The contents inside the select a template window that shows at startup of the
LibreOffice Impress. There are numerous problems with the select a template
window
I don't know if it has already been reported but here is something I noticed
Libre Office Impress 64 bit version 6.1.0.1 windows 10
1. The contents inside the select a template window when clicked refreshes the
whole content and icons present in the window
2. You have to click the icon 4-5 times to open it, or it might be a delay. But
the open button is a quick workaround but there is a small delay.

3. When scrolling down in the window, the whole content in moves in laggy or
unanimate way. The animation is not smooth.

CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default;
Locale: en-IN (en_IN); Calc: CL

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Impress
2.The select a template window will appear by default
3.Select or scroll and you will notice these bugs

Actual Results:
The template icon will blink or refresh when clicked
When scrolling through the contents in the wndow, the animation is not smooth

There will be a delay in opening a template

Expected Results:
When clicked the template should open immediatley

The animation should be smooth
. The delay should be reduced

Reproducible: Always

Just made the standard RGB color palette, using the name "Standard RGB". It's
currently available here:
https://github.com/FloraCanou/standardrgb-palette-loext (since the official
extension site is rather slow).
I'm also trying to develop an optimized RYB-RGB conversion algorithm. I can't
catch the 6.1 release though.

I don't quite understand this. Could you please note in detail what I need to
do about it?

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

2018-07-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59820

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Heiko,
There is an error in the description instructions. It should read:

2. While Shape/Image is still highlighted, CTRL+C then CTRL+V

Raal realized this which it why it was confirmed.

If you try to COPY and paste in Word, you will see it's behavior is not the
same as writer. But this goes far beyond that. Shifted copy and pasted
images/shapes is the default for all Office Suites and all image editing
software that I am familiar with.

It took over 3-4 minutes for me to copy the latest master build to my disk.
Using an SSD and not seeing this with any other software. It feels this has

With Tor's excellent work in bug 104332, the loading time was greatly reduced,
and moved to startup, so maybe this isn't very important anymore.

There's this gerrit change, but not sure if it's going to be finished:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/56095/

I'm closing this as WONTFIX, if the change is committed, the status can be

JBF,

Thank you for your consideration.

I misspoke. The Hourglass is always there for my version of the software and
system. It was present when I was using Apache OpenOffice, too.

I recently changed monitors and have to run a bit of a letterbox format in
order to display 16:9 images. Just an old guys confusion.

I like the quote, and agree. I wouldn't want to break anything. :)

I am attaching to this bug a presentation I attached to the other bug I've
reported. The hourglass is omnipresent.

menu "Tabelleneigenschaften Textfluss" where the point "Trennung der Tabelle an
Seiten- und Spaltenenden zulassen" is checked.

If the table is too long this should be checked. Normally I do not see a
problem with tables even if this is checked. Only sometimes this problem
happens. Then it had been quite hard getting fixed. With a long text its time
consuming checking the whole text each time before making a new pdf file for
errors like that.

Best regards
Matthias

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118817] FIREBIRD: EXTRACT Function - WEEK, WEEKDAY and YEARDAY

2018-07-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Drew Jensen changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW
 OS|Windows (All) |All
 CC||drewjensen.in...@gmail.com
 Ever confirmed|0 |1

Confirmed in today's build of 6.1 RC and 6.2Alpha0

The extract function will work without SQL Direct enabled but is not recognized
in the designer UI.

For example:
1 Download this example file
https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/ePAmqMj3N2Ywms4

2 Create a new query with the SQL view and enter the following Select
statement.
SELECT "Country",
   COALESCE("FirstName", ' ', "LastName") As "Name",
   EXTRACT(YEAR FROM "OrderDate") As "Year",
   COUNT(*) As "Count"
FROM "Employees" INNER JOIN "Orders"
ON ("Employees"."EmployeeID"="Orders"."EmployeeID")
GROUP BY "Country", "Name", "Year"

3 Run the query (zero records because one of the tables is empty)

4 switch views to the designer UI

5 Unable to run the query or even switch back to SQL view.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118862] New: XML Form Document: Impossible to create a second instance in the same model

2018-07-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118862

Bug ID: 118862
Summary: XML Form Document: Impossible to create a second
instance in the same model
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.5.0 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de

Open LO.
File > New > XML Form Document
On the right you could see the Data Navigator. If not switch to the bottom of
the window, 4th button from the left.
Data Navigator shows "Instance 1" and there "instanceData".
There is a listfield right down there called "Instances".
You could create new instances there or delete instances or change instances.
Create a new instance and give it a name.
The instance appears but couldn't be changed any more.

Now save the form, close and reopen it. Doesn't changed it's behavior.
Delete the first instance, "Instance 1".
Save the form, close and reopen it. The new created instance has now a node
"InstanceData" and could be changed.

Two solutions:
Let it be possible to create more than one instance in one model.
Disable the possibility to create a new instance if an instance exists.

All tested with LO 6.0.5.2 on OpenSUSE 42.3 64bit rpm Linux. But it's the same
behavior all the time before. XML-Forms were not changed since the beginning of
LO.

The problem is not what is the default, the problem is changing the current
default. That need developer time, testers time, translator time, and community
time to explain to millions users why the appearance of their spreadsheets has
changed.

It seems you have some reluctance to use template; you can ask for help on this
subject on users mailing-list or on asklibo. You should have a look on

I think that the key point is the difference between highlight and background.
It works as expected if, font color being set to white, the background is set
to black and highlight to none, but not if the background is set to none and
the highlight color to black.
Bug 115507 is only about background color.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118859] New: Crash when two Fields are empty, on same line and inside a table and hide paragraphs of empty fields active

2018-07-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118859

Bug ID: 118859
Summary: Crash when two Fields are empty, on same line and
inside a table and hide paragraphs of empty fields
active
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.1 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: domi...@dwalden.co.uk

Description:
I have a document which includes two Fields side-by-side, e.g.
---

---
If they are inside a table cell and my database contains an entry where both of
those fields are empty, if I do something like "Edit Individual Documents" or
"Save Merged Documents", LibreOffice exits unexpectedly.

This only happens when the option in Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer >
Compatibility > "Hide paragraphs of database fields (e.g., mail merge) with an
empty value" is selected.

It does NOT happen when that option is unselected but the "Suppress lines with
just empty fields" option in the Mail Merge Wizard is selected.

Also, it only happens if there is one or more newlines before the table.

I have a crash report:
https://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/a5eceb8e-23a4-4287-8fe5-052fe12dc69d

Steps to Reproduce:
Easiest way of reproducing (probably...) is using the Mail Merge Wizard, as it
puts the Address Block in a table.
1. Create a new Writer document
2. Go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Compatibility and check that
"Hide paragraphs of database fields..." is ticked. Tick it if not and click OK.
3. Select Tools > Mail Merge Wizard...
4. Check radio button "Use current document" and click Next.
5. Check radio button "Letter" and click Next.
6. Click "Select Different Address List...", click Add and select the attached
spreadsheet. Highlight the newly added spreadsheet and press OK.
7. Make sure "This document shall contain an address block" is ticked. Click
More and then click New.
8. Add two address elements, "" and "" on the same line
(attached screenshot showing what I mean). Click OK and then OK again.
9. Click "Match Fields..." and check that "" and "" are
matched to the fields "First Name" and "Last Name" respectively. Do so if not.
Click OK and then Next.
10. Untick (if it is not already unselected) "This document should contain a
salutation" (I do not think it makes a difference). Click Next and then Finish.
11. Then click something like "Edit Individual Documents" or "Save Merged
Documents".

Possibly also happens if you Print or Email, but I have not tried.

Can also reproduce this by adding Fields via Insert > Field > More Fields >
Database, and inserting fields into a table. Just remember to place the table
not at the very top of the document, but add one or more newlines before it.

Actual Results:
LibreOffice will exit unexpectedly/crash.

Expected Results:
Not crash.

Reproducible: Always

We applied the schema (module) somewhere else recently (bug
118330). So my take would be

All Document Types
Text Documents (Writer)
Spreadsheets (Calc)
Presentations (Impress)
Drawings (Draw)

OTOH, the only unclear term here is Documents and we could simply add "Text"
before it. Keep in mind that long text expands a dropdown (like for All
Categories). And we should also keep the localization team free of unnecessary
work.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118858] New: Copying selected filtered cells copies all cells in range instead of only selected (FILTER)

2018-07-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118858

Bug ID: 118858
Summary: Copying selected filtered cells copies all cells in
range instead of only selected (FILTER)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: k...@purdue.edu

Description:
Found an interesting bug in the latest (6.0.5.2) and previous (6.0.4.2)
LibreOffice Calc on MacOS 10.13.6. It may have occurred in earlier releases in
the 6.x branch, but I haven't had the occasion to test those. I've not tried in
other operating systems.

When selecting cells in a filtered table and copying them to the clipboard, I
would normally expect only the selected visible cells to be copied. However,
what I see is that all cells in the range (including cells filtered out based
on my filter) are copied as well, if I view the clipboard directly as plain
text.

What is actually pasted seems to depend on the target application, however.
Other LibreOffice apps get only what I've selected, as do other competing
office applications. Plain text editors, on the other hand, get the whole range
(exactly what's in the clipboard).

It may be the exact object copied to the clipboard contains the whole range
with certain metadata indicating to compatible apps what should be shown (which
would allow copying the whole range with the filter in place between
spreadsheets), but this would seem to be a counter-intuitive behavior, and it's
certainly a new behavior. In the 5.x branch of LibreOffice the expected
behavior (only visible selected cells are copied) occurs.

Interestingly, with some external text editors (TextMate, for example) I can
select the visible cells with the mouse, then drag-and-drop paste into the
editor exactly the cells you have selected, but that operation doesn't use the
MacOS clipboard.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a multi-column, multi-row spreadsheet with a header row. For example:

Number,Day
one,Monday
two,Monday
three,Wednesday
four,Friday
five,Tuesday
six,Monday

2. Filter the sheet so only rows with "Monday" in the Day column are shown.
3. Select the now visible cells from the Number column:

one
two
six

4. Select Edit -> Copy or press command+C
5. Open a program that can receive text that isn't part of Libre Office, such
as Text Edit.
6. Paste

Actual Results:
Observe that you jut pasted:

one
two
three
four
five
six

Expected Results:
What should have been pasted:

one
two
six

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
I'm viewing the clipboard pre-paste with an app called Pastebot, which stores
clipboard history beyond the current clipboard and lets you view or perform
actions on the current clipboard. It does not modify the clipboard until
instructed to.

you see a cheetah and you just snap a photo of it sleeping in the grass cool
you got a photo of a cheetah now imagine waiting until sunset or sunrise
until the lighting was perfect and that cheetah happens to get up and find it
a little bit of prey and you stock it and you wait and it's running through
and right as it pounces at the animal you snap the shot of its face its
intensity its animal instincts and when you show that photo to people they
feel the energy of it was like to be there Wow right I mean I have
goosebumps that's what photography is all about eighth mistake people are
making is they're not painting with light now if you've ever been on a photo
shoot and your biggest concern is just making sure the person has light on
their face you're in the beginning stages of photoshoots and that's a very
exciting time because now once you've mastered just taking someone's photo
you can start getting creative if you're a black and white photographer then
you know shadows are a very cool way to make a black-and-white photo stand
out so I challenge you the next time you're out shooting and someone wants to
picture them or your girlfriend's at the pool and wants a picture instead of
just taking out your camera and taking a picture try pulling like a palm tree
off of a branch or try pulling orange leaves off a fall tree whatever it is
put it in front of the lens get creative now you're gonna move from just
taking a photo and you're gonna start creating a photo and one of the best
ways to do that is by using light and shadows to help add depth to your photo
now the ninth biggest mistake I think photographers are making right now
especially in the travel Shondra is by taking the safe and obvious photograph
if you walk up to a beautiful waterfall and you're like holy shit that is a
beautiful waterfall and you lift your camera at eye level and you snap a
photo of it you are not statistically the first person to have ever found that
photograph so if it makes you feel better to capture that capture that but
as soon as you're done taking that safe obvious photograph almost everyone is
probably captured then start looking around find new interesting perspectives
find a nice bush to shoot through you know find the bush merch coming soon
think bigger if it's a beautiful waterfall you're at and you're thinking of
just taking a photo of someone just sitting there smiling think maybe well
what happens if I put on a telephoto lens and walk way back there and get the
same photo like that one looks like this which is a completely different
photograph I've been creating on Instagram and YouTube since these platforms
started and I've seen a lot of photographers come and go and % of the time
the photographers that I see rise up and actually hold their position and
create good stuff or the ones who are just experimenting and having fun they
didn't see them somewhere try to copy them and just try to ride coattails
it's beyond OK to be inspired by people's work but instead of trying to copy
it try to figure out what they're doing so that you can put it into your own
work which transitions us to the last mistake of this video photographers are
making and it's number ten I think every photographer that is up-and-coming
and that is learning a program like Lightroom should be buying creators
presets a lot of people would argue that you shouldn't buy someone else's
presets you should develop a style of your own and here's why I disagree with
them one hundred and fifty percent when you're learning a program like
Lightroom there are millions of variations of ways you can color a photo if
you try to learn a program like Lightroom to learn how to edit like some of
your favorite photographers not using presets is essentially like learning to
play the guitar like the musicians you love without ever learning their songs
i buy creators presets all the time and here's why it's not because I need
them to show me how to edit because maybe I wanted to know what color blue
they were using for their waters I might buy an entire preset pack just to
figure out what combination of sliders and things they did to make the skin
tone look that way so once I buy it I click the preset and I look at all
their settings I'm like oh my god that's how they did that aside from being
able to buy a preset and essentially make your feed look professional in like
 minutes

2 approaches to fix it

1) implement a XSL stub to change image url at build time for help pages
pro: quite easy
con: longer Help build time,
keep two files with similar purposes (link.txt and link.txt.xsl)

2) do it on Help sources once for all.
pro: problem fixed
con: trigger retranslation of all affected tags, need special script to
mute retranslation
