@Zolnai any idea? I see in oox/source/ole/axcontrol.cxx that these controls use
the AxFontDataModel::convertProperties so maybe that has some funny defaults?

The docx when manually modified and resaved

After modification and a resave, font size is retained - I set 13 pt
intentionally, not 11 - and the underline and strikethrough effects are not
set.

This happens when a form control is newly created or an odt file is saved, but
it does not when an existing docx is loaded, modified and saved.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69254] Correct handling of font families (weight, style, stretches) on Mac

I tested Overpass on Windows 7 today and found different issues.
Perhaps on the different OSs different font meta data is used resulting in
different issues.
I am guessing that if the fonts had all the meta data filled-in

My findings today:

Overpass

Thin and ExtraLight - wrong screen display and print output.
Export to PDF is correct.

There is an error in the SemiBold regular font file – it has the font family
set to Overpass Light.
After fixing this file the Overpass SemiBold regular displays correctly.

Overpass Mono
-
There is an error in the OverpassMono SemiBold font file – it has the font
family set to Overpass Mono Light.
After fixing this file the OverpassMono SemiBold displays correctly.

Since you did not have these errors, but different errors,
I am wondering what font info is read by default,
and then by fallback if missing, in each OS.
And if this may be one source of issues.

p.s. doing Fira Sans tomorrow ...

Hi Thomas

What would you like to see posted there?
It looks like most everything posted there gets marked as a duplicate.

I have been testing various font families the last few days.
Some have bugs in the font files (like above).
But many families (almost all tested) have issues with the Thin and ExtraLight
fonts not displaying or printing correctly.
But they do Export to PDF correctly.

I have been documenting it all, but do not want to waste my time posting
multiple font lists, images, PDFs, etc. just to have things marked as duplicate
and ignored.

Cheers.

Bug ID: 118682

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.beta2+

 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Sample DOCX

Open the attached DOCX with a single table having a few cell values set, and a
calculated cell. This works in a limited way in Word, see [1].

Word doesn't have number formats in tables, however has no problem interpreting
numbers as such.
=> Writer imports them as text.

Word has a limited way of handling formula, they're special fields.
=> Writer shows a sort-of-field with 0 in it, but it doesn't behave like a
regular field, and can't be updated.

Not sure how to best handle these in Writer, it'd be great to import numbers as
such, and possibly convert formula to and from Writer formula (with
limitations).

Versione: 6.1.0.1

 Default settings (clean config)

I confirm I can reproduce this bug.
But, isn't it the normal behaviour of Calc that, when you copy a cell,
referring to another cell, the references got updated accordingly and, if you
paste the cell too far to the left (or above) the pasted cell, you end up
pointing to a non-existent cell?
I.e. for example in case 1, D20 should finally be pointing to {A-6position to
the left}{1+10position to the bottom} that is #REF!11
and, for case 2, if I have 1 in A1 and =A1 in B2 if I copy-paste B2 in B1 I got
=#RIF!1 (as I would expect); if I copy-paste B2 in D20 I got 0 (i.e.: =C19)...
Should it be normal (as I thought) or should default behaviour be different?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118681] New: SpecialCharacter dialog hex input handling of SMP codepoints is broken

2018-07-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118681

Bug ID: 118681
Summary: SpecialCharacter dialog hex input handling of SMP
codepoints is broken
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu

On Windows 10 Ent 64-bit en-US builds of
Version: 6.1.0.1 (x64)
Build ID: 378e26bd4f22a135cef5fa17afd5d4171d8da21a
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL or default;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL

Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: d27e4007c697f5eb78181181a0ddcd663ac265b2
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL or default;
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2018-07-10_00:34:24
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL

Special character dialog handling of SMP Hexadecimal codepoint entry is off...

Select "Noto Sans Symbols" font and try to search select a 1D15F (MUSICAL
SYMBOL QUARTER NOTE) glyph, or select "EmojiOne Color" and try to search select
a 1F320 (SHOOTING STAR) glyph.

Can't do it:

- keyboard entry is not sequential, text cursor of input field jumps to start
with each Hex pair. Makes it difficult to reliably enter the codepoint--and
finding a glyph in the SMP (e.g. for Emoji) is a real chore

- also an SMP codepoint input into the Hex field will not advance the Unicode
Subsets into the entries in the SMP plane. Neither will click selecting a glyph
from the chart, the Subset and glyph preview remain empty.

Impress Presentation to Illustrate Aggressive Fade Smoothly

Susan, thank you for your comment.

I have not seen that phenomenon. It may be unique to 6.2 alpha.

Attached is an Impress presentation of 17 slides that I hope illustrates what I
see. I believe what the brain perceives is very much dependent upon content of
Slides 1 and 2 during each transition. In other words, the jump start is
easier to see in some transitions.

I welcome all comments. Sure would like to see this resolved.

Steve

Clicking Help -> Check for Updates, enables the "LibreOffice update available"

Looks like the Static definition of the bitmap/icon used by the createMenuBarUI
used for the updatecheck needs a tweak.

Never had that. Might this be an "OpenGL on Windows" driver problem? Does it
happen with OpenGL disabled? Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View, Graphics
Output, disable "Use hardware acceleration" and restart LibreOffice.

(summary corrected, "decrypted" is something else ;-)

I tested this with the following builds using a 4-slide presentation (let me
know if you want a copy of the file). The following happened:

I ran the slide show. The first slide came up and there was a flash to the LO
interface and back again. It was a second long. When I went through the next 3
slides, there was a flash each time on each of the slides. Sometimes during a
flash, you can see the title actually move. I don't know if this is what you
mean and/or if this is related, but this is what I found. The flashing happens
both before and after the transition.

The current form of the code snippet is

if (!bTextFrame)
// Only do this for text frame.
return;

if (getSdrModelFromSdrObject().IsPasteResize())
// Don't do this during paste resize.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118678] New: File don't open correctly when i use Subtotals and save it in ODS format FILESAVE/FILEOPEN

2018-07-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118678

Bug ID: 118678
Summary: File don't open correctly when i use Subtotals and
save it in ODS format FILESAVE/FILEOPEN
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: viadigi...@gmail.com

Description:
I'm triying to use subtotals in a Calc document.
I have tried many times until i discovered that: when i save the file in ods
format y try to open it, the file don't show the information properly. the
colums appears ordered not properly.
Othrwise, if i save the same file in xls format, que file show perfectly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I have in a Calc sheet the table:
GRUPO 1 GRUPO 2 GRUPO 3 A B C D E
GRUPOA GRUPOC GRUPOG 1 1 1 1 1
GRUPOA GRUPOC GRUPOG 2 2 2 2 2
GRUPOA GRUPOC GRUPOG 3 3 3 3 3
GRUPOA GRUPOC GRUPOH 4 4 4 4 4
GRUPOA GRUPOC GRUPOH 5 5 5 5 5
GRUPOA GRUPOD GRUPOH 6 6 6 6 6
GRUPOA GRUPOD GRUPOI 7 7 7 7 7
GRUPOA GRUPOD GRUPOI 8 8 8 8 8
GRUPOA GRUPOD GRUPOI 9 9 9 9 9
GRUPOB GRUPOD HRUPOJ 10 10 10 10 10
GRUPOB GRUPOE GRUPOK 13 13 13 13 13
GRUPOB GRUPOE GRUPOK 14 14 14 14 14
GRUPOB GRUPOE GRUPOK 15 15 15 15 15
GRUPOB GRUPOE HRUPOJ 11 11 11 11 11
GRUPOB GRUPOE HRUPOJ 12 12 12 12 12
GRUPOB GRUPOF GRUPOL 16 16 16 16 16
GRUPOB GRUPOF GRUPOL 17 17 17 17 17
GRUPOB GRUPOF GRUPOL 18 18 18 18 18
GRUPOB GRUPOF GRUPOM 19 19 19 19 19
GRUPOB GRUPOF GRUPOM 20 20 20 20 20

2.I'm appliying subtotals to group "GRUPO 1", "GRUPO 2" and "GRUPO3" and
calculate subtotal (sum) for collumns A, B, C, D and E

3.When the subtotal was applied, save the file with format ODS (Libreoffice
Calc) and XLS (Microsoft Excel 97/2003) at the same time.

4. Close both files

5. Open both files, now you can see the diference. The ODS file shows the data
not properly, and the XLS shows them fine.

Actual Results:
The data in the columns are incorrectly ordered in the ODS file.

Expected Results:
The data has to show correctly using both extension ODS and XLS.

Reproducible: Always

Bibisected with Linux 42max. Unfortunately there were lots of skipped commits
due to refusal to launch and a peculiar case where the file opened with missing

Git finally regurgitated a list of 52 potential bad commits. I edited the list

course the last one I checked:

Confirmed on Windows 10 Home 64-bit en-US with
Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: d27e4007c697f5eb78181181a0ddcd663ac265b2
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2018-07-10_00:34:24
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL

The clipboard holds the copied text in multiple formats including CF_TEXT,
CF_UNICODETEXT, Rich Text Format, HTML Format, Richtext Format, Star Embed
Source (XML), HTML (HyperText Markup Language), Link, and Star Object
Descriptor (XML)

With it selected with cursor focus, the Paste (Ctrl+v) into the Drawing Text
Box object does paste some flavor of styled text (either HTML, RTF, or XML
can't tell). But the Edit -> Paste Unformatted Text (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+v) does
not respond; and Edit -> Paste Special is inactive.

I guess there are 2 issues here:
- paste with numbering - which may be a regression because OO worked but there
were changes during time how RTF paste worked this bug)
- continue numbering - which never worked.
