https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106572 Justin L changed: What|Removed |Added Assignee|libreoffice-b...@lists.free |jl...@mail.com |desktop.org | Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #14 from Justin L --- (In reply to Justin L from comment #11) > Several problems here. Is it OK to close this bug report? I would rate the header problem as unfixable (unless someone wants to hire a senior programmer for a year to re-write writer internals with a continuous section enhancement) and there are many bug reports already with this as the root cause. The dynamic spacing issue could be somewhat unique, but it probably related to anchor issues which again exists in countless bug reports. Anyway, I've already convinced myself with that paragraph, so I'll mark it as fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109328 --- Comment #3 from Rodrigo Castanheira --- Bug is still present - if you move the cursor in an input field (single click to select followed by another single click) which is placed inside a protected section and then try to paste text from clipboard, nothing happens. Although in my case, I've never tried to "Send" anything. But when I am scrolling down in the "File" menu, if the mouse accidentally hovers over the "Send" for a moment, then LO freezes and then crashes. i.e. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a document with Writer 2. Scroll down to File > Send 3. LO freezes for a few seconds (or longer) then crashes I haven't changed any of the Tools>Options>Internet settings from the defaults. So e-mail is blank. (Interestingly, when I selected Tools>Options>Internet>MediaWiki, LO immediately crashed. Probably a separate bug?) Both crashes also occur in LibreOffice "Safe Mode". The only difference is LO crashes almost immediately instead of freezing for a while first. MSWord can have one page with several different margins, which are saved using continuous sections, which causes all kinds of trouble, because either we treat them as Writer sections, which means we lose some of the data, or we treat them as Writer page styles, which causes spurious page breaks if in the wrong place. Either option has its problems, but here it seems slightly better to go for keeping the data and hoping the page break will be in a place where a break will be anyway. Change-Id: I8f52aa820750da6788ea04180a15ac334f6bf87b I was able to get a stable result from bibisect only by creating a new user profile at each step. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117329] Improve anchor of images
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117329 RGB changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rgb.m...@gmail.com --- Comment #6 from RGB --- Just to make things clear, a quick and oversimplified review of what LaTeX does by default (users can change those settings) with its "floats," either figure or table, always considering the insertion point as reference: 1. If there is space, figure is moved to the top of the page text area 2. If there is no space on top, figure is moved to the bottom of the text area 3. If still there is no place, figure is moved to the following page 4. If *still* there is no place, figure gets its own page, as close as possible to the insertion point The probability of getting two pictures superpose is exactly zero in LaTeX, and they will never cover footnotes. All this is performed automatically by LaTeX every time the document is compiled. In Writer you can set the frame positioning to be on top or bottom of the text area, even in the frame style, but there is a high risk of two pictures going one on top of the other or accidentally covering footnotes, so you need to do the positioning by hand for each frame, and then move anchor points of those frames to avoid "holes" at the end of page when the paragraph to which the frame is anchored moves to the next page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This happens on an Ubuntu 18.04 system with 64GB RAM and on a Windows 10 system with 16GB RAM with the same or different spreadsheets. So split that up so we get a first-master and first-left format and copy the headers/footers and margins as appropriate... which is really adding epicycles to a flawed design; probably this would be better with just a single SwFrmFmt that has different items for master/left/first headers. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 69065 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118928] FILESAVE DOCX: Table loses set name after save

An internet search suggests that this can only be done using Macros. So I did a Selection.Tables(1).ID = "My Crazy Table" and saved the result. MSWord 2003 did not save that name within the document for either .doc or .docx format. I also looked through the DOCX documentation, but didn't find a reference to naming a table in there either (although I'm not an expert for what to look for in the documentation). https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119283 --- Comment #5 from sverre48 --- Well, the excel file contains the fixtures in the premier league for the 2018-19 season and is based on this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/51m7ic5aw9egq2x/Lukaku%2C%202017-18.xlsx?dl=0 which opens as expected in excel 2010. Here there is a new sheet containing the matches from round 1 to 38 for a certain team. This was created around August 10 - using the latest official Libreoffice calc at that time and uploaded/shared using dropbox. So I am not able to find/pin point what causes excel 2010 (and other Microsoft releases) to issue the opening file warning (damaged file).
