[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 97956] Don't fragment A:A conditional formatting when rows/columns are moved
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97956 --- Comment #9 from 7qia0t...@sneakemail.com --- Is there any chance of this ever being fixed? I have to manually edit the conditional formatting spans dozens of times per day for years because of this. It's very frustrating. F:F means "the entire column F". It does not mean "Column F, rows 1 through 1048576". The former does not make sense to break up when rows are swapped. It always means "the entire column F" even if you move cells up or down within that column. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118969] CLEAR ALL FORMATTING -- in addition to clear direct formatting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118969 --- Comment #8 from peter josvai --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #6) > Phrasing the use case differently might be helpful: "I'm looking for easy > means to reset styles to default". Meaning the function reverts the > paragraph style to Text Body, or Default today, and clears all character > styles. Is that correct? YES, that's what meant... and after re-thinking it all, I would say that the functionality I was trying to outline and ask for is exactly: a one button or one click functionality that does "copy AND paste_back_as_unformatted".. as a new paragraph - - - PS: and I meant it sort of like a "panic button"... or a fail-safe solution :) like "resetting it to clean text"... but I also understand that such a functionality cannot just be dropped into an application that has decades of usage-culture behind and underlying it.. it would, in any case, take lots of user input and discussion.. // sorry for the length... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47592 --- Comment #19 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119010] Page area hatch doesn't work correctly in a Writer document with mirrored pages.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119010 --- Comment #3 from Robin Henderson --- I'm afraid I can't find LibreOffice v3.3 All I could find is v3.3 of the Software Developers Toolkit which carries the OpenOffice branding. I only installed LibreOffice for the first time yesterday v5.4.2 and upgraded to 6.0.5.2 today when I hit the bug. So, I'm rather out of my depth. Previously I was running OpenOffice v4.1.3. The feature to configure Gradient, Bitmap, Pattern and Hatch isn't present in OO 4.1.3. The only feature offered is Format >> Page >> Background >> Colour so I'm guessing that this is a new feature added by LibreOffice. Hope this helps a little, Sorry I can't give you more to go on. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114782 --- Comment #4 from Mike --- Visuals: Issue still there. Additional observations: a) All possible anchors of a frame are affected (Page, Paragraph, To Character, As Character) b) Every change between the anchors makes the shape (anchored to frame) disappear. (e. g. If you insert frame, change anchor to character, insert Shape, anchor it to frame and then change anchor of frame to paragraph.) c) Additionaly to shapes, fontworks are also affected. d) Only anchor 'To frame' affects Shapes and Fontworks. e) Inserted Charts, Formula and Images are not affected. f) Objects, that can only be anchored to frame (Hyperlink, Horizontal Line) are not affected. g) Enabling "Protect Position" in Shape properties does not help. h) You need one step to make shape disappear ('Change Style:Frame1'), but a second Undo to make it reappear ('Undo: Apply attributes')! Test cases suite a.) Export did not improve: Of the 36 test cases Gordo provided, 23 were exported incorrect. These export issues are still in 6.1RC2. There are no variations of the export issues (different issues). b.) Import *did* improve: 3 of those 23 were additionally imported incorrect with 4.4. The shape was displayed partly outside of frame. In MSO13, shape is displayed complete outside of it. Same with LO now. (c. Gordo provided a great spreadsheet with the test results in “objects in frames test results v1.1.odt” One of the 3 was marked as working in it ('object in frame 4.docx'). There is no regression. I tested file with 3.3 and 4.4: It had always issues.) [2] Open Gallery with menu: View > Gallery [3] Select theme 'Sounds'. [4] Double-click a displayed sound. The Media Player is opened and plays the sound. [5] Dock the Media Player right or left. [6] Try to close the Media Player. I did not find an obvious possibility to close the Media Player. Even if you close and start LibreOffice again the Media Player will still be displayed. Expected: Obvious possibility to close the Media Player. [7] I found these possibilities to close the Media Player: (a) With a left click into the bottom right corner below the list box you can pull up an undocked Media Player. The undocked player can be closed. (b) In the Customize dialogue you can add the command Media Player to a menu, a toolbar or shortcut key. Afterwards the player can be closed with the added command. (c1) Open toolbar Media Playback. (c2) Click 'Media Player' in toolbar. The Media Player is closed. But: (c3) Double-click a displayed sound in the Gallery again. Now the media player is displayed incompletely (Speaker is not displayed) and the sound is not played. Bug also exists in Impress and Draw. In Calc it's even not possible to play a sound at step 4. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119004 Bug ID: 119004 Summary: EDITING: LibreOffice crashes every 10-60 seconds (perhaps a problem with tables?) Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.5.2 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: daniele.ra...@linux.com Description: Since I upgraded to LibreOffice v6.0.5.2 (x64) on Win10, Writer crashes all the time when I'm editing a document. Sometimes it takes as less as 10 seconds after opening a document, other times I can work a fully 60 seconds before a crash, but never longer than that. Writer freezes for a second, then it exits without any error message. Often I can tell it's going to crash because I put the cursor in a table and the Table toolbar doesn't appear, as it should. Some of the actions that triggered a crash: - Deleting rapidly several rows from a table - Selecting some cells of a table - Adding rows on a table - Right-clicking on the Table Of Contents - Double-clicking to select a part of text with Heading 1 style I'm currently working on a ~170 pages document which has a large number of tables in it, so perhaps it's related to tables. I noticed that when editing a very simple and short document with no tables Writer didn't crash, but I worked on it for too short a time to be able to draw any conclusion. Workarounds I tried and which didn't have any effect: - Reset my user profile - Disable hardware acceleration - Disable antialiasing - Disable OpenGL Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the document 2. Fiddle a bit here and there Actual Results: Writer crashes silently. Expected Results: Writer should not crash. But an example may be the result of some old bug in LO, who knows. We can't know because we don't have reproducible steps. So I close as Invalid. It's not probable that someone will go into this to fix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118996] applying EM (emphasis) causes "A as italic" be ON
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118996 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDINFO Ever confirmed|0 |1 CC||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #2 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to raal from comment #1) > Hello, how to apply Em? > STEP #1.: select a few words and apply "Em" Yes it is unclear as to the OPs usage. Using +I applies Direct Formatting, as does the Italic button from the Formatting toolbar. Only by enabling the Formatting (Styles) toolbar, is the "E" button action applying the "Emphasis" style to the selected text span. Again--"Em" is not a LibreOffice command, we deal with XML manipulation of ODF. OP seems to be expecting some mix HTML5/CSS3 concepts which we do not support directly--ONLY via our XHTML export process. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

You have to activate "Experimental features" for creating a new internal Firebird database, but you are able to work with an internal Firebird database without experimental features.
