[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115464] UI of export to PNG and JPG misleading for resolution

Mockup for the dialog

(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #15)
> So please change the mockup to have separate
> width and height fields in category 'Pixels'.

Different units are available right now via dropdown. If we remove the total
numbers of pixels the dialog looks a bit overcomplicated; taking Tomaz comment
into account that the dpi value is rather an advice we could drop the
dependency and have just an input field, e.g. a combobox with common values
72,150,300..., that doesn't depend on the size.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117931] Mysql Connector Extension 4-3 no longer works with current LibreOffice

OK. In the directory where mysql extension is installed, I created a symbolic
link named libmysqlclient.so.18 pointing to the libmysqlclient_r.so in the same
directory. Running LO resulted in the following error.
Unable to load the libmysqlcppconn.so library.
The very same error occurred when the symbolic link was pointing to the
/usr/lib64/libmysqlclient_r.so
Than, I deleted all symbolic links previously created and enabled in LO
Connection pooling enabled. When LO has been restarted the connection to mysql
worked great. However, when I restarted LO again, the connection has gone with
the above mentioned error.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118121] New: TABLE: Border between merged cells reappears after open

2018-06-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118121

Bug ID: 118121
Summary: TABLE: Border between merged cells reappears after
open
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.beta1+
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: phil.kry...@gmail.com

Description:
In a table with vertically merged cells, a border appears between these cells
although text flows freely through that border. The document looks good when
opened in 6.0.3 or 6.0.4, however, 6.1.0b1 has the bug, which also affects
preview and PDF output.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the document.
2. Look at the last two columns of the first row

Actual Results:
The merged cells are crossed with a border that can't be removed.

Expected Results:
There should be no border between the merged cells.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108244] Cell Comments Often Loss when Saving in FODS Format. Steps to reproduce in comment 5

2018-06-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108244

The problem still occurs for me.

Version: 5.4.7.2
Build ID: c838ef25c16710f8838b1faec480ebba495259d0
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default; VCL: kde4;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group

The steps to reproduce this issue must be very precise.
1) Load LibreOffice
2) Load the testcase file.
3) Do *not* save the file in the ODS format first.
4) *Do* save the file in the FODS format.
5) Close the file.
6) Open the FODS file.

In my testing today, I find that saving the file first in the ODS format will
cause the comments to be stored in the FODS *but* if the FODS file is further
modified and saved the comments will be lost.

The problem also appears to be reproducible in

Version: 6.0.4.2
Build ID: 9b0d9b32d5dcda91d2f1a96dc04c645c450872bf
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default; VCL: kde4;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group

[it's unfortunate that my comment #1 does not have the correct steps to
reproduce ... these are in comment #5]

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118120] New: EDITING: Selecting the ALL button on the message box displayed when user starts DELETE of multiple items in Base Tables window goes to help file instead of deletin

Bug ID: 118120
Summary: EDITING: Selecting the ALL button on the message box
displayed when user starts DELETE of multiple items in
Base Tables window goes to help file instead of
deleting all items.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.beta1+

OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drewjensen.in...@gmail.com

Description:
When you select multiple items of a list of Tables and Views in the Base window
and try to delete them all at once a message box asks if you want to delete the
first one selected or 'ALL' of the items. Executing the ALL button should do
just that - in 6.1 Beta 1 (and not in 6.0.4 or 5.4.7) it actually takes you to
the help page about the ALL button.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open attached file
2. go to Tables section, answer later in the migration assistant message
3. select the first 6 items in the list of views and tables (actually 2 or
more)
4. Enter DELETE key
5. A message box opens "Do you want to delete the table '1. Data Fields for
Custom Reports'?" and displays three buttons, click on ALL

Actual Results:
The local help page for Base is displayed.

Expected Results:
All the selected items should be deleted.

Before and after of possible bug

I was able to reproduce a bug where, when I decrease the size of the chart area
and container, most of the y-axis labels disappear. I'm not sure if this is the
same bug that is listed in this report so I am keeping this one as unconfirmed.
I wasn't able to cause the exact bug mentioned here. I followed the same steps
to get where I was at in the images. I did this on version 6.0.4.2 x64,
Windows.

Thanks to pay attention to that. Sorry, no time to post an example (maybe later
but it is not a priority).

I can't reproduce with fresh created files from MACintosh.
And only documents created by one person get this behaviour.

So, it is not a bug but malformated (badly written by user) .docx

Best regards.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118107] Assertion failure when playing Fade in and Swivel animation (with OpenGL)

Unwinding a bit, we got an assert because:
we don't enter if bTryDirectPaint block (see
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/vcl/source/outdev/bitmap.cxx#661)

659 bool bTryDirectPaint(!pDisableNative && !bHMirr && !bVMirr);

and gdb indicates bHMirr = true (whereas the others are false)

bHMirr = true because
637  const bool bHMirr = aOutSz.Width() < 0; (width = -1)

some frame above in the stack, we find:
285 rTargetSurface.DrawBitmapEx( aOutPos, aOutputSize,
286 BitmapEx(
maContent->GetBitmap(),
287aAlpha ) );
see
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/canvas/source/vcl/spritehelper.cxx#285

To be continued because I should add some traces to be sure.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118118] New: external file links still chased even if entry containing them deleted (change tracking enabled)

2018-06-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118118

Bug ID: 118118
Summary: external file links still chased even if entry
containing them deleted (change tracking enabled)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.3.0 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tmp...@gmail.com

1.Create a new calc spreadsheet, enter something in any cell. Save the
spreadsheet but leave the window open.
2.Create a second new calc spreadsheet.
3.Turn change tracking on (edit > track changes > record changes.)
4. Click on a cell, enter =, then click on the cell you filled in in step 1,
hit return.
5. The cell you filled in in step 4 should now show the value entered in step 1
(and if you look at the formula that has been entered it will start
"='file///…")
6. Delete the contents of the cell.
7. Save and close the second spreadsheet.
8. Open the second spreadsheet.
You will get a message (which message you get depends on the version of
LibreOffice) saying your spreadsheet has links to an external file and giving
you the option of following them.

As best I can tell, the only way to stop the message (other than enabling
automatic linking) is to stop recording changes, which of course loses ALL
change history.
(I've tried accepting or rejecting the change on just the cell in question and
that doesn't stop the message.)

I believe the problem is that because the change history remembers the external
file link even after the formula containing it has been deleted (or replaced by
something else) the program attempts to follow it when the spreadsheet is
loaded, even though the result won't actually be used. This is even true if
the change deleting the external has been accepted: the change history still
remembers the old value as having been changed.

I believe the "right" implementation here would be to process external file
links only if the result will be "used" in the spreadsheet. (I don't know what
happens, or, to be honest, what should happen, if an external link is in a
conditional expression of some kind and is used dependent on what the condition
evaluates to, although that may be a related issue.)

This "bug" (behavior) is present in 3.3, 6.0, and 6.1.0.0beta1.

Adding an if guard checking if mpSwapFile isn't empty around the following

mpSwapFile.reset();

However, I'm not sure if that makes the code consistent, and would rather leave
the change to Tomaz.

This seems to work now on our side, but it depends on gtk version from git
(gtk-3-24 branch), so users will have to wait for the next gtk release (3.24).

Using Ubuntu 18.04 with 6.0.3.2 (Ubuntu repo) and 6.1 Beta 1 (daily build dated
the 10th) the error happens in both versions.

Also tried it with 5.4.7 (rel) on Ubutnu 18.04 and the errant behavior is not
present. Setting as regression.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118117] New: Pivot table with column named "Data"

2018-06-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118117

Bug ID: 118117
Summary: Pivot table with column named "Data"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hel...@tretas.org

Created attachment 142663
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=142663=edit
Pivot table "Data" in column header

If we have a column named "Data" (case matters) when creating a pivot table the
aggregates will be shown in a single column.

To reproduce the problem do the following:

i) Open the attached file
ii) Change cell B4 to "Data" (without the quotes)
iii) Refresh the pivot table

The aggregates will be shown in a single column.

If we change back B4 cell to "B" and refresh the table, the aggregates will be
shown in three columns.

The column labels should not change the pivot table layout.

The bug is still there with 6.1.0b1. I would describe it simply as:
Changing cell padding on the Borders tab of the Table Properties dialog
automatically applies border properties (autoselected on dialog entry) as well,
that is, you cannot change borders and padding independently.

Bug is still present with 6.0.2.1 on Windows.

I think the behavior changed a bit, but it's still not plausible and differs
whether U select horizontal or vertical contiguous cells and whether U start in
the upper left or down right corner of the selection.

And it reacts on mouse wheel. Haven't found a solution out of the blue but
there likely is one. Question is if we need it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118114] New: Writer rotated text in table reorders itself

2018-06-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118114

Bug ID: 118114
Summary: Writer rotated text in table reorders itself
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: posti...@comcast.net

Description:
Typing in a table cell with text rotated 270 degrees sometimes results in
letters or words being put in the wrong order in the cell. Sometimes it appears
right on the Writer screen and sometimes wrong. I noticed the problem at first
when I exported to PDF a document I was working on.

I constructed the test case (which I will attach) that is much simpler than my
real-life document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on first cell of table in attached document
2. type 123456789

Actual Results:
When you type the '9', notice how it moves to the front of the text, before the
'1'.

Expected Results:
The '9' should stay where I want it, at the end of the text.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118113] MAILMERGE: Conditionally hidden section leads to anchoring to wrong page

2018-06-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118113

The cause of the problem is that the amount of pages in the merged document
differs for the single data records, as there is a text section that is hidden
when the value in the column "Hidden" in the recipient data is "True".
There is just a single page of content if the section is hidden, while there is
three pages of content when the section is not hidden.

I have analyzed the problem and plan to create a change in Gerrit soon.

2018-06-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 118113
Summary: MAILMERGE: Conditionally hidden section leads to

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Sample fle with hidden sections and a text box anchored to the page

Using mail merge on a document that contains objects anchored to the page and
sections that are hidden for some of the recipients may result in the objects
being anchored to the wrong pages in the resulting merged document.

Steps to reproduce:

1) open attached document "sample_mail_merge_with_hidden_section.odt"
2) run the Mail Merge wizard:
* select "Tools" -> "Mail Merge Wizard"
* select "Use the current document" -> "Next"
* keep "Letter" for the type of document to create -> "Next"
* select data source:
* choose "Select Address List"
* select "Add" and select the attached file "4-recipients.ods"
* click "OK" to confirm to use this as the address list
* make sure "This document shall contain an address block" is
unselected -> "Next"
* make sure "This document should contain a salutation" is unselected ->
"Finish"
3) select "Save Merged Documents" in the mail merge toolbar
4) select to save as a single large document and click "Save Documents"
5) Once the document has been generated, choose a file name of your choice to
save the generated document to.
6) Open the generated odt file

Result:

* The generated document has 13 pages (only 10 pages are actually "visible",
the other 3 pages were inserted to make sure the content for each of the 4 data
records starts on an odd page number).
* The content for the single data records starts on pages 1, 3, 5, and 9. (This
is expected.)
* The text boxes are anchored to pages 1, 5, 9, and 13, which means this does
not match the pages on which the content for the single data records starts.
* The 4 last pages are empty except for the last text box that is anchored to
page 13.

Expected result:

* The document should contain 9 pages. The 4 last pages from the actual result
should not be there at all.
* The content for the single data records starts on pages 1, 3, 5, and 9. (This
is already the case.)
* The text boxes should be anchored to pages 1, 3, 5, and 9 (one text box at
the start of the content for each of the 4 data records).
