Impress.

Row height is 0,6 cm. I found tow ways to make text visibla
a) Change Row height to 0,7cm.
b) Change paragraph spacing to 0cm.

I assume, that either the row height or the paragraph spacing is different from
from the settings in the original doc-file. Jack, can you give informations
about it? This would narrow down the problem.

It sucks in its sync-algorithms. I dont know how google controlled to write one
of these crappy set of rules. It doesnt sync stuff generally, I cant rename any
folder when it's far syncing, it creates temp files first earlier than syncing
and then refuses to sync. i used to be always afraid of dropping my documents
the use of google pressure. Reverted returned to onedrive.

The formula is resized in the formula editor itself by using the attribute
"size". So modify your formula to be:

size 20 { Profit = {Gewinn} over {eingesetztes Kapital} }

Ignore the displayed box size and exit the formula editor.

Now you see the formula has resized nicely.

Thanks for your reply. I still believe it's a bug though.
I don't think you should need to modify a document to view it properly when
other viewers/editors (Word and Google Docs) have no issues dealing with it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116253] 'NULL' appears as default text in text and combo boxes when editing a newly inserted record in a form's table control

If you set a VARCHAR field's Default to: xx (rather than Null),
then what actually gets displayed after record insertion is: 'xx' (with the
quotes) (another bug)

Expected result: the single quotes should not be displayed.

Fortunately, what actually gets inserted into the data base is just xx without
the single quotes.

--
5) It only happens if I don't enter a value in a field:

i)in a VARCHAR field it shows 'NULL'
 (bug)
(rather than quietly showing nothing which is what I would expect)
the SQL record gets a (NULL) as verified by HeidiSQL (as expected)

ii) in a DATETIME field it shows '1/1/13'
 (bug)
(rather than quietly showing nothing which is what I would expect)
the SQL record gets a (NULL) as verified by HeidiSQL (as expected)

iii) in a DECIMAL field it shows '$0.00' (when formatted to USD)
 (bug)
(rather than quietly showing nothing which is what I would expect)
the SQL record gets a (NULL) as verified by HeidiSQL (as expected)

iv) in a INTEGER field it shows nothing (when looked up with a listbox)
 (ok)
the SQL record gets a (NULL) as verified by HeidiSQL (as expected)

v)in a TINYINT fields it shows nothing (as expected)
 (ok)
the SQL record gets a 0 as verified by HeidiSQL
 (bug)
(rather than getting (NULL) which is what I would expect)

This happens both if settings are:

 Input required: Yes
   Tristate: Yes

   or are:

 Input required: No
   Tristate: No

--
6) This occurs if you set at least one field in the new record,
and then either hit up-arrow, down-arrow or enter to insert
   the new record.

--
7) A secondary bug then occurs if you had hit up-arrow.
If you then down arrow back into the newly created record,
and especially into a VARCHAR field, the 'NULL' remains
from before and now acts like it's actual text data!

==
Partial workarounds:
First, except for TINYINT's and for with #7 above, the data actually
in the SQL is correct. For #7 delete the 'NULL' text and you're ok.
Clicking the refresh icon ('Refreshes the display data.') seems to
repaint the screen correctly. (Simply scrolling up and down doesn't fix
it.)
